This thread is so much win.
I have finally silenced that overall hum in my base. Heaven!
Now to track down the hum that comes from the crystal in Azuria's room in City Hall... It's not *as* bad as it used to be, permeating the entire City Hall, but it's still a headache inducing sound.
Thanks very much for the updated list, Tylerst.

I take it you haven't done much Praetorian (GR) content?

lol
you've kept the meter quite nicely...

Another one off the list,
aaaaannnd another one down, another one down,
Another one off the list!

Updated the list to account for the new TPers and broken beacon fixes.
Dunno, if folks have noticed, but I've been re-coloring the text on items that have been addressed along with a little note as to when.
I do recall that sometime back (i19? 20?), there was an effort to address these points:
- Game Client can shutdown while you are zoning to your base with the message "You have been forcibly disconnected from the server. MapShuttingDown"
- Game crashes after extensive time (2+ hrs) spent editing base.

Quote:That about sums it up.Actually I saw nothing humorous here in the least. In fact after skimming over Arcanaville's latest hyper-detailed reply I just found myself thinking if people as smart as this weren't wasting this much energy on utter forum nonsense like this we as a species would've already cured cancer and terraformed Mars by now.
Quote:No that's not what I'm saying. But is that a topic you'd like to discuss?
Quote:...Not worth derailing a thread over.
Now, what is worth derailing this thread over is Diablolique's belt! SO WANT!
And agreed again. -

In the General Options, under Reticules, I believe there is a line called "personal player name"... you need to enable it.

Quote:I believe this is also correct... as far as I know, Leagues do not work in bases.im not 100% sure if the CoP is fixed to use league style stuff..., im guessing if everyone was on their own team it might have worked ...
So... 3 members of the hosting SG need to be leaders of 3 teams... and not in league mode.

Technically, it's not.
But I think what Forbin was demonstrating was how a doorway could be walled off in such a manner as to create a unique room/doorway for a multi-room maze.
Hassenpheffer and others have done this quite successfully.
Nevertheless, even a single room maze is no small feat. Gratz, Felina. -
Quote:Ohhhhhh... Highbrow Humor...... good one.Quote:I'd guess it's an analogy.
"Some of us want the comic book style for some of our characters." is to "Not stretched and not painted on for that design might be a wardrobe malfunction." as "Spinach does not, as is commonly believed, have high amounts of iron." is to "Some of us want the comic book style for some of our characters."
Which would be to say that she's implying your comment about wanting it for your characters was a bit of a non sequitur.
I could be wrong though.
Okay....
Now back to your regularly scheduled beauty pageant...
Going from the in-game, not artist renderings, characters... I still stand by my previous vote for Mirror Spirit.
I remember the first time I saw her, thinking, "Oooooooo... I want a costume like THAT". And, compared to the others, I still think she is the most unique and beautiful.

Awesome job, DR!
I always run your vids a few times in a row.
for initial impact
for rhythm and music (also part of editing)
for images and editing
As always, I think you've hit this one outta the park. -
Quote:Really?
Because I didn't get it either.
The "wardrobe malfunction", I got. That was mildly amusing.
But the spinach/iron thing?...
The only correlation to Arcana's second "joke" that I can think of is "Popeye".
And frankly, that IS a stretch, and a pretty poor one at that; certainly not deserving of knee-slapping in my book.

Quote:That's fine, and interesting to hear.From MasterElemental1:
Can you do me a favor being I can't answer the question about my artwork on the forums.
The pose wasn't taken from Judeo Christianity, just a typical fallen hero pose. was more thinking about Superman in Lois arms when he died. The halos are in game so they where added.
Sometimes things become repeated or used so often that there is a misconception that they are "generic": Kleenex, Xerox, Jell-O etc.,. But in all actuality, they are items with a specific branding and specific imagery attached.
My point is that it behooves any kind of artist* to understand the origins of certain poses and imagery. Because, intentional or not, the audience will pick up on the subtext (especially when several are used in combination). An educated artist knows how to use such subtext to their advantage... and there is no doubt in my mind that the Superman folks (writers & directors) knew this as well.
BTW, A person can make observations about the use of imagery in art without attaching judgement.
*some folks may not know that I have a theatrical background -
Quote:I understand that it wasn't before. Yet folks were still posting after it had been changed, which meant that folks were not double checking, which is why I posted it with links.Just to note, it wasn't before. It was Tin Mage. You can see the WST post was edited at 1:21pm (pacific).

On the page it says San Diego.
Besides, at that price it better be a stack of Bacon Waffles filled with thick sliced Bacon.
And the waffle... it completely fills a dinner plate, is about an inch (or more) thick and has long thick strips of bacon baked in... These guys don't fool around, their portions are huge.
But I understand travel restrictions, and I would love to try Holder's offering...

Look, I'm not trying to piss in anyone's cornflakes, I'm saying it was an interesting observation. The pose is thoroughly entrenched in christian art, and there is no mistaking the sacrificial savior and heavenly ascension themes in the submission.

Quote:I disagree. The pose is not generic, but rather established by christian sculptors and artists in our early history. There are even pietas that date from 1375-ish, before Michelangelo's most famous statue in 1497.applicable.. its a generic pose used often.. fallen hero in someones arms...
I would be interested to see if there is any non-christian art or sculpture before that time period, depicting the same pose (woman holding a dead prone man or "fallen hero").

Just using quick image searches, I'm not having any luck with:
ancient Greek statutes
ancient Greek paintings
ancient Roman statues
ancient Roman paintings
ancient Egyptian statues
ancient Egyptian paintings
ancient Chinese statues
ancient Chinese paintings
ancient statues of India
ancient Indian paintings

1. Leaf Nin - subtly simple, I just keep coming back to it
2. Furry Jackel - feels cozy, warm colors, great technique
3. Master Elemental1 - though I feel technique needs work, I was intrigued by the concept.
