To me, "broke college student who fights crime" lends itself to more normal streetwear that he's trying to pass off as a uniform. In our world that would mean a trenchcoat, but in Paragon City I'd put him in the motorcycle jacket.

I've received some positive feedback on the custom enemies in my arc, so I thought I'd jump in with them, as well. You may recognize the inspiration for some of them.
Custom Group: Weaponized Toys
The Toy Box
Arc # 132772
The concept is that apparently villains dressed as toys are committing crimes... but then there's a bit of a twist.
There are more custom bosses than these, but this group of 10 screenshots gives a pretty decent sample. (I probably shouldn't have used my tallest character to get the screenshots, but he's a Tank and therefore able to just stand there and take punishment without concern as I get the best shot.)

Some of those aren't too bad. They actually look a lot like cartoon superheroes.

Quote:That was awesome. This would be his letter in the time capsule:
Hi Mama,
Everyone is urging me to write a letter for the time capsule. I dont have a wife or kids, not even a girlfriend. Most of my friends and associates have perished in this war, so youre all Ive got! I remember when I was young, and thought that my powers could be used for something grand. I thought being an everyday hero was that purpose, and now I have to save the entire world (I hope youve forgiven dad for what he did to make me this way, I know I have). Apparently my magical psychic abilities will be greatly needed. Thats what Hero 1 has insisted anyway. I dont want to go over the plan in this letter thats all we ever do is go over the plan. The plan gives me a headache. Ive spent my whole life in the future, all I want to do right now is reflect on the past.
Remember when I was little, and I thought it was birds telling me what thoughts were inside other peoples heads? I was your little Auspex. You laughed so hard when I registered that as my superhero ID. No one on Omega team gets it. Statesman did, but of course he didnt laugh. I keep thinking of what I can leave behind, and that name is it. I un-registered so another hero can take up the mantle.
This whole thing is like when you got cancer in 99. Everything seemed so hopeless, but we all fought on. Thats what Im going to do now, fight. Things havent been the same since you died, Mama. I want to succeed where the radiation and bone marrow transplant failed. I want to kill this cancer so the world can be beautiful again. If I can save it, maybe I can forgive myself for not being able to save you.
See you soon,
Gabe -

This gets posted every few months, but you really do forgot how painful it is over time.

It'd be cool to see some sort of story to go along with the artwork, like Gray Huntress following some sort of international conspiracy across the planet, a la James Bond/Indiana Jones/Lara Croft, etc. I have characters from every region of the globe, so I think I'll add some here later when I get some time.

My Christmas Blaster, Yuletide Carol, looking spiffy:

Some funny characters I saw tonight on triumph:
And I thought this was a pretty cool costume:

Call me crazy, but I like a little humor in my jokes.

"Are all the villains dead?" --> "Can't tell, too much fire." --> "Add more fire."
"Is everything on fire?" --> "Can't tell, too much fire." --> "Add more fire."
Ah-HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA *schnork* *gasp* HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! -

Played through this just now, it's pretty good.
A couple of typos found: "discrete" instead of "discreet" (first one is a math term, the other means prudent); "alright" instead of "all right." Although people use alright quite a bit, it's technically incorrect. On the bulletin board in the 4th mission, one of the heroes mentioned is "Stars and Strips" -- based on the other names, I suspect this should be "Stripes." (Unless of course it's a heroine who started as a "hotel girl" in Pearl Harbor.) Sherman's "lost" message says, "Your are" instead of "You are."
I like Sherman's punny name, as well as the twist. I really liked the design and names of the custom group in the final mission. Nice use of the 5th Column weltanshauung. -

I have created a number of characters who have relationships. If I thought about it too much, my brain might explode. I ought to do a flow chart at some point.

Unusually-shaped weapons are always good for variety.
The Space: 1999 stun gun, for example:
-
I'd prefer the furry options to be added for free rather than a booster, but either way I'd like them added.
I know the whole "furry" thing gets much derision because of the rather out-there subculture that practices it in a hardcore fashion, but there are plenty of animalistic superheroes to draw inspiration from. On the one hand you've got comic characters like Mighty Mouse, Howard the Duck, Underdog and Bucky O'Hare -- with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Thundercats and Usagi Yojimbo sort of in the middle -- while on the other you have characters like Sasquatch, Wendigo, The Lizard, Killer Croc and Wolfsbane.
Over the years I've built up a whole cadre of anthropomorphic characters, some serious and some not. So I'd like more options, too. -
-
For truly strong characters, I tend to go with plain streetclothes. To me that says they don't need any fancy threads because they're too tough to need armor... and too manly to think about designing an outfit.

Quote:Toxic Shot.TOTALLY trying to get away from the trench coat look,no trench, hat, combat boots, sunglasses. Not too big on cowboys, used to live in TX and I had enough of that crotch scratchin, bull ridin, macho garbage.
I know I want to go with the dp/rad w/toxic shells, patron depends on the build ie;if it's end heavy going with Mu.You get the idea.
Actually the point of me posting this is I want to see others ideas,I get a kick out of people's toons/bio's/themes and sometimes people have a different way of looking at things than I do.Perhaps something can be used or it may lead me into the right direction.I am my own worst enemy when it comes to toons,I get an idea and build it then get tired of it because it doesn't feel right.(I know sorta weird)
The thing that is screwin me up is that I can't get the usual suspects out of my head ie;Matrix,Trigun, etc. It's like I have a block when I think about a DP toon.Meh..stoopid brain... -

Maybe he means in game time. Every day lasts - what? - 15 minutes or something. Maybe it has been more than a year in Paragon City since I15.

Quote:Oh come on, that isn't even hard.I like coming up with my own names, but I'm sort of curious. I'm jumping on the whole ninja bandwagon and rolling an Electric, Fire, or Stone Melee Ninja-themed Brute. So, something that would fit either of those elements that isn't punny. This will be on Virtue too, so good luck.
Iwa is Japanese for rock. So go with Iwa Ninja, Iwa Blade, Iwa Knife, Dark Iwa... I'm on Virtue right now and those are available.
Denki is Japanese for electricity. "Den" is the prefix for "electric." Kobushi means both samurai warrior and fist, so "Kobushi Dendou" means either "Electric Samurai" or "Electric Fist." Maybe the words go the other way, I don't really recall. Maybe you could, you know, look that info up.
Dageki means strike/blow/damage... so "Denki Dageki" means "Electricity Strike."
Denkou or Raikou both mean lightning, and they sound like cool words. I didn't check those, but you can look for yourself.
