He's sort of the Borat, or perhaps the Michael Myers (fat one, not serial killer one), in the community.
His goal wasn't to join and coexist within community norms-- his aim wasn't peace, he came to push buttons. I kind of agree that it's sad buttons could be pushed, but if your agenda is to press the stress levels of players (including children, which I doubt the good professor could distinguish before the damage was done), you will accomplish mayhem.
Meh-- pass. 'Sides, I think Dirty would be an infinitely more interesting persona than Twixt, and much more honest about his intentions in the end. -
I'm happy to get on board for this.
Got the following to help:
Stone/Energy Tanker
Rad/Rad Defender
Emp/Rad Defender
Electricity/Energy Blaster
Mind/Kin Controller -
Isn't that of Freedom clearing a bunch of zones of Dropships, Michelle?

This of course is just an idea off the top of my head, and while I'd like to see something like that, I'd never ask the Devs to dedicate time for it instead of other changes.

Hey, who's to say what I want is more important? Assert yourself! This is your world!

Another idea that I think could be great is, remember those Arena Gladiator battles? Well, what if the same way that we earn Gladiators, we could earn Custom Critters from Dev Choice/Hall of Fame missions (or even regular published missions)?
[/ QUOTE ]
What's great about your ideas so far is they tend to take existing items the game does nothing with and makes something cool and awesome out of them. I think that's doable without being lagtastic...
The only question is, what happens to a Gladiator if the mission it was spawned from is banned? -

- I'd like to be able to trigger goals based on a combination of accomplished goals.
- I'd like to be able to craft temp-powers and trigger them by the completion of certain goals.
- I'd like clues to include an image from the library of objects AE already lets us use as collectible objects.
- I'd like clues to include an image created from the costume of a custom critter Boss we defeated in mission.
- I'd like the ability to reward the player with "trading-cards" (or Badges) carrying the pictures of custom-critter Bosses and allow players to swap and trade these "cards".

Great suggestions, Lord Xenite!- Adding multiple circumstances for Event Spawn hadn't occured to me, but that's brilliant.
- This would take some work, but the format of these missions is a lot like a Task Force, so there's no reason they couldn't allow a pallette of custom weapon powers and options, including a specific effect on a specific enemy group (or specific enemy).
- That's not a clue, that's a souvenier, and I love the idea of including those as mission accomplishment items.
- Tricky, but not impossible-- every critter gets one of these already when created, so it's just a matter of where to send the image and why.
- While this is a cool idea, I think this is the least interesting to me, simply because I'd rather see other stuff get done first. Also, it creates a lot of extra code in the system that can add to lag (I believe). If the trading was done on something that was very, very difficult and standarized (Giant Monsters and such), then it would make more sense to collect them and have cards.

This is a great idea, Timeshadow. Here's my first two ideas, which I originally posted here and here. I posted an idea between these two, but it wasn't very good.
Advanced Mission Goal: TRANSFORM
Transform is a command associated to an NPC in an Event class. The character changes from one character to another, and the change in classification helps turns on settings. As the character changes, it also has the option of using a costume change e-mote.
For an example, Dr. Jeckyl is a scientist players lead to his lab kit. When he gets there, he gets a whiff of the chemicals brewing and with a might roar, changes into Mr. Hyde in front of the player.
Advanced Mission Objective: RITUAL
Rituals, as in Disrupt the Ritual, can currently be placed by just creating a basic Release a Captive, or if you want to be trickier, Add an Ally or Add an Escort. Add an appropriate Enemy animation and an appropriate Captured animation, and call it a day.
But what if you want to add a time limit, and a consequence, to NOT stopping the ritual? For instance-- those poor souls captured by the Vhazilok and transformed into Eidolons... wouldn't it be fun to see that happen, and have it seriously hurt the mission?
What I propose is a Ritual objective that behaves much like an Escort, but allows the architect to set a time limit to rescue the hostage(s), what event triggers the timer, and a transformation where the hostage is removed and an Enemy is placed. It can even be set Rogue, killing the enemy group that summons it. -
To be defined as parody, there has to be an intent at humor that satisfies the purpose of the parody.
If I write an adventure based on Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, it's funny to see that in CoX, but is it largely humor or largely an adventure? Because P&P&Z is both, it is difficulty to defend as parody and more likely an attempt to cash in on an intriguing license.
In order for it to be a parody, I need to have no names the same, no direct references (subtlety is key), and no like purpose (I shouldn't make a comedy-survival-horror story out of a comedy-survival-horror story). -
Currently, Snipe powers aren't available. I'm always hopeful that it will under a Sniper-class critter to be added later... I'd love to have a Stealth-sniper Ninja use an Archery snipe.

I've wanted to do Huge armor suits for regular-sized people, so this comes in handy.

Here's a suggestion of something that could be added to great benefit...

Cobalt Azurean is an anagram of the politcally radical 1960's group, A Bacon Zeal Rut, otherwise known as ABZR.

Fitty! I set it to auto SK to 50, but I wouldn't recommend bringing lowbies. I was looking for something that started simple and quickly turned oppressive.
Mission 1: blinky collections, escort a hostage
Mission 2: fight an EB, escort a hostage, deal with ambushes
Mission 3: protect and escort a hostage, fend off ambushes, clean an AV's clock. -
I've been working on an arc since before Issue 14 came out that 14 didn't really allow me to make, faithfully. I need to fine-tune it before it's released, and I was hoping to find some people from Champion who'd be kind enough to sign on and play one of each AT for the missions.
I will be bringing my Emp/Rad Defender, so I would like to see a Blaster, Controller, Scrapper, Tanker, Peacebringer, and a Warshade, and maybe one more of something. If you can help and would be willing to give up a few hours Wednesday 8 pm Eastern to 10ish to help me test this, please respond. If we get overflow (doubt it, but y'never know), I'll just publish it and let people grab it themselves, but I wanted to test it out first if possible.
Thanks Champions! -
It would be great if Mastermind pets could be added to villain groups as Minions/Lts/Bosses without granting any change to their powers.
In general, I would like the ability to import an enemy to my Custom Group and change nothing but the name, so I could pull a ghost into my Ninja enemies (along with the Genin, Jounin and Oni already in game). -
Hero-wise, much is going on for Champion, but not so much for villains, sadly.
-
Why on earth should I pay for more slots when I don't even have the available memory to make my own completely customized enemy group?

Why does everyone give Cobalt credit...he runs BMT and thats about it...

Granted, but it's an easy mistake to make, given that Cobalt passing on the word tends to inspire more join-ups then the average Joe. He's a hell of an instant recruiter and a great asset to Champion.
Never leave us.Now, where's my check?

I'd really like to see small, medium and large variations on the Terra Volta reactor, complete with core.

Actually, it's the reverse, to better relate a reward to story. The points is to have heroic missions that specifically rewards teamwork within supergroups, and villainous missions that reward selfishness and might-makes-right.
In fact, it would be work better if the larger share of the reward was in clickies, so that villains were specifically tempted to take from each other.
But since the end result is the same, it's probably not a workable idea. Rewards and game can be tricky, and as much as I'd like to see this kind of thing in game, the redside concept would probably bring out some bad elements in players. Thought I'd throw it out there, so now I'll reel it back in! -
Here's an idea for two new Mission Parameters: The New Dawn (blueside only) and Moneygrubber (redside only).
The New Dawn is a long Defeat All mission, that limits map selection to one of several Rogue Isles city maps. The Hero invades the Rogue Isles just to rescue mugging or extortion victims. The victims are incredibly grateful and actually stop to thank the heroes for the pains they go to save them, specifically thanking the player's SG (if they are in SG mode). This mission offers no XP, Debt repayment, or Influence, but instead offers aslight increase in the earn rate of Prestige.
Moneygrubber is a high-risk bank mission to rob the Paragon City Treasury. Longbow and the PPD are heavy, and instead of experience, Prestige, or debt repayment, Infamy is the lone reward. It uses a special map series that takes the player deep into a Longbow base, to potentially fight off a Vindicator (or seven). -
Oh!
Well, here's a wish list to add to that:
New Body Type: Monstorous, as large as the Huge size but using a hunched-over Monkey frame
New Heads: Robotic lens
New Chest: Robotic (moving machine parts to slender to be a Man-In-Suit)
Lower Body: Tank treads
Back/Wings: Shark Fin -
There are some animals they can use with the current animations, like monkeys and gorillas, but to do something like a dog would take some custom work.
I wonder if such a thing could be bought from another company cheaply. I was thinking of Vampire: the Masquerade: Redemption, which has dogs and wolves in it.
