Or they could just give you an SG TF like we get on CoV in the form of the silver mantis SF.

    [/ QUOTE ]

The Sisterhood did this TF on the weekend before the double-xp weekend.. It was the most perfect bit of teamwork known with those not actually in the TF still participating by filling up the inspiration storage in the SG base with much-needed catch a breaths, etc..

4.5 hours to do all the missions and kill the boss. The last mission was sooo tough but we had such a great feeling of Sister-Love afterwards!!

Would be great to see more of these missions...
  2. Loving the whole Dom experience. I am playing Violet Jameson, a lvl 24 plant/thorn dom and my usual tactics are as follows:

rush in and chuck Seeds of Confusion (3 x Confuse slotted) with optimal AoE.

when enemies cluster and start bashing each other, then chuck Rooted, thorn burst etc etc to keep them in place and to cause enough damage that the xp isnt wasted.

If any stragglers, then impale, strangle vines, etc keep them in place till the fighters can finish them off.

Superb in a large team with bigger groups.

Hi Golden Girl. Saw you this morning in RV. How did you do?

Problem is, there aren't any proper beds for starters

I don't know about you but ALL my beds at home normally have manacles attached to them!!

  5. It is a great power so don't discount it at all. Slotted mine for 2xAcc, 1xDam, 2xRecharge, 1xImmob. For as long as it lasts, it is a superb extra to your army with self-heals, decent attacks and an awesome hold/immob power.

If I know that a big boss/EB/AV is around the corner, I often send my lich into a small group nearby on passive so I can then raise him as a Wraith, then resummoning (& buffing) him before going to the main fight. Even the spirit raised from zombies has good attacks.

With Hasten and 2xRecharge, I still have had no more than one ghost at a time. But with my full squad of 8, including Fluffy, it makes a lovely sight!!

I have had them on passive/follow (the green man), rather than defensive/follow (the arrow?).

    [/ QUOTE ]

Are these the buttons from simple commands? then I even think the arrow is aggresive/follow. Complete MM newb here tho, so I might very well be wrong. From your advanced pet control you can affect their mode (defensive.passive etc.) without an additional command tho, usually use this myslef on my low lvl MM

    [/ QUOTE ]

I do indeed use the simple commands and this is where I have been going wrong. I will give the advanced controls a blast when I get into PvP land again...

    Memorials?

It would be cool if they added customisable plaques for sg bases. shouldnt be too hard to do either, also Id like customisable signs to be added as well so that i can give rooms names..

    [/ QUOTE ]

...will you be like an estate agent...

"This is the bathroom...this is the bedroom...this is the kitchen..." DUH!!!

    Memorials?

I'm not sure whether this is something you'd like or whether you would just consider it to be cheesy...

...one of our coalition VGs has the initials of their chief characters (I assume) written on the walls of their base by using small Wall Details (small circular grills, I believe)...

...it's not perfect, but it worked!

I must sent up some binds to keep some pets on passive/follow (Bodyguard) easily, whilst then allowing others to do stay as aggressive.

[/ QUOTE ]Bodyguard is Defensive/Follow, not passive.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Do you know something....despite all of my posts, and all of my successes in PvP, I am convinced I haven't been using the bodyguard mode properly as I am certain that I have had them on passive/follow (the green man), rather than defensive/follow (the arrow?). I'm gonna have to have a really good look at this later - curses to work for keeping me here till 5.30!!

Color me interested - Was it a good tactic? Ie. did it work well, him managing to get the kill in 1-on-1. Or were the pets TP:d with you and the bodyguard mode stayed active, keeping you near-invulnerable?

    [/ QUOTE ]

It worked, but it wasnt what I would call a "good tactic"...it was effective, but hardly sporting.

My pets didn't tp with me straight away. A couple of shots from the Hero Heavy took me down before I could pop a break-free and "junior birdman the hell outa there."

And what does it take for some people when I say "you really don't want to attack me..."??? I had a scrapper last night who thought I was an easy target...I warned him...but did he listen??? Noooooo... I let him go once he got down to 25% health in the first 20 secs or so and I was still fine! Jeez, some people!!

Yippee...took down a tanker who decided to pick on me last night too!! This bodyguard function rocks... I can handle the alpha strike and the follow up attacks quite easily and then when the attackers attention shifts or he waits for his attack run to recharge, i let the pets have him!

    [/ QUOTE ]

But yesterday I met one of those superb PvP'ers who think that TP Foe onto a batch of caltrops & traps etc is a really good tactic...
  12. One of my Sisters (See Supergroup name in profile) raised this with me the other day and it does seem to be true...

Do you find that there is one of your henchmen who dies more than any other....wanders off more than any other...and is generally a total numpty at times?

I noticed this peculiar fact and have renamed my 2nd zombie to be a rather disliked blaster we all know and love so that I have the satisfaction of seeing him die (can undead die??) again and again!!

    hehehe

Two Fearsome Stares (Me and my Lich), Dark tentacles (Fluffy) and Soul Tentacles (me), then a full barrage of gloom, zombie vomit (nice) etc usually does the trick!!

(I did get stomped by a team of 3 heroes later though)

Out of interest have you tried to use a heavy againts the turrets whilst keeping your zombies beside you in bodyguard mode with any success.

    [/ QUOTE ]

As I mentioned in the other thread, my necromantic henchmen are on passive whilst the Heavy attacks the turret. I ensure I am standing out of range of the turret myself, even when stealthed using Shadowfall, as this doesnt matter to the guns... furthermore, if I get too close, my dark servant joins in the attack and I all my "Get down, Fluffy" shouts don't work.

I have now realised that I wasnt using the bodyguard function correctly last night and was still surviving the scrappers attacks. When I was patrolling, looking for a fight, my pets were all on aggressive/follow, not passive/follow and so it must have been my shiny PPP armour that was protecting me and not the benefits from the boudyguards. I must sent up some binds to keep some pets on passive/follow (Bodyguard) easily, whilst then allowing others to do stay as aggressive.

Yes I did choose shield. 3 slotted for both defence and endurance and running shadowfall similarly slotted.

I have no damage-causing powers of my own other than brawl and the occasional temp power (Rikti rifle, Void-Hunter rifle, etc etc that are for emergencies only) and because of that, my henchmen are buffed to the max.

I enjoyed the PvP last night and look forward to more nights like that one!

Sadly even the holograms are just a circle of glowing lines with nothing on top, as are the lovely floor plates and glass stands :-( I think I will /bug it tonight because someone else has tried to edit the base and he couldn't get them working either.

Sounds like a bug to me, possible related to graphic card/drivers. /bug it at least.

Have you tried the SG holograms. I set up a lovely hologram to welcome people to the Sisterhood base and we get a lot of good comments about it. A nice big red rotating skull!!
  19. In Bodyguard mode, the pets are set to aggressive/follow, so when an attack is started by one of your pets, the others join in.

If you are attacking the turrets, you need to set all your pets on passive and then send in the Heavy just on its own. During this time, you can be vulnerable to attack from external sources.

Put your bodyguard mode back on when moving around the area or when attacking "normal" foes..

    MMs and PvP

I would just like to say that I am extremely happy with PvP now that we have the new bodyguard function.

I like to spend a lot of time in the PvP zones, previously Warburg and now Recluse's Victory, as they give great returns of prestige and salvage and I work hard to maintain my top spot in the Sisterhood of Hades supergroup.. (unlike one person in particular, but that is another story)

Up until now, I have largely spent my time in the PvP zones when it has been quiet. Hunting in stealth and doing the occasional missions. Last night was my first time actually using the Bodyguard function and I was very very impressed with how well it worked.

I was being hounded by a spiny scrapper whose tactic seemed to be impale from a distance and then close for melee. He could only faceplant me (which he did twice) when I was distracted by attacking Longbow bosses and turrets, but when I was prepared and had my pets ready for him, he would never even get close to killing me once a full barrage of dark melee, fear and zombie puke hit him from my pets.

NO MORE BEING SQUISHY FOR ME!!!

Note to self - take more breakfrees into PvP zones! /em d'oh!!

Daft question but have you tried altering your Supergroup colours? If your colours are, for example, yellow and yellow, you won't see the SG emblem on the banners as they are the same colour.

    Just a thought!

    Energy Transfer

Hmm... I am getting a very subtle feeling that perhaps it is worth taking!!

    Thanks all
  23. Hiya.

All depends on what you want to achieve. I picked a pure EM/EA Brute and love her to bits. I play PvE and PvP in teams or solo and I find the Energy combination to be superb. The ability to stealth as a Brute until you're right up amongst the enemy is a great bonus...

The Basic shields (Kinetic shield, Dampening Field, Power Shield, Entropy Shield and Energy Protection) are fine. I usually run all of these permanently except the Power Shield.

Energy Cloak = Stealth +DEF.. I like this but dont use it all the time.

Energy drain is a fantastic way to gain back all your endurance, thus keeping all that lovely Fury..

Conserve Power...great way to have a large attack chain with minimal endurance cost (great combined with Hasten)

Not seen Overload to comment on...

All-in-all, a great set of armour.

    Energy Transfer

I'm soon to use my freespec on my lvl 33 EM/EA Brute and am wondering whether the Energy Transfer power is worth it. I can see that you sacrifice HP for Damage but how does that work in the combat environment? Is it variable??

    Any help would be appreciated.
