    Reconsider both Resist Elements and Resist energies. That late in the game they'll do virtually nothing for you, and by then you're tanking on your def rather than your Res anyway. Personally, I wouldn't touch them with a ten-foot bargepole. They help a bit against AV's, but will rarely make a difference between debt and not-debt.

    The difference is between taking 1800 damage and 1650.
    If you're not at full HP you'll die anyway, I'd much rather have Weave and Tough in my build since AVs are only 2% of the game and for everything else, Weave is FAR superior to the passives (that I have skipped altogether) and it helps more than anything else against Psi foes (it's DEF vs anything) that are, even if a minor part of the game, the most annoying thing you can find.
    I'd never ever slot the first attack with more than the default slot, I had it fully slotted and noticed a wooping 40 dmg more (at lvl 50) wich isn't worth 5 slots.
    All of the other attacks are very well worth 6 slots:
    Footstomp is the best AoE for a tanker.
    KO Blow is the daddy, hold + awesome damage + knockup, what else could you want?
    Air Superiority is awesome too, you can knockup anything bar some AVs with it, helping with tanking and survivability.
    Haymaker makes nice damage and fits nicely in the attack chain, I'd pick AS over this, tho.

  16. The resistance from Unstoppable is capped with a single dmg res as you get 85% res to all but Psi, with Unyelding you're well above the cap.

    Tough and Weave are huge improvement in your survivability, it may look like a little number, but with that 7.8% of defense you get FAR more survivability than with that 10% resistance from the passives.

    I'd drop Energy Punch and RPD to pick Boxing and Tough and something else to put Weave in.

    The most important thing to never run out of endurance is to put an end redux in each and every attack, you'll save FAR more end this way than slotting 2-3 end redux in attacks.

    That explains everything then
    To out-taunt someone you have to apply a Taunt duration that's twice as long as the one he applies/applied, so with both CE and Icicles you can easily Taunt them longer than an unlotted Taunt.
    Especially if you were fighting higher lvl foes because the Taunt duration decreases dramatically with the relative level difference and foes ranking (i.e., a +2 boss will stay taunted for like no time with taunt, while with the pulses of CE and Icicles you can easily keep him taunted)

    Since he gave us no info on slotting of his aura and the other tanker's Taunt and level difference between him and the foes you can say 'In this case yes' but you'll never manage to out-taunt an Ice tanker with CE and Taunt properly slotted. Fact.
    Invincibility has a really poor taunt duration so you can easily grab aggro off it, but in no way you should be able to out-taunt someone with taunt, unless he's got poorly slotted taunt (i.e. only the default slot) and you have 3 taunts in CE.

    If ET = Enrgy Transfer, I must say that it deffo costs some endurance, it looks like 10-12, a lot less than Total Focus, but still it has an endurance cost.

    For power reference however I use Dr. Rock AT Comparison to see the most real number possible on defensive powersets.

    Weave gives defense to every element but Toxic, you must have an old hero planner, Weave's defense is also to melee/ranged/AoE and it deffo stacks with every other defense you get from pool or primary/secondary powersets since 4-5 months ago when they changed it.

    Don't even compare it to Maneuvers because maneuvers on tankers gives like 2,5% defense and uses double the end of Weave.

    Another one breaking game mechanics:P the problems with blazing aura are solveable in so many ways but i still dont like it, if its meant to be offensive let it be the only one that autohits for damage and taunt i say.

    I'm not saying you can't hold aggro with it, I've seen many Fire Tankers in action that did it too

    I SO, TOTALLY agree with Shannon here, that'll make a huge difference in the way of playin and slotting a Fire tanker.

    If the problem would be PvP and defense based sets, they can always code it like Taunt that in PvE is auto hit while it requires a tohit check in PvP.

Actually, Blazing Aura is the worst taunt aura since his taunt component comes from damage and against foes with good defense or that can debuff your tohit making it miss it doesn't taunt a thing because it never hits, unlike every other aura that has an autohit effect that taunts the foes (Slow for Mud Pots, Slow + Dmg Debuff for Chilling Embrace and the Tohit and DEF buff for Invincibility)...
