Quote:Nice design.I found the pinstripe pattern located under "bottoms" as a "pattern".
It took me a while to come up with an original character I really liked using some of the Steampunk booster. I think I'm finally satisfied.
Allow me to introduce Dawn Valentine,
I took Hercules' post to mean the new pinstripe pattern that comes with the Steampunk pack. That's the one I can't find. -
From my email: Definitely a different definition of "recent" than I use....

The ounly douwnside sou far has been peouple putting Us after their Os in wourds. I'm toutally starting tou get the hang ouf it nouw, though.

Quote:Doesn't wet fur bug you?I'm not a developer, but as a member of the Community Team and thus also having to give out vague answers, (you're all familiar with Soon™) I try to give leeway wherever I can, including matters unrelated to the game. Allowing for a little wiggle room is important in some cases--maybe I won't make it to the water slides at 11 a.m. Maybe I'll be there "Around noon," which gives some forward and backward space. From there I can narrow it down the closer I get to the water park.

Editorial is so weak these days. That's why we get crap like this and the Neal Adams looney tunes Batman.

I'm not trying to argue it, the studios said it. That was their first line item when they started rolling out 3D movies. Second was the "enhanced experience for the audience." Show second, business first.
-
Actually, it's about combating piracy. Take your glasses off when watching s 3D movie -- there's no way anyone could record that and pass it off as even a marginally-watchable pirate copy. Stealing the source material does you no good, either, until home 3D becomes prevalent.

Quote:Is he still around and willing to put on a show for onlookers? I just want to see it happen.Heh. People refer to Munitions Mastery often enough to turn it into an acronym? >.>
Yes, /Mental Blasters have soloed GMs before. I'm pretty sure Silverado chalked that up among his numerous GM soloing adventures quite some time back. I think it was pre-BotZ nerf days.
Enhanceable -Regen for the win. -
Quote:You clearly have more money than I do... across all my characters. Which is fine, I'm just noting that aspect of it.this weekend i solo'd ghost of scrapyard and caleb on my cold/dark defender. he has all Very rare(tier 4) except for interface and judgement.
My lore is the seers all offensive t4, interface is the 75% damage proc t3, cryonic judgement t3 with the damage proc, spiritual t4, and clarion perma t4.
Im not even fully IOd on my pve build and it was pretty simple to do. with benumb basically perma and the buffs from heatloss and clarion basically perma it all comes to wether or not the gm will sit relatively still long enough for you to kill them. i think both fights took about 8 mins since i had to summon my mace mastery pet twice and it is perma.
What server is your character on? Can I come watch you do that? -
It's hard to credit a video, since anything can be faked. I just want to be able to do it myself with a Blaster or Scrapper. In the meantime, I'd like to go watch someone do it.

Quote:Yes, that was Cole's first origin story. When CoV came out 18 months later, they retconned Statesman and Lord Recluse as drinking buddies and co-adventurers who discovered Pandora's Box. Opening it let all that power into the world, creating the new era of demigods we call superheroes. Drinking from the Well of Furies was in there somewhere, too, but it wasn't the source of all power.Statesman didn't originally get his powers from the Well of Furies and become an incarnate.
His original story was that after the war (WW1) he travelled the world and in some generic mystical place learned to harness his inner will which gave him his powers. Or that's it as best I can remember. Although looking at the wiki entry for him it looks like they tried to incorporate that origin into the new one as well.
In the beginning of the game, it seemed like they were going to go with "multiple sources of power" with all the talk of ancient African deities and such, but that got abandoned. Now they're trying to shoehorn everything into the Well of Furies nonsense, even to the point of making the Well not an actual water well but some vague "locus of power." Which talks. Or something.
That really is an excellent example of a retcon that's gone too far. -
As I mentioned upthread, they had put a lot of interesting and cool elements in place designed to carry a television series for years, so it's impossible for one movie to sum all that up. Notice, however, that there was a brief shot of the Blue Hand Men eavesdropping on the Alliance -- Joss hedging his bets that a sequel could be made, with big bads still out there. It's a shame the movie didn't do well enough to warrant a sequel, because if any film deserved to make $300 million, it was Serenity.

Huh, so it really is widespread theatre management incompetence. As I said a few weeks ago about the Thor issue, I would not have put my money there.

The problem with WW's costume is that it is -- if possible -- one of the most ludicrous of the superhero outfits. And the character herself demands that the actress really needs to look like she can take someone down in a fight, which doesn't mean a full-on Ms. Fitness Pageant type of body, just someone with muscular definition. Jessica Biel or Michelle Rodriguez look like that. These stick figure girls with "starlet wasting disease" just aren't believable as action stars, nevermind superheroes. The young woman they got to portray Lara Croft a couple years ago... whose name escapes me... Googling... ah, Alison Carroll has the kind of body one needs to play Wonder Woman. She's beautiful, and she looks like she could actually hold her own. A few weeks weight training and she'd completely look the part.

Never heard it called /MM before. Everyone I know calls it /Mental or /Men. Mostly because Munitions Mastery has long been referred to as /MM and Masterminds are called MMs.

Quote:That's an interesting twist, worthy of a complicated comic book plot!I think an interesting alternate would be one that started like Praetoria, but where Stefan Richter also manages to drink from the Well and survives Marcus Cole's preemptive attack on him.
We'd still see Cole as Tyrant, but now Richter (Tarantula works, I suppose) would provide an equally imposing force, most likely promoting liberty and individuality to oppose Cole's oppressive uniformity. It would be curious to see as to what side the Praetors would fall; I'd expect that Dominatrix would side with Tarantula just to tick her granddad off, and we know that Anti-Matter would follow her. I'd also have Nightstar keep her original, more humanoid form and join Tarantula out of hatred and jealousy/envy of Siege (maybe even a robotic lovers' quarrel). Chimera would also be almost a sure thing, as would Belladonna. To make things really nuts, keep Shalice and Aurora share a body but fight for control; when dominant, Shalice would support Cole, but Aurora would support Richter, resulting in neither of them being trusted fully and making an unstable time bomb that much more unstable.
Quote:It would be worth noting that just because he promotes individual liberty, Tarantula still might not be any more of a "good guy" than Tyrant. Or maybe he'd be a paragon of compassion and chivalry. Lots of ways to have fun with this.

Quote:Do you have access to powersets that no one else does? What the hell is an "/MM blaster"?As for your wish for your blaster, I don't know what type of blaster you're running, or what kind of build you have. Or if you're doing this with no temps/insps or not. But it's certainly more than possible to "punch a GM in the face and not die instantly". /MM blasters have been able to solo GMs for a looong time now. And yes, before incarnate powers came around either. And if you have a decent defence based build, you can do it with no temps/insps either.
I'd love to watch you take on a GM without pets. Can we arrange a time so I can watch you do it? -
Apparently we can't put the pin striped pants on females. Seems like an odd oversight, since that's a staple of women's clothing for steampunk roleplayers. That should be relatively easy to port over, yes?

Quote:I had to monkey with the sliders a little bit, as I recall.OK, this one I REALLY like! I love how the goggles match the Valkyrie face plate almost exactly. The round eyes in round slits give this one a sort of otherworldly, inhuman aspect as they express no emotion whatsoever, unlike some of the other helmets with a little more... Attitude
Thanks, this gives me an idea
