Thats an example of the new phasing tech, which is rather good I think. It allows the appearance of a zone and contacts to vary based upon the individual or team leader. In this case Longbow have made an attack on the Isles but there are a few missions you can do to push them back and then they will no longer be seen. All very clever

Indeed. For me the best example was the simple inclusion of a temp power for villains. Suddenly the same story works for both sides just because the villain manages to steal a piece Synapses power. Bravo! More of that please.
  4. Having taken it all in now the only thing I don't really like is the bit saying "We Love the Team Up Teleport"

Personally I hate it. Yes it will be better once we can enter missions without having to leave the queue. But I still dislike the way it divorces missions from the game world. That plus its well talked about other problems, makes me wish they'd use it less rather than more.

I see no problem with this. It will be nice if there are in-game ways to earn some alternative weapons but this is the only way to justify the resources imo. The other weapon sets only started out with a small number of options.

And we are back to where I came in. Its seems to me people are acknowledging that the iTrials wouldn't get done without stacked rewards, so its okay to stack the rewards!

That just doesn't seem like good design strategy to me but since I am now repeating myself and the Devs most certainly don't agree I shall bow out of this thread as gracefully as I can

While I agree the Shadow Shard would be a good Incarnate zone I think it works less well as a solo zone. So I am glad and surprised they picked DA for this instead.

I am, but the current "tide" or "feeling" in this thread seemed to be saying that solo incarnate content had to offer less reward than the i-trials otherwise no one would do them. If you disagree that's great.

Actually I think its all about "How you get there."

If you could right-click the pet, get a list of the villain types in the zone, select one and the dog would find one.

To be fair you did say the solo route should "suck" for people that like the iTrial. That aside I can completely agree with this post.

I sort of agree with this sentiment BUT in this case I think they are progressing the story of the zone. If that is the case then I am more than happy with the change.

I'd like the fog kept to be honest, but I have technical issues with it aside from the whole "flying into buildings" thing

I believe content should stand on its own merits. You all seem to accept that the I-Trials are lacking but think that the solution is to drag other aspects of the game down to keep these above water. Which is because you all know in your heart of hearts that the I-Trails are being kept alive by people playing them for the rewards, not for FUN.

I seem to be the only person that thinks thats mad.

At the same time, it should, by design, suck for people who can, will, and enjoy doing iTrials. It should be an alternative and at most an emergency supplement for when iTrials are not forming at all.
That is a truely awful design philosophy. You would design a game that would suck for everyone.
