Yeah, it seems to be a pretty random problem I suppose.
Usually takes me a few tries then I get in. Although, I did a little test when I went to bed. Tried to let the Updater keep trying to connect over night, when I woke up it was at #437, so people will just have to keep trying.

As Kheldarn said, It's a problem only in EU so far.

What you can do, is to bypass the updater and run the executable instead. Now, I don't know if it works, cause I'm not on a windows machine (plus playing via Steam makes it all a little troublesome).

Also, try clear your cache, it sometimes work

So this problem have occured for hours now, and there's no information to get anywhere, from NCsoft.

No details about if they're aware of them problem, no details or information when it's fixed.

I hate to say it, but this has been a huge issue all day, and nothing have been happening. I'm usually not the one being a wrench, but this is terrible service. The least NCsoft could do, was to give us poor europeans some information. Is that really too much to ask?

I'm sitting here with the exact same problem. Now, I do know for a fact, that it isn't a Mac-problem, seeing as people who are using Windows, also got the problem.


However.. CuppaManga's post about to bypass the updater, doesn't seem to excist anymore. All I get when I locate it, is a white browser screen although.

The fact I'm running the game via Steam makes it all a little complicated as well. Any ideas how to bypass the updater when you're running the game via steam? I can't seem to find any executable solution to it anywhere.


Update: Still stuck, been like this for hours now.

I hate to be a wrench, but the least NCsoft could do was to give us some information, if they're aware of the problem and when they think it might be fixed.

Yeah it does seem to have a bit of a problem right now.

Not sure how to bypass it of two reasons:

Running the game through Steam, which makes it all a little more complicated.

And I'm using a Mac.

Can't seem to find any info anywhere, so I'll try here.

As per se, the log-in server seem to be down, and have (as far as I know) been for the past hour. Just stuck at 'Projectinfo'.

Don't know if this affects only the EU or not.

Can anyone confirm that the log-in server actually is down or is it just my end that's messed up.

Now, I tried looking through several Corruptor guides, but none of them really gave me the exact answer.

I used to lay a Rad/Pain Dom Corruptor, which made me fall in love with being a corruptor, so I decided to level up another one. This one is dark/kin.

Now, I seem to have a little problem with the slotting, cause I cannot find an actual guide or any help for such a combo slot wise. Are there anyone who possibly could give me a few hints to what I should primally slot as dark/kin?

At the moment, I'm lvl 26, so I don't have a whole lot of slots available. The enhancements I use so far is damage, end reduce, acc and recharge for my dark abilities (along with a stunned and a hold for my two AoE).

Kin I got more or less control over what to slot as, but still a little in vein which to use to have a smooth run with dark.

Hope someone can give a poor lad a hand

I don't know if it's just me being used to live a rather easy life or if I really do have a point here.
But, am I the only who find it incredible annoying, that when the servers are down, you're being giving the website http://www.cityofheroes.com/servers/index.html to go and check the server status, but the page aren't found?

I find it a little troublesome, cause it's hard to figure out wether there's a server problem, when the server will be up again or if it's your ISP screwing you over. I know now that it is thursday which means maintenance so that's most likely it (although we had that tuesday as well).

Would love if we could be given the information that we're being directed to and not just a "page not found".

Seeing as you play a Defender, I'm guessing you're a hero and not a villain, unless you went through Praetoria as a defender and decided on being a villain in the end.

Our team consist of a various range of "classes". We don't got a healer per se, we got a controller, MM and a corruptor who takes care of the healing, through buffs and pain domination and it works great.
