  1. Probably Agility - you could use lots more defense unless my Mid's is acting up, or Nerve. I would look at Agility.
  2. Yeah it is probably pretty close as even if SM does more damage, the use of Fault makes one lose DPA even at the expense of superior mitigation, without even looking at AOE vs single target differences.

    Like, really hideous?
...compared to what OS that came out this decade? Which parts do you dislike? If this is about it being different than what you are used to, I can't imagine how you will react when you see what Windows 8 looks like:

    Click Me
  4. Aoe and Acc, not damage. WM does less damage than SM.

    SJ and ...???

Vauluur dislikes how common it is to see WP toons, so take his advice with a grain of salt. Personally I would look at Fiery Aura to add some more AOE damage due to the general lack of it in StJ.
  6. Yep. SM does better DPA and mitigation. WM does better aoe and has higher acc.

...although I would probably prefer CC over Tremor even after you said that, but that's just me.
  7. I prefer having a tray of greens instead of oranges honestly, on top of a tier 4 radial rebirth that is perma. Lev 53 SR/Ice tanker here - haven't tried something like this though.
  8. Totally disagree that Whirling vs Fault goes to Whirling when the discussion has been about mitigation. I also disagree that WM can outdamage SM, when I could have sworn SM has the best single target damage per second. Fault's stun also lasts twice as long as any of WM attacks on top of the kd, as well as having 20 ft range to the target.

...at best, WM is better at AOE and ACC, that's it. Mitigation goes to SM and has very high DPS to single target.

EDIT: If Bill's numbers are still valid, he calced that SM comes in second place behind Fire Melee for DPA. WM comes in 4th. This does not consider newer sets like KM, SJ or TW.
  9. One of the devs wanted to redo the Presence Pool but I forget which - it was in one of the coffee talks, where Synapse said something about wanting to rework Energy Melee.
  10. How does Chilling Embrace work with Stalkers?
  11. I am pretty sure Stone has more mitigation than Axe or Mace.

  14. Ice Control isn't synergistic with itself, so I would start there...
  15. Oh man that's going to be a fun toon. If I didn't already have a high level Stone/Dark I would make one too. Come to think of it, Stone/Elec would work really, really well too.

Yeah this is disappointing but not a surprise.

As a tank, you don't want to be placating things in the first place, and any damage aura you might have would probably break it anyway.

You can put it in Charged Brawl on any character that has it though, including blasters.
SR/Ice tank - no damage aura. How would this work for electric control's patch? Would they only be unable to target the patch since it is a pet?
  19. Some people seem to slot Soul Drain as an attack which might help. The Theft of Essence proc seems to be tailor made for Dark Regeneration in Dark Armor - no really, I can't think of any other power in the game that benefits more from that enhancement than Dark Regen.

...man, Dark/Ice tanks... that sounds crazy - fearing/stunning/falling enemies constantly everywhere.

..but I am thinking the opposite, that the tanker should be WP/TW and that the brute could be something else.
  20. Well, there is always the option of grabbing one of the 5 Interfaces that have a DoT to finish them off.
  21. Alpha helps all powers that are Incarnate except for recharge, so yes, Musculature will make your other abilities do more damage, including Lore pets.
