Living Quarters

Does anyone have an idea how to create these? Preferably incorporated into a room already. Obviously, no actual people there, but something that looks 'lived in' would be brilliant.

Problem is, there aren't any proper beds for starters - and you really need doors to close off rooms too, otherwise, they look too open to be living quarters.

Yeah a private quartes and barracks tile set would be really useful, definitely whats missing from our abse at the moment.

It depends on exactly what you want.

Beds are hard - your options are the rustic cot, two examination tables complete with manacles, or a rough straw pallet - at least in the "proper" stuff.

If you're willing to get creative, it's possible (although I've never managed barracks)

there's lots of chairs, and tables with magazines, with careful placement a monitor makes a good flatscreen TV. The furniture is small in the massive rooms they give us, 1 "tile" looks like a smallish room in comparison to the furniture size, so either use a much larger room than you want and add some walls, or use bookcases/blue filing cabinets as dividers to make the rooms smaller.

"Creative" use of some of the pieces is also possible - curved sofa segments round the wrong way make a reasonable pool or bath, you can make a rough double bed out of a couple of chaise-lounges - the placement system isn't great for this, but it is possible.

A military-style barracks however I don't know how to do - I can't think of anything that makes a reasonable bunkbed.

I did ok - took control of a few Heavies, dismissed them in short order, worked towards another badge - the usual stuff

And as for living quarters, we really, really need doors to close off the rooms and corridors.
And we also need smaller sized corridors and rooms - the smallest currently available are still too big and fortress-like.

Thanks for the help, everyone. I'll post some pictures up if I finish them.

Must admit my biggest disapointment during the XMas event last year was the fact we didn't to put a XMas tree in our base. Or even some sort of Christmasy decorations to the walls.
