  1. SuperMaoriFulla is a massive fan of these boards and a great supporter of the artists here.

I did up a rather hulking version of his hero Comrade Hero, but now I wish I would have made 'em much smaller (in keepign with how others have depicted him).

So, with that in mind, I did up his badies with a few less buldging muscles.

    Here is .... Rack
  2. Very nice stuff man.

As a refrence or do you actually work over the image?

    Partially sometimes, yes.
  4. I've been using Poser a lot lately for ... my poses.

    The Gift

    Soooooooooo cooooooooooooooooooooool
  6. FYI, I have now chosen Feb's hero.
  7. Personally I liked WIZARD's series on HOW TO DRAW.
  8. I made a few changes to him.

-blended the interior line art a little (hard to tell except for the skull
-messed with the flame a bit
-added a "cartoon border" around the outline
    -took out the name.

    Can you feel the Power?

Really love it Juggertha! Thanks sooo much. Whenevr you enlist someone else to draw your character it's always a bit of a gamble. Will they get it right? Is there vision going to be the same as mine? etc, etc.
I have to say you did an amazing job of getting this exactly like I wanted. Thanks again !

And thus the risk of doing someone elses character... I try my best but am never 100% sure - that's why I love feedback.

I really hope you like it man.

I think my worst for the year was Light-Speed. That's safe to say since she's my own character... which also means that I probably had the highest hopes for it being cool.

As for why it's not good, shes WAY too stiff. I wanted to capture her just about to land from a jump. If I had gotten it right, she'd be leaned back, limbs bent to cushion the landing, torso forward with the motion, etc etc. It just isn't what I wanted.

Someday, I might go back and redo it. But probably not.

    Here's a reminder; LIGHT-SPEED poster

Yeah, I can se it. Honestly though, I thought you intended her to have a "floating look".

Ah well, we learn from it all eh.
  12. So I guess we're on to the best of 2007
  13. Great shots. I saw the first one on DA a while back (lst week), and faved it then. Very nice work you're collecting.

    GRAVERED!!!

    Sooooooo simple yet cool.

    GJ.
  15. My summary:

    1) Get good enough that you have your own style and that you are consistant in it.

    2) Get a thick skin - clients will tell you if you are not giving them what they want.

    3) Set aside time. Like any other job, if you're going to take it seriously, then dedicate time to it.

    4) Start small and grow from there. First see if there is even a demand for your work, then start to gauge it from there. Also, chck out the competition and see if you can (in some way) compare.

    Just my bits of advice.

I've lived in Korea for 5 years... some are a little partial the the "C" spelling (there is a legend that during the Japanese occupation of Korea, that the Japanese changed the original spelling that of a "K" - so that it would folow Japan alphabetically)

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yeah this pretty much explains it:

    K or C

Cafeful with that site-- a few inaccuracies.

  18. Um, I'm a little confused by the above post.

    Anyone else able to understand?
