Once you get a character above level 10 it's usually a good idea to keep them and use another character slot... you never know when you might want to come back to them :3
-
I tried to be a plant dom but I really don't find much use for immobilizes other than if I want an enemy to start shooting at me (which is never
) and the hold seemed to take forever to recharge. I'm mind now and I have no intentions of ever coming back XD
Shame though... all I really wanted was the spirit tree :3 -
What about combining invis with grant invis? Then there's a big crowd of invisible deeeeeewm and you can stay near them for the initial alpha strike :3
-
then again, that's probably what sneaky use of goto and the half-decent command range is for; you can go invis and hide somewhere and play your minions like a point a click game. The range of goto isn't amazing but it's enough to make finding you rather tricky :3

Ok I give... does anyone know what the secret rules are about entry portals and getting people who enter stuck inside it?
At first I thought I just had to keep it away being too close to walls but the tempermental lil thing started doing it when I had it about a 3rd of the way across the room with still a rather hefty gap between it and the nearest wall.
I've seen screenies of bases with their portals in corners and they seemed to work fine so I'm really baffled with what I can and can't get away with when it comes to placing the blue swirly...
Anyone have any tips or tricks for dealing with the stupid thing? -
I had that negative prestige bug too; I just logged in and out a few times and the prestige went back to the amount it should've been but it gave me one heck of a scare at first
I must admit I'm a lil worried about the whole 'anyone can place their crafted items anywhere and it'll cost your group prestige to boot'. I mean I trust my lil SG because I wouldn't have SGed with them in the first place if I didn't but I know one or two of them like to fiddle with things from time to time and I hate logging in to find my carefully designed base plans to be blemished by a rather oddly placed piece of kit that wasn't there before... not to mention it cost us cash and if I sell it to get rid of it then I've just cost my poor teammate their salvage ^^; -
I did the rather silly thing of adding 2 slots to my levle 6 upgrade before realising it didn't take any enhancements that were really useful to me ^^;

waii Mister gear!!!

Hmm... that doesn't sound right to me at all, but admittedly it's been a while since I read the descriptions. I was sure that envenom was a resist, defence and hp regen debuff while weaken was only a debuff of dmg, accuracy and secondary effects (knockback, disorient, end drain, holds and immob)
I'll have to have another look ingame at the tooltips but I do find IGN's description rather suspect and after some googling about I've not seen any posts anywhere that seem to agree with it :/ -
on a fun note I think alts count towards your SG prestige bonus
But yeah... I'd like a lil private place I could invite friends over to; I prefer to keep my socialising loose rather than slapping a label on it, giving it a badge and parading it around under the name 'super group'. 'clan', 'guild' or whatever XD
I never did see the whole appeal of making a group of friends sound/look more like a military organisation -
well I'm glad someone finds it useful
Admittedly I hadn't thought to check if it stacked or not, my rather frantic experience involving a stupidly hard cobra, my almost dead team and all of us out of end felt much like it would've if I hadn't been slapping him with weaken; the only reason we survived such dire straits is because we made good use of the terrain to run until we had enough end to kill the beggar XD
It's moments like that I would've thought something like weaken would be more obvious with just the 1 horrible high level thing killing you all but even in more calm situations I didn't really notice the difference :s
I suppose something to try is to find out if it stacks, also slotting the silly thing might've helped; I have a bad tendancy to judge powers in their unslotted state without giving much heed to what they'd be like if I 6 slotted them with a decent mix of enhancers... then again I feel something I had to wait 2 levels for should be rather obvious in effect straight off the bat, especially if it doesn't directly kill things
A friend of mine has envenom and that definitely is noticable. Things seem to go down faster with it.
Perhaps one of the potential weaknesses of 'weaken' is that many of it's effects don't seem to be enhanceable as I'm not really aware of attack-debuff enhancers (just like I can't think of any attack-buff enhancers) or much of the other effects it has besides the accuracy debuff.

I've noticed this for myself in game and while it does have a passing mention in a build thread (one of synergy_x's posts I think) I thought I'd give it a lil more of the spotlight with a dedicated thread of it's own.
While I get the impression that it's sister debuff 'envenom' seems to work, I've yet to really find weaken perform enough to really be noticable. That is... when I used it I felt pretty much the same as when I didn't.
The people I've chatted to ingame about it seem to feel the same so I thought it'd be worthy of space on the board to discuss whether this power really does enough to justify it's existance
Does anyone have any experience of this power actually making a noticable difference in combat that made them feel the power has it's place? Are there more people who feel it was kinda minor verging on pointless?
I keep feeling like I'm just missing something as the description looks snazzy on paper yet when I slap a badguy in the face with it I often feel like it's merely been a waste of time. Not to mention it's rather difficult sometimes to make out the effect that shows the baddy is still being afflicted with the debuffs ^^;
Inquiring minds want to know!!! XD
