  2. I'm thinking it'll go to OB tomorrow rather than today, since a lot of their releases happened on Tuesdays, GR Pre-thingy as the most recent example. Though OB isn't really a release... Making my logic flawed... yet still plausible.

    But hey I wouldn't be angry if the Devs proved me wrong and open it today... ;P

  4. I have to agree, the support lately has been rather bad. I got my response to a bugged KHTF, somewhere around a day later, when they told me they couldn't help me since I had for some reason logged off. Not 6 hours after the bugged KHTF.


    Then a few hours after that KHTF, a Hami raid began forming, the best part about that raid though, was that while starting the assault on the first bloom, we were hit by massive and repeating DCs not even allowing us to fail. These DCs hit about the same time the Global/Mission problems began, so either the Hami raid broke the game, or it was affected by the problem.

    These Mission/Global problem are actually affecting a good number of people, so I hope this will be fixed soon.

  7. Nah I've looked for things Ice epic might be good for on a kin, over my playtime, just as a fun little personal challenge, and while enough people have been helpful enough to tell me it's crap and I'm wasting my time, I've still had my fun.

    And a 54 boss farm seemed the only possible option so far...SO yeah it was for lulz ^^

  8. Yeah I have 3, 2 slotted one for the lulz.

    And the last part of my previous post, was phrased quite poorly I'm afraid, the part about Ice working was more a theory, some of those 54 boss farms are slow enough to make Ice Storm seem viable. And the 3rd f/k I mentioned that is for the lulz, has PFM, it's on my 3rd account that I'm getting rid of, so I figured what the hey. And yes it sucks, but it's funny to get teams raging about it. I was also incorrect, about the "Ice is not the worst".

  9. Perhaps I do have a different definition of "GOOD Fire/Kin", however the play style works for me so I was giving some advice, unfortunately I gave the same advice in about 5 threads and got very similar answers so I guess I'm a anomaly. (And an idiot, some of you are probably thinking).

  10. Oh I don't Dispute that in the least, while my fire and psi epic kins can both do 52 Bosses, no higher levels though, it is slow at times.

    Even on 8 man BM stone proved to be faster due to Seismic Smash.

    But hey, it's a game why do it the hard way if the easy way works just as well (:

  12. I really does help to know what your talking about... Thanks for pointing that out.

    As to my slotting, why make an extra kin for say TFs or other environments when you could spend a little more on your farming fire/kin and use him for those as well. And before you criticize me for not following the help request to the word, I was trying to help make a good kin. So yeah while your farming those big AE mobs and sometimes BM mobs you may be getting nice FS buffs, tfs are a little different. (Yes I realize Stone's better for AVs and bosses with seismic) I was giving personal advice, from my experience on a GOOD Kin, not just an affordable farming Kin.

    And I didn't say you were trying to convince me. (:

    No I'm not clamoring for things that fire does better now because my info was incorrect. I just really think stone is not as good as fire. and refuse to take it.

    Okay, so Hiber's out for 2 slotted veng with adjusted targeting for the 2% buff...

    My question would be do I need all that kb protection since I have 10000 kb resist or am I okay ? Because if I don't need the KB procs, it would free up quite a few slots..
  15. Alright, then Earth isn't overrated. But I've seen Fire/Kins taking Fly lately for the AE, so pardon me if I don't take current F/K builds too seriously.
  16. LoL I don't know much about farming....

    Both the Psi and fire slotting I suggested here are
    VERY Viable in say 8 man BM runs or in Psis case also in Freaks, fire tends to not do as well...

    They also work quite well in the AE. I've been using both of them since I11, and quite honestly could care less about the Farming FotM due to the AE. And the fact still remains that no matter what the dam with FS is, Fissure still has a small AoE

  17. Being in a Top SG means nothing. I mean look at OMEGA FORCEs roster.....

    But yes drop Stone Mastery, and Smoke.

    The only times you'd need Smoke or Cinders are if you run into a double mob, once you get a hang of your build you won't need them even then.

    Fire Epic would be your safest bet. Or Psi. Stone's just fotm atm due to it's better survivability on 52+ Boss farms.
  18. I agree with Soul, Earth is currently overrated. But I don't agree with the analogy on Psi while the animation time is pretty long with Psionic tornado, it can still be effective.

    Fire is your best bet though...
  19. Fire and Psi are both a little squishier than Stone, but They farm faster, while I can agree that Psionic Tornado has a long activation time, it's solid. Fire on the other hand is fast. I can solo 52 bosses with both my Psi and Fire epic Fire/kins.


    I have also tried every epic for my f/k. And Ice isn't the worst, it can work very well when on a team for 54 bosses. Whereas PFM is kind of weak in any situation even though it's funny to raise some eyebrows...
  20. What Epic are you specing out of ?

    Cause if it's Fire or Psi don't.

    Psi is technically the best but Fire is definitely no slouch. Psi has better survivability than fire but it has DoT on Psionic Tornado, whereas Fireball is one hit damage with good recharge. So it's actually a toss up, but stone has nothing, but a higher survivability, since Fissure has such a small AoE.

    So when you compare it's really not worth it.

    If you take fire

    Level 41: 6 slot fire blast with Decimations not the proc, and a nuc.
    Level 44: 6 slot Fire shield with 5 titaniums and either an Aegis proc, Impervioum Armor psi proc or the impervious skin 7.5% status resist proc.
    Level 47: 6 slot fireball woth 5 rags or posis, and a nuc.


    If you take psi

    Level 41: 6 slot mental blast with 5 decimations and a nuc
    Level 44: 6 slot MoB with 5 Titaniums and one of the aformentioned procs
    Level 47: 6 slot Psionic Tornado with 5 Rags or 5 posis and a Nuc
    Level 49: 2 slot ID with 2 Generic Recharge IOs

    If you desperately want stone

    Level 41: 6 Slot Fissure with 5 rags or 5 posis and a nuc.
    Level 44: 6 slot seismic with either 5 hecas or 5 makos and a nuc.
    Level 47: 6 slot Rock Armor with a 7.5% recharge and 5 red fortunes
    Level 49: 2 slot Earths Embrace with either 2 impervium armors 2 miracles or 2 harmonized healings for the recov boost.

    Alternatively if you can't or don't want to afford the 7.5 in Rock Armor, you can 5 slot it and 3 slot Earths Embrace.

    Just as a general note to your build make sure to get the fighting, fitness, speed and leaping pools. Also uncrafted Recipes you buy from WWs are cheaper than the crafted ones. Hope this helps.

    A possible attack chain I thought of are:

    BU+ AS (+Havoc Punch) + Thunder Strike (+Havoc Punch) and then Spirit Shark while running away to finish off if needed. Obviously Phase and Hiber are the Oh S*** buttons in case the chain goes bad.... I have enough KB prot to counter Power thrust though...
