Never mind. Of course, once I got tired of waiting and made a post, the darned thing woke back up.

I am having the same problem as well. Stuck at "Connecting.. #x" where x increases once in a while.
Sounds like a network outage somewhere. Open Console (Applications > Utilities) and type "traceroute -I coh.com" and see where it stops. Copy/paste the traceroute into a support request at help.ncsoft.com.

I'm sitting here with the exact same problem. Now, I do know for a fact, that it isn't a Mac-problem, seeing as people who are using Windows, also got the problem.
However.. CuppaManga's post about to bypass the updater, doesn't seem to excist anymore. All I get when I locate it, is a white browser screen although.
The fact I'm running the game via Steam makes it all a little complicated as well. Any ideas how to bypass the updater when you're running the game via steam? I can't seem to find any executable solution to it anywhere.
Update: Still stuck, been like this for hours now.
I hate to be a wrench, but the least NCsoft could do was to give us some information, if they're aware of the problem and when they think it might be fixed.
Mine has been doing this since the last software update from Apple.
I open Safari, empty the cache and dscacheutil -flushcache into terminal and everything works fine.

Seems the update server has gone and hanged itself or something. I try to launch and it just fires off attempt after attempt without ever managing to connect.
I tried to bypass the updater, using CuppaManga's instructions, and CoH does launch, and I can log in. Only problem: Once logged in, I get only one server in the list and it's "UNNAMED".
Anyone know what's going on, or if there's anything I can do?
