  1. The purpose of the streakbreaker is to prevent the annoyance of a long string of misses. Since the game AI doesn't get annoyed (as far as I know), it doesn't get a streakbreaker - only the players do.
  2. Okay, that's weird. I did both of those things last night and it worked fine every time. Are you using a keyboard/mouse that use a special driver?

    . . . .
It didn't happen often, maybe 1-5% of the times, but it was enough to catch my attention.
hmm..... My thought is that attacking is suppressing the stealth IO. While Confuse does have special conditions (it doesn't aggro), perhaps the stealth IO isn't 'smart enough' and simply registers it as an attack.

As for the some of the time situation, it may simply be variations in your exact distance to the target.

Given that forum visitors are not representative of the average player, would anyone care to speculate whether this would skew the numbers up or down? Offhand, I can't think of any reasons why forumgoers would be more or less likely to be hidden.

Well, anyway, here's what I ended up with:

    sysrq "screenshot"
    ctrl+sysrq "screenshotui 1$$screenshot$$screenshotui 0"

This way, the PrtScr button will take a regular screenshot. Holding Ctrl will have it turn on the UI, take the screenshot, then turn off the UI. I went with this roundabout method because I'm sure at some point I'll forget about the second bind and turn the UI on manually for a screenshot.

If you use Alt+SysRq, the game simply ignores the Alt key.
  6. I say "maybe" because the Eden Trial is still broken. Being able to run the trial is contingent on someone bringing a character in the level range (39-41). If a team does not have someone in the level range, they simply can not start the trial. Since we end up with two teams every week, we'll need two people who are in the 39-41 level range. When you sign up, please indicate whether you can bring someone in the right level range.

The Eden Trial has a minimum team size of four and the contact is in..... Eden! Imagine that. FYI, the base teleporter drops you right next to the contact.

If we can't get two people in the right level range, we'll do the 2nd Respec Trial, which is level 34+.

    1. Ironblade - toon will depend on which trial
    2. Gillian Boardman - a tank or dark/dark def in the level range! woo hoo!
    3. Taxi Glowstick - rad/rad def if she can get to 39
    4. Flux Overlord - scrapper
    5. Agoniste - fire/rad controller
    6. Simian Stalker - toon to be decided

I'm quite skeptical of that being the reason. I think they simply broke.

You say that as if it's a reason to delete the dark armor tank. I see it as a reason to keep the other tank. I'm working my way through every armor set. I have a dark/dark tank at 50 and I think it's a great set. It took a bit of work with IOs to get him where I wanted (running 10 toggles needs some endurance assistance) but I'm very happy with the results.

  10. Well, ParagonWiki says:

The souvenir system has been in game since City of Heroes first came out, but it has always been one of the game's half unfinished sections. The images of each souvenir were never added and still have only the placeholder question mark image, and several bugs involving Task Force souvenirs lead to them being removed from the game as a whole, preventing anyone from receiving them.

As of Issue 11, many of the hero side Task Force souvenirs have been reinstated, while those TFs made during the missing period lacking in them.
Apparently, the souvenir system is wonky in a major way.

Oh, while on this subject, can anyone explain why:
    This command works: /bind Ctrl+SysRq "screenshotui 1$$screenshot"
This one does not: /bind Alt+SysRq "screenshotui 1$$screenshot"

Why can't you chord Alt with the SysRq button? Alt seems to work fine with every other key I tried. The left and right Alt buttons are treated differently by the game, but either works just fine with other keys. But neither will work with SysRq.
  12. Yes on the Lady Grey TF souvenir. It has a very uninspired (but easily recognizable name).

For task forces / strike forces / trials, see this page on ParagonWiki.com

Sorry it took so long for a reply but I'm generally not logged in to CoH (or even at my gaming computer) when I'm reading the forums.

My thought (an unlikely one, that did actually turn out to be helpful in one case): when you have lag that occurs with no apparent connection to what you are doing when it happens: time it. Literally. Time how long it lasts and how long until it happens again. Everyone so often, we get someone with lag occurring regularly at identical time intervals. So it's one more thing to check.

Yep, yep. I've been noticing this with my base. It's a relatively large base and I have a pretty good feel for how long it should take to load. It's been taking longer lately, but only if I'm the first/only person going in. If someone is already in there, no problem.

    3. The programming in the CoH.exe has a flaw in it.
    4. Some rarely occurring combination of software and system configuration is causing the problem. That's why it happens only to a very small number of people.
    Fixed that for you.
The problem here is that since it's not affecting a large number of people, it's hard to track down the exact problem. It may well be a programming error in CoH, but without detailed information from multiple people being affected, it's very hard to track down.

Well, when are you normally logged on? There's no rule that RWZ raids can only happen on Sunday. Get the word out, get it posted in the MotD on a relevant global channel and bam! good raid turn-out.
  20. Cool! We're up to 8 so far and, with a minimum team size of four, we can have two teams if needed.

    What kind of defender?

BTW, what server are you on? If you're on Infinity, I'll do it with you. I've soloed him on a scrapper, 2 tanks, 1 controller and 2 defenders. I don't routinely solo on most of these toons, but Nosferatu is one of the most challenging enemies in the game so I was doing the arc on a lot of my toons to see if I could.

This works on any other zone that doesn't have a beacon as well, including the Sewers, Abandoned Sewers, The Tunnels in the Hollows, PvP and Hami zones.
Interestingly, something like this also works in other zones. I have a marketeering character who lives in the Wentworths in Steel Canyon. When I need to drop something in the base, I use my base teleporter. When I exit the base, I return to the exact spot in Wentworths that I left from. There may be something handled differently for the base teleport power.

    Also:
    1) Since it's by team, if you get one solo, then join a team, you can get another.
    2) The check for a valid click used to only occur when you first click. If you can SYNCHRONIZE multiple people, and click multiple bombs before the clickie progress bar completes, you can get multiple bomb credits on one team. I'm not sure if this still works as I have not tried it in a long time, but it used to.
