this is probably going to be a RP character so I've been adjusting his story a little.

Jason Tobias Alexander was an average college student. He was nothing extraordinary, and he liked it that way.

That all changed one day, Jason was on his way home from a study group when his cell phone rang. It was the hospital, his parents had been killed. They were just 2 of over 30 people killed in a botched bank robbery by a group of thugs from the villain society of Arachnos.

Jason spent the next six months attempting to track down the murderers. After finally discovering the identity of the thieves Jason hunted them down. HE thought he had the drop on them but they had been tipped of that he was coming. They shot Jason and left him for dead.

Jason awoke a few days later in a strange apartment. The hole in his chest had been treated and bandaged and the room smelled of fresh coffee. A older bald man walked out of the kitchen and handed Jason a cup. He introduced himself as a retired hero known as Phantasmia, a little known but very successful telepathic/telekintic. He told Jason that he had been passins by when he heard the shots. He heard Jasons mind screaming in pain but couldn't find the physical body. As it turn out being shot had triggered some Laten mutant abilities in Jason, at the very least he could now render himself invisible.

After hearing Jasons story Phantasmia offered to train Jason so that the men who killed his parents and shot him might be brough to justice. For the next 2 and 1/2 years Jason was trained in various martial arts and mastered the use of daggers. He discovered that not only could he turn invisible but his reflexes and senses had all been dramatically increased.

Finally after 3 years of training Jason was told by Phantasmia that his training was complete and he was ready to fight crime on his own. As Phantasmia uttered last word of encouragement the figure of wisdom Jason had come to respect vanished. Confused Jason left the apartment to Join the heroes of Paragon city in the fight for justice.


well that was a bit more long winded than I intended :P

he is suppose to be a mix of batman and spiderman, 2 of my favorite heroes. so how bad does it sound :/ oh and just so you know Jason never figures out what was up with that phantasmia character....mostly cause I just made that up and don't know what was up with it..yet O.o

I'm really digging the white black combo
it look sufficiently heroic and I can imagine it makes for a really interesting picture

and here is the more modern superhero version. I used stealth without all the small lines and an eye piece I've never seen before called sonic seeing.

thinking about starting out with the modern version and making the first one an alt costume.

Jason Alexander was a sem-normal college student, the semi comes from an unique innate talent he had. Jason had the ability to turn invisible. It was something he didn't use very often. He always knew that he could become a hero, but he lived in paragon city, they didn't need him. He was attending a local college and doing well in school. He was broke like most college student but he didn't really care, life was good. That changed one day when Jason was on his way home from a class. His cellphone rang and when he answered he got the worst news of his life.

Jasons parents had been killed by the well known villain group known as Arachnos, according to the police his parents were at the bank when Arachnos attempted to rob it, Jason's parents were caught in the crossfire and killed. He took the news VERY personally and wanted to take down the group that killed his parents. But he didn't know how, he lived in a city of heroes but didn't know how he could be one. Jason began with the basic, combat training. Spurred on by the though of avengin his parents deaths he quickly moved to the top of the class. His instructor noticed that he had a particular knack for daggers and sent him to a more advanced teacher, along with this he began using his power more frequently. one year later Jason had full mastery over his invisiblity and daggers. After a year of training he was ready to join the fight as <blank :P >

I'll probably end up throwing some tragic in there to make sure he doesn't focus ONLY on revenge (kinda like Peter Parker and uncle Ben, going down the wrong path until something tragic happens to turn him around.)

okay I'm having some trouble coming up with a modern looking stealthy costume that DOESN'T make my hero look evil.

I have all of the boosters packs and wedding packs etc and up to the 21 month vet reward.

The character is going to be a dual-wielder with daggers.

still working on his bio but he is essentially a mutant with invisiblity as his main power, he does have a natural skill with daggers.

His parents were killed by Archnos and he wants to bring them down. He is an everday type guy, he holds down a job he hates till he is out of college. he fights crime in the city because it makes him feel like he is helping people.

I'm gonna copy/paste his bio

A 22 year old ex-EMT and self proclaimed geek. living in a smalltown outside Pittsburgh PA, USA who is tired of the medical field. He had a car wreck a year ago and now is unable to get work on an ambulance, or anything that involves driving, if he wanted to. Currently in his life the only bright side is he is in school for programming computers, something he has always wante to do.

He lives at home and is currently working in a nursing home, a job he hates, in a field he hates. One day after coming home from work after having a day that didn't go so well he sat down and watched tv. a knock came on the door and when he answers, there was nobody there, just a package.

When he opened the package all that was there was a disc. Being bored and curious he put the CD into his computer, against his better judgment, and a program opens up. A large sign flashes on the screen and says,

"WELCOME TO SIMMAN
PLEASE PUT ON ASSOCIATED HEADSET"

He followed the instructions and came to a screen asking him to load Simman. A bright red beam flashes on and the words "Simulation on" flash in red on the screen. There is a white flash and a city appears on his screen. He instantly recognizes the statues and buildings from the news. He moves the character he can only assume is Simman around on the screen, amazed at how well his crappy 4 year old computer is rendering the world. It slowly begin to dawn on him that this might just not be a game, The people are moving in ways no game could render and it almost looks like he looking througha very advanced camera. He played around for a bit before getting tired and logging off.


After he logegd off for the first time a Shadowed figure loaded onto the screen.

"Dear user,
You have been chosen to run the latest edition of Simman, a computer program written in advanced computer code that allows it to interact with the real world via Hard Light Hologram. It has the ability to harden itself giving it a sort of faux-invulnerabilty useful for protecting others. It also has the ability to make itself light as air and fly. It can combine these two abilities and say harden its hands to hit an enemy while hovering. It can also interact with any computer system and download, decode, and translate it in a matter of seconds.

Please be aware that if you choose to accept this responsibilty you accept the dangers that go with it. There are people looking for this program using twisted version of a piece of code stolen from me.

the character is basically a mix of Tron , using the character being controlled by a user. Arnold Rimmer from red dwarf, being a hard light hologram. He is also slightly based on vision, even though he is a hardlight program he can change his density. He can also interact witn any computer system.

Through the use of Simman, the character eventually comes to have a greater feeling of self worth and renewed respect for humanity.

He goes onto become a programmer and and is eventually recruited to help create the next generation fo Simman, thus becoming the next Programmer.

I like the depth of the character, he is worth more than he believes, but he is not depressed, just not as happy as he could be, he has a natural charsima and is cute, but has no social life because of low self-esteem (even when people tell him nice things he tends to shrug it off as them being nice)

The biggest problem I have with this character is I can't seem to figure out how to put that element of danger in the story. There is no real problem when you don't have to worry about getting hurt because your thousands of miles away behind a computer.

I'm going for something of a mix between modern and classic. my current costume looks like statesman, and I like it but I'm already tired of the LULZ STAZMUN :P

right now he is bouncing between science (meteorite strike or explosion) and Mutant

I'm trying to come up with a decent modern costume, but designing costumes is not my strongest point.

Well the character I am going for is a paranormal investigaor (not really ghosts, maybe something LIKE ghosts) he wears the typical black trenchcoat, sunglasses, etc

He actually does have a power, he has been chosen by Sir Lancelots sword and shield, He was chosen because of his potential as a hero.

Invulnerable, he usually does this by only increasing the mass of certain part of his body at a
time.**

Super Strength: Justin ability allows him to change the center of the mass of an object and in efect
change the mass. This alows him to lift thing many times his own wieght with no ill effect to the
object or it's sorroundings

Flight:Justins flight his achieved by lowering his own mass and increasing the mass of the air
with which he is in contact. flight is then achieved by pushing ambient "heavy" air about him.
This ability does not restrict him to places withand atmosphere. Since space is not a perfect
vaccum, Justin can accelerate by "pushing" himself of dust and gas.

Super Speed: Justin high acceleration comes from lower his own mass to an arbitrarily small
amount.

ENHANCED SENSES

Super Hearing:Justins increased sensitivity is created increasing or decreasing the wieght of
various components of his hear without altering his hearing mechanism. His increased frequency
range is created by creating tempature or density gradients in the air, or withing the componenet
of his ear, shifting sounds into his audible range.

Super Sight:Justin is able to alter the absorb/emission spectrum of molecules or atoms, using this
ability Justin can then use shift the band of frequecy his eye are senitive to.

HISTORY

both normal humans. Justin was a very normal child, he went to school and played like an other
kids his age. He sat at the window everyday and watched the heroes fly by. His parents instilled
him with very strong morals.

Everything changed when Justin was sixteen, His father was picking him up from school, Justin was
Just learning to drive. His father let him drive on the way home. The drive was going Smoothly until
a patch of ice suddenly appeared in front of the car and Justin lost control. The car slammed into a
brick wall. All Justin remembers is waking up and knocking the door off it's hinges and pulling his
father to safety. The paramedics got on scene and took Justins dad to the hospital.

Justin sat on the curb for a moment before calling his mother. The shock started to wear off
while he was talking to his mom. about halfway through the conversation Justin realized he was
completely unhurt, not a scratch. He remembered knocking off the door.

Months past and Justins father was back on his feet. Justin had ben elated since he discovered his
unique abilities. Justins parents had been making plans for him to attend a local school for gifted kids.
The Paragon institute for Metahumans, called P.I.M for short, was sending out an evaluator speak
to Justin. The conversation didn't last long. The evaluator told Justins parents that he was more than
qualified to attend the school.

(OOC: skips ahead six year, school years will be handled in a seperate story)

Six years later and Justin is Just graduating from P.I.M. He was more than ready to being his career,
but first he had to have a costume made for the ceremony. While not required it was considered
tradition. Justin though long and hard about what he wanted his costume to be. After a couple weeks
he had designed a costume based on Statesman, his idol, The colour and symbol were the same
but justins was simpler. After graduation Justin was pulled aside by his combat instructor and told
that he had was very proud of him but that he needs to find a group to succeed in his career.

(Story picks up here with whatever group he joins)

the only thing I was really thinking about changing was how his powers work, I like the "superman theory" but I was also thinking of going with something that allows him to survive in space and not require food/drink and live an extremely long time.

decided to just focus on naming this one

so far I have available on Virtue (decided to role him as a RP character)
Star Siege- I like this name, the only thing is it sounds really aggresive.

Sentinel Star- This is a really good name and I've got it reserved ATM in case I decide to use it.

I'm still kind searching around a bit but mostly I'm trying to find names that are Vaguely patriotic (using words like star is a great way cause people think of the flag) and words that imply defensive abilities, Sentry, Sentinel, Guard, Guardian, etc.

I'm interested in RPing something likie fringe/xfile/warehouse etc.

I've really gotten into these shows lately where the character are unting for something mystical/extraordinary or a mix of both

I was wondering if there were any RP groups like that, if you have one you can PM with whats your groups about or post it here...ty

EDIT: ack after a couple cups of coffe I realize that sounded mean :P.....thanks for your help everyone. I think I'm gonna settle on Roving Mask for now until inspiration hits.

BUT I need some help changing his costume to fit his name a little better now.
the blue/black just doesn't seem to fit as well

for the second one I'm leaning more toward having him look patriotic but have his name be only vaguley patriotic sound (likes statesman isn't actualyl patriotic it just sounds like it)...if that makes any sense at all :P
