i think thats about right since the recharge is slow not very long
I tried it with 3 SOs in beta - it still had a terrible duration (as I expect all Dominator group Holds will have).
2 circumstances I can see it being useful - one:with Domination when duration will be boosted, two:in combination with strangler to quickly Hold a boss.
think that my dom is close to retirement at 19 already..unless some can convince me that plant actually could be a cool set....i soooo miss my current CoH earthset

Yoiu give up some control for damage can you if Dominators where just like controlers but with damage then they would be way over powerd. As it is they might be a bit over powerd as they are. 
What do you need the AoE hold for anyways, you have seeds of confusion?
Oh, and if you want to know if plant control is worth it, just wait 'till you get carrion creepers

Maybe, but you have to balance that against the slots, power and endurance you could use somewheres else.
I currently find vines very useful it may not last long but it recharges pretty quickly and can be used again.
I used it once for battle and its cool 
The i used it, i can use confusion
the recharge time on it really really bad, it takes ages.and then hold a really small amount of time. i am not very convinced by them, the devs need to tweek it.
Seems more powerful than Glacier, but it could be the plant controller has those SO things or something.
Glacier is in the same boat but still taking it, it can make a difference, and it helps you take control for that moment, you dont need to control the fight you need to DOMINATE it........... btw the AoE holds under Domination ROCK, if you build your domination up first you become supreme with them

I tried to be a plant dom but I really don't find much use for immobilizes other than if I want an enemy to start shooting at me (which is never 
) and the hold seemed to take forever to recharge. I'm mind now and I have no intentions of ever coming back XD
Shame though... all I really wanted was the spirit tree :3

I was so looking forward to the tree as well and what a disappointment as far as a power go's , looks pretty though.
At 28 still happy with my decison to go all planty Dominator.
well, if it's any consolation the pretty tree is gonna get a buff soon according to what's being tested in the US servers, so we might get to see more of the serene things sitting about hopefully :3
I find that the hold of vines is just long enough to kill the alpha strike (if you can hit!) thus allowing your entire team to serious cut down in the mob population before they can strike.

the tree is actully quite good now
I for one am glad to hear the impovement to the tree i liked it in Beta.
Like a lot of AT's plant takes a lil getting used to but if well worth the effort. Its not for everyone though I must say, it can be a lil tricky. but I found it capable of solo and teaming well, gonna have a run at PvP altho poor Nimue will have to take a back seat to Anaesthesia for now
Anyone got some experience with Vines from the Plant set?
So far ive got 2 acc's and 1 DO hold in it and i must say that it has to be the crappiest hold ive ever tried!! it holds 1+ minions for about 5-8 seconds!! that cant be right can it?
Of course it will get better when i get some SOs in it but from what ive seen so far im far from impressed...any thoughts?
