Quote:Can't speak to more than two, but with two, there's a LOT you can do. For one, you can help powerlevel yourself if you're stuck in an awkward level range (not that that's very necessary anymore).Yeah, I'm with you. I also have two accounts and, while I will often have both active at the same time, I can usually only do minor things, like doorsittting or occasionally following my main on a farm map spamming buffs. Running a fire.kin farmer with another fire.kin in tow can be pretty devastating: six imps, double hot feet, double fulcrum shift, speed boosting each other.
I've also used both accounts in other game situations like Shard TFs, where I leave one toon at the contact while the other actually runs the TF. I've also managed to run a tank and an EMP on a hami. When my tank's yellow goes down, I switch to the emp and rez and buff.
That's about it. I can't even get my head around five accounts at once.
For badging or unlocking costume pieces and such it's wonderful. And best of all, you're your own support. I like to run heavy damage dealers with support characters running behind them. Using auto-assist, I can reach over and use power buttons on the other computer (heal is always 1, attacks from there, debuffs 7-0). I guess I should have mentioned that I use a strong laptop for one account and another computer for the other. Sometimes I play two windowed, but it's pretty clunky to control both that way.
Most people don't even notice I'm running two accounts when teaming or TFing -
Is the only one available the one with Desdemona on it? It's pretty cool and all, but I don't feel I can whip it and her big butt out in semi-professional settings. I'd be proud to show it off it it were Maelstrom or some other "City of" graphic.

Whew. Well in that case my friend... I mean -- I -- will probably fix it
-
I'm pretty sure there's no rule against having more than one account as long as you're not a GOLD PHARMER!, but in case I'm wrong... I'm asking this for a friend.
If you have two accounts, is there any reason you can't use the same e-mail address for both? Right now I... my friend... has to check two different e-mail boxes for information and it's annoying... to my friend. -
I know there were some VEAT specific missions early on, but now that I'm level 35, he's not giving me anything. Are there missions through the levels like for Kheldians? If so, who's the contact?

According to redname PM, there IS protection, though he said he couldn't provide details. That's fine by me.
The only thing I wanted to know was that there's some method used to prevent someone from scooping up my name and password during login when I'm using wireless or otherwise on the road and it appears there is. -
Quote:This must be what I seem like to others when I'm really angry about something I don't like/undestand. No wonder they get so frustrated...1. A badger is a small furry animal, so I don't see how you could possibly be one, as no natural badger has reached sentience and the ability to write and use a keyboard.
Quote:I come back to this game every once in a while to see if they've fixed any of this nonsense programming. I was delighted to find that they've finally introduced a way of transferring items and infamy between characters. Wonderful. Only took them six years.
As much as I scoff at the poor decisions made early on, I don't doubt their good intentions. Many MANY of the things that I've always wanted for this game, they've eventually done and while my list isn't complete, I have hope.
Quote:In any case, it's apparent that there's still plenty of BS flying around, so I'm out again. I'll come back next year and see if they've fixed anything by then.
If you want to continue to throw your tantrum, we won't stop you. Don't let the door hit you on the way out. -

Thanks! But no villain flashback guide? I know I saw something once... or at least I thought so.
EDIT: And the moment I search for it properly, there it is

Before flipping my main badgers to the other side, I'd like to finish the badges they're working on already. Where's the most updated flashback badge guides for hero/villain? I found an oldish hero one, but no villain yet.

I travel a lot so I worry about logging in from hotels or wifi hotspots. Is there any kind of encryption or protection on the login from the CoH game client?
Red name response appreciated. -
The dude remembered to give me the razer mouse pad things. Are there alternate pictures? Maybe maelstrom? Desmonda has a scary huge butt that I'm a bit embarrassed to have hanging out near my wife and kids.

Quote:I scanned around and even used the search, but didn't find the other threads (or else I wouldn't have posted this question).I came to the foums to see if anyone had a use for this power.
I see we're all in the same boat on this one.
I really hate the forum search feature (which has never worked for me) -

Quote:Thanks for the kind offerWelcome to Virtue! Definitely a place for badgers. I have a rabid group working on Cathedral of Pain tomorrow and making plans for a badge-hunting night weekly after we switch sides. Pm me sometime, we can keep you company.
--------------------
Edit
All you badgers coming to Virtue:
- join public channel "Virtuebadgers09". There are 1,900 + members now. It caps at 2,500 so there's still room if you are looking for a good channel. Not dead at all, 217 folks on now.
- keep your Villain Event Zone messages and Hero Event Zone messages channel on each alt, even if it's not your badge alt. Easy to switch alts quickly and grab a team
- list yourself on City Info Tracker and/or Badge-hunter.com. It's the best way to see who is actively badging and create teams for others who are also missing the same badges.I may just do that.
-
Ok. I have it, but what does it really do? I can't rest or walk with it on. I can only stand there. Why would I want to do that?

Quote:Whoah. I hope so. They're kind of uniqueI'd definitely recommend it, I moved here from the Euro servers and it's much more fun to play on a highly populated server. One issue I haven't seen mentioned is a big one: there's a very good possibility that you'll lose your character's names in the process of transferring.
Might be worth checking if your intended monikers are free on Virtue before you shuffle things around.
Thanks for the tip, hadn't thought of that. Still, it's a shame to lose all that work and prestige that went into my supergroup. Anyway to change a SG name? I have one on Virtue already, but I like th eolder name. -
I'm really considering moving my main badgers from Triumph to Virtue. I like how Virtue is busy with people running around all the time. It reminds me of when the game started and you can see awesome costumes all the time and activity.
More than that, I dont' know I'll ever get certain badges on more empty servers. Things like the arachnos flyer and the RV AVs. Am I nuts to want to move or can I get those another way (like on STF or whatver)? -
Quote:Apparently, the nice people staffing the 800 number customer service line are now telling callers that the codes for the enhancements do not exist, and if they were ever advertised on the Gamestop website, it was an error.
When you pick them up, a receipt is supposed to print with the code. That's how I got mine anyway. -
