It's not even Hellions and Council and Outcasts.
The chain smoking, strung-out looking civilian chicks shoving you aside as you try to train at Ms. Liberty are still a foot taller than your 6' hero. What's up with that? -
Rescale the CoH population. I'm tired of making a character who is 5'5" and being dwarfed by civilians. I'm tired of making a character who is 8' tall and looking like a midget next to a group of Council. I made a guy yesterday, huge body type and about seven foot and change and he was barely even to the Hellions he was fighting.
Either cut all the NPCs down by a foot (and Council down by two feet) or rescale the PC height grid so a fully maxed height character is 6'5" or something. 'Cause what it says is eight feet ain't no eight feet in any sane world.
I shouldn't have to take my 8' character and stand next to Penelope Yin to feel 8' tall. -
Really great work. Plus her feet look good! Drawing bare feet always seems to give people trouble
Ditto the comments about classes being a reward course of action for ya. -
That picture is pretty full of win. I always appreciate the skill behind good b/w stuff.

Great pieces and mighty fine of Suichiro to do that.
With all the art commission seeds you planted a while back, every week must feel like Christmas with something new rolling in -
Aside from what I just read, I don't know anything about your personal life or any private trials and tribulations. But you've always seemed like a stand-up guy here and in CoX, friendly and concerned about others. Good luck on the multiple big steps, both school and moving out. Even if you're around less, that's just 'cause you're enriching yourself in other ways. So best wishes and get all smart and learn-ed.

While I doubt it makes any difference, you can let her know that I started doing the "big" TF's with a largely SO/Generic IO Rad/Rad and no one said a peep. I came from Everquest which has raids full of number crunching and clockwork tactics and the idea of going on a CoX TF intimidated me for a long while. Then I started going on them and realized that CoX TFs were about as casual as the rest of the game.
Parroting the others, if she wants to trick out her defender for the fun of it then that's cool. If she thinks she has to, that's kind of a shame. -
Fair enough. I just see a "lot" of it from various people and figured you had some insight. I agree that they have steampunk and time travel in spades.
I personally look to Nemesis for all my steampunk needs -
What's with the Mender thing? Heh... great artwork mind you but since you said you love 'em, I figured I'd ask you. I see people making Mender outfits/characters all the time but the allure of them evades me. Is there some rich and inspired Mender lore that I haven't come across yet?

I suppose one of the benefits to having taken some time off from the game is that I've missed anniversery and event badges. As such, I'll never have them all and so don't feel the desire to try. I'll go for badges that either give special benefits (some Accolades) or ones that mark little milestones in my characters' lives (GMs, various TFs, Masters TFs, etc) or ones that I want just for the name ("Nuclear Powered" for my Rad/Rad) but I don't have to swear at the ski slope for the -nth time because I NEED that badge for my collection.

I'm more curious about the bottle of lime-green liquid ice cream.

Quote:Removing them as a 3D model. If I have a character with red tights over his head (and maybe some eye/mouth holes), he still has goofy fully-modeled red ears poking out of the side of his head. Which makes it look less like tights and more like someone spray painted his head. Can't you just pick the Tights texture for ears and have them match the colour of the mask? Or are you talking about removing the ears as a 3D model?
Maybe this is a common comics thing, I dunno, but it looks silly. Minor gripe from me though since I rarely use that head option but I noticed it the other day. -
Quote:Speaking of ears, why on earth isn't there a "no ears" option for the full tights on the head? I was making a character and realized that if I wanted tights over his head, I'd still have his ears poking through them in all their glory. I could make them elf ears or vampire ears or goofy long imp ears but they had to be earsI know I would go out of my way to keep emo off of me. This reasoning seems sound to my ears.

Looks great! Nice expression on the face.
FYI, received my package yesterday. Thanks! -

Seeing JK reminds me to ask: Do we proletariat have access to the storage binds 'n stuff yet?
I could just try it and see 'cept I'm at work and want answers now! -
Deep inside, I don't really care what you're doing with your time. Assuming you're both consenting adults, go scamper off and have fun frolicking in the green fields of ERP.
On a more shallow note, and heavens forbid I say what I assume many people think, 99.995% of the ERP I've ever had the pleasure of reading (CoX, other MMORPGs, IRC channels, etc) via eavesdropping, posted logs or public displays of affection has been God awful. Terrible, ridiculous purple prose not worthy of those disposable paperback novels they sell at the drugstore. "So and so fumbles with her buttons!" "She gasps excitedly in deep anticipation!", etc. The idea of anyone frantically typing that stuff one-handed cracks me up. So while I don't really care that you're doing it, I can still find it funny. -
Last night I was treated to Ouro with limited edition Disco Floor-Sky

Martial Arts. Ninja run is a great quality of (gaming) life enhancer. You'll get places quicker from level 4 onwards and, if you want, you can forgo getting any additional travel powers and use those couple slots for attacks, buffs, etc. I always hated the "nifty skill drought" between lvls 10-20 because I'd feel obligated to get the Fitness skills for Stamina plus two travel powers.
If you decide later that you want a different travel power you can always take it later on or during a respec.
MA pack has some good costume pieces in it as well. The new robes have multiple applications, the different padded/wrapped hand/foot options are great for all sorts of characters and the new half-helm is one of the best helmet options I've seen due to its shape and customization options. So you're getting a good all-round pack, not just a great travel power. -
Congratulations!
I need to use my third AE slot some day. Of course, slots #1 & #2 have sat unplayed for months so maybe not -

I've no idea how to tell if I'm number 30k or not and now, if I was, I'll never know 'cause I can't figure out how to see my number much less screenshot it.

Quote:I missed the 50 AV group 'cause I was doing a Moonfire last night (enough merits for LotG +7.5%.. woohoo) but welcome to the group and I'm sure I'll see you soonmoving to virtue was a lot of fun. I met some old friends that had quiently moved over earlier and I've been reinspired to play more. Seeing atlas all full of people i started getting character ideas again...IT WAS GREAT! but not in a tony the tiger sort of way.
