My Victory server roleplay group VERMIN have a tiny Wikia location that has screenshots, lore, and roleplay information basically spanning about five years that we played that game.

It's been brutal on several of us, especially some of the more fragile emotionally who've become so attached to their characters that it took a serious jump-start to pull them out of their depression.

Yeah, it was that physical. We've tried to gather in other games, with limited success, but it'll be a very long while before the wounds NCSoft inflicted have covered over and scabbed.

Just FYI Dodger has no idea about CoH.


i've been waiting for weeks for the TGS Podcast crew (Totalbiscuit, Dodger, Jesse Cox, and one of their guests from The Game Station's network) to at least even MENTION it, and the only time they did mention CoH was mentioning the Mission Architect system.

Nothing else has been said, before Dodger mentioned it today I didn't even think they knew about it at all.

Just so you know, the 'devs' were laid off the day we were notified that everything is closing.

They're looking for new jobs themselves. Andy Belford even said so on his coffee talk on the 5th.

Let's not kid ourselves here, guys. It's probably going to close, and perhaps osmetim the future (like APB Reloaded) it'll come back...

I don't forgive NCSoft for murdering my dog even if they saved it when it was a puppy a few years earlier.

We have an entire RP group called the VERMIN on Victory.. for about six years we've RPed and now it's all useless.


It's more devastating than the suits in NCSoft know.

Long time CoH vet here, started in 2006 roughly when we formed an RP group on Victory called 'VERMIN'.

We've roleplayed on City of Heroes for over half a decade and it's loss is devestating to our group of roleplayers and friends. I am literally shaking I'm so upset. Six years if In Character history is about to just vanish into thin air.

I was first just upset, but now my sadness has turned to rage. NCSoft is the owner of one of the most hyped video games EVER with Guild Wars 2. They're going to be making money hand over fist.

How dare they take such a cherished and beloved video game and just toss it away because it doesn't make them enough profit?

I doubt I'll be buying another NCSoft game ever, unless they change their minds. Which I doubt.

For the past 5 years a small group of us have been playing on the Victory server, but this past week the server has repeatedly died at random. Mapserver errors, not loading characters for 20+ minutes, etc. We can log into another server fine.

Unfortunately it's been occuring so frequently now, that we're seriously considering our subscriptions to be a waste of time, if we can't properly play the game.

What seems to be the issue? It's happening to six of us, so it's not us, it's the Victory server.

Waited 30 minutes to get Lambda Sector.. 15 ppl! WOOT!... someone said 'reform we got 3 more' and they all leave.... WTF

There needs to be a punishment for ditching.
