    Cant connect

    Mine is stuck on the LOADING... bar. Tried it 3 times now. Just gonna let it run I guess and hope for the best.

  5. Just to make this perfectly clear, I am a noob/newb/nub with mm's.

    I have a lvl 41 necro/pain/mu atm. Slotted up with SO's that I want to tankmage with. I took provoke, intimidate and invoke panic thinking that would be a great way to start a battle. Provoke em to me (in BGM), they attack. My pets return attack. Then I IP them. Debuff, provoke, etc...But I have no real experience doing this. It was just a light bulb that turned on last week that told me that would be a swell idea. But in the past 2 or so days, I've realized that all I really need is provoke. Got into just running up to the highest lvl and provoking it then debuffing while my pets attacked. I liked that style better than making them come to us. But fire and lethal seem to just wreck my babies.

    I was doing fine until I did Sirocco's patron arc. Started out at 2/3. 1st mission went ok. But by the time I waded through the EB's and got to Serafina, I was down to 1/1. Serafina put me at 0/1. Was very disappointed. Then I looked at what I had, went to mids, looked at what I could have, felt that sinking feeling in my stomach that I had a few useless powers compared to some of the others I could take. Then (which I should have done 1st) went to the boards and looked for advice. But there aren't many specifically for necro/poison. Maybe there is but it wasn't titled as such. The MM guide itself is from issue 7? I think so stopped at like page 15 I think and decided to ask here.

    Anyways. To make a long question finally short. What should I shoot for? Below is a pathetically week attempt at my 1st MM build and I feel so lost. It's not completely finished as I was getting increasingly frustrated over which sets to go for.

    Sorry it took so long to ask one question but venting at the white screen made me feel a lil better. Thanks for any and all suggestions.

    Just tinkered with mids a bit more and came up with this...guess I'm going for some reg/hp bonus wise and I took Charged Armour to stack? with BGM. How much is needed to compliment BGM? Wondering if the incoming dmg decreases once it hits the shield and then decreases again once it hits BGM?

  7. Would like to start merit farming and have read that Spy Hunt was a good place to start, at least for stalkers it is. Is it the same for all AT's? If so, what powers should I be choosing for my Bane and should I IO him for the farm? Is that worth it? If not, what farm is ideal for my Bane? Currently, this is what I have.     Another power which I really like. It is a power that is perfectly in line with my playstyle but I just don't see any room in the build for it. The only power I can think of taking out would be tornado, but that's on the "fav don't touch or remove list" of mine. On top of that, I lose the soft capped ranged def from the thunderstrike set.

    I tend to allow my health to drop a lil too far sometimes cuz I'm busy laying down the shredding choas and heal self saves the day. I am more like a scrapper in my play style as I tend to get in the thick of things closer than I should. Not to mention the alpha strike that happens when I first hit a group with SS (only if I forget to use a corner or the LOS tactic). Maybe once I get all the pieces and my s/l/range def gets to where my build proposes I won't need it as much or at all. But for the moment, I can't see myself w/o it.

    I took out the defdeb/end and put in the defdeb/rchg which dropped the rchg by a few seconds as opposed to 1.8 end used. About four seconds off of perma. Hurricane taken at 24 instead off 22, well I just didn't think that it would matter much taking it at 24 and it didn't. Already had 3 (4 if you count corners and LOS, 5 if you count SM+stealth sprint) extremely useful mitigation powers so I thought that picking up aim at that point was as good as time as any.

    I would like to take o2 as I am a big fan of it for the reasons you stated, but then I wouldn't have been able to get heal self. As a fire/storm I don't think it wise to take 2 heals (not that I think you were implying that, just me thinking this out b4 I chose) as there are more important things to do than the job of a Therm or PD or Kin. Lack of room for it is what it really comes down too.

    I think all the powers I've taken are either very much needed or favourites of mine i.e. tornado. I don't really use it unless I'm soloing and just wanna cut loose with the chaos. It's a fav and I don't really see myself as a stormie ever not taking it in a pve build. Thanks again for your response and help.
  13. This is my proposed pve build (power levels not finalized, but the sets are close I think). Team and solo. Maybe even arena pvp. Do I need hasten or just more recharge. I know I need more end control, but I can't seem to get it down w/o giving up the def. Really need some help with this. Thanks in advance.

Decided to look a lil bit further into the tanker forums for this build and came across a fully soft capped inv/dm (s/l, e/ne, f/c) but for the life of me can't remember where I saw it or who it was. But I did however export it to mids. Since mine was inv/eneme, I fooled around with it to get similar numbers.

    Below is the build. Looks pricey. More so than just soft capped s/l and e/ne. I haven't quite got it soft capped like the inv/dm did, but it's very close. I take no credit for this what so ever and would love to know who's build it is so I can give proper thanks. I plan on attempting to make this build (yes, I know that fire and cold are less used) even though I know it could take along time. Thanks again to all previous advice.

  17. Sorry about the lack of info. I guess I don't have the mind of a tank just yet (troller in the brain) when posting to the forums. The reason I made this tank was to be a meat shield for some sg buddies a few months ago. But I grew tired of nothing but AE missions and left to wait out the AE craze. Came back and wanted to finish up where I left off. I want to be able to do decent dmg as well so I can't see myself dropping BU. I didn't initially take a travel power since I just got the ninja run power and thought that'd be enough. I made adjustments according to all the advice I've recieved (I think) about this topic and the below build will hopefully reflect it. Again. Thanks alot for the advice/responses.

  18. Thx for the advice. I'm not gonna reach the numbers that you have by just a few % due to different power choices, but I at least feel a lil better about my energy resists. DP is almost perma now too, so that is another bonus. Thx again.
  19. This is my 1st tank to 50 that I've decided to try and io out and I've run into a small problem I think. I currently don't have resist energies or hasten but I think I need them. It feels weird making a build w/o hasten and my energy resists is obviously lacking since I don't have RE in there. In their place I have taken stimulant and aid self. Figured w/o hasten and DP takeing 160+secs to rchg, I could use aid self since it will be up every 10 secs. Now, I have not tested the proposed build yet so I can't tell whether or not I'd miss them. I just fooled around on mids after hitting 50 to see what I could shoot for. I also decided to take the energy mastery ancillary powers of conserve power and physical perfection to help minimize the end useage. So, to make this long story short, do I need resist energies and hasten instead of heal self? Are my power choices overall good choices or should I be takeing something else?   21. Sorry. This is also my 1st post on the new forums so I don't know how to format it the way you suggested. As for you questions. Like I said in my post, I honestly don't know what to take. But after reading some posts, the imm powers seem to be "dom killers" I guess. I plead ignorance.But I will take your advice in to account. Thank you.
  22. This is the 1st dom that I intend to lvl to 50. I've played them b4, but have shied away from them cuz I just didn't know what to take since most o the powers are attack based (minus the pp's). But now I plan on giving this one my full and undivided attention. I went with Grav/Elec for that dark side look and feel. I've read a few o the posts and have decided to skip the imm's and take more o the 2ndary powers.I would like to take all 3 pets but don't know what I'd have to give up to achieve that. Maybe SoP? It won't kill me if I don't get to take the MU pet, I just thought that would be cool to have 3 pets is all. Anyways, thx for all replies. This is what I've come up with.
