Glad to know Loyla supports such garbage. I want to get paid to be an [censored] in a video game, then be surprised when people get ticked off by it.

1) Not enough slots in DB
2) NF way to late
3) Dark Pit can be moved back if taken at all.
4) Absorb Pain way over slotted and can even be skipped
5) Rez only needs one slot
6) Fort is way under slotted
7) Recovery Aura is over slotted
8) Health is over slotted
9) AB is under slotted
10) Life Drain is crap
11) Clear Mind does not need to be taken that early
12) Regen Aura is pretty over slotted also. -
I rarely if ever fort a tank. Waste of the buff as long as there are other defender/controllers/blasters/khelds around.

Oh good gawd. Look, all you whiners out there, just please be quiet. Look if those Arcs weren't just plain terrible then they wouldn't be subjected to such harsh critique. As it is, I find the reviews to be just, plus it is still just one person's opinion. You've stated your dislike over the thread, but you endorse it every time you post by bumping it up to the top. You've stated your opinion... now move along.

There is a limit to how many times that even a Galactic Hobo can hear that he is wrong and that everybody else is right ...
There comes a point where even a Galactic Hobo heeds the passionate words of others that he should just give up and move along quietly...
And there comes a time when even a Galactic Hobo must step aside and do nothing, and thus allow evil to triumph ...
But I'm not there yet!!!!!

Another Hobo, Galactic to boot! Who knew. Keep up the good fight in space. -

As for moving the convention, I think their best, and maybe only, option would be to move it to Vegas. I don't see how they could expand the SD convention center any further, unless they went up.

You can get an idea of the expansion.
I am not going to con this year, but as I live down the street I will attend any CoX parties etc. like they had last year if possible. -

A message from HoboHealer "Re: Test Build" sayin' he wasn't goin' anywhere near duels with his empath. Hobo's a good player and a good guy. Whereever you are, Cheers!

Nice to see you still around Terp! And a great read. Some great names in that list and memories. Happy to be mentioned.
Most of my old PM's are about PvP/The old PvP leagues/Drafts also. -

I can understand some buffs and not wanting them due to some graphics issue/motion issues.
But if someone told me to not us a blast like Explosive Arrow I would tell them to piss off and find another team. That is just redonkuless.
[/ QUOTE ]
Well Hobo, I could see his point. The attack's KB proc had gone off just before he said it, so I figured he was worried about knocking enemies into unagroed groups. As such I refrained from using it unless things were immobilized by KB preventing imobs. The energy blaster with us had gotten booted for reckless knockback causing six team wipes the mission previous.
[/ QUOTE ]
I often slot extra knockback into knockback powers just to knock stuff everywhere and aggro. I probably would have made my exit from that team.
I can't take the game that seriously. -
Gave up on PvP a long time ago. Interesting to see Defenders fall so far down the list when back in the days in Arena they were top really only bested by controllers depending on build.

The biggest skill many players lack in this game?
The ability to not take themselves or this game so seriously -
Most of mine are about Empaths, PvP and Empaths, and Healer Threads. Nothing really that exciting. Funny seeing some old forum names I have not seen in a long time though.

Feel free to check out Repeat Offenders (url in my sig) or our post in the SG forums.
We also have a no Farm/PL, etc. policy. 30+ SG's across three servers and the largest SG global channel in the game. -

I hate the new trend, "Must send tell with build." I saw that the other day so I sent a tell, "I'm built like a brick !@#$ house, can I join?"
[/ QUOTE ]
I usually say "Bad/ToTheBone" or "Awesome/Win". But my personal policy is not to join any pick-up teams where they say "We need X".

Whenever you ask me if I am interested in coming on one of your TF runs I think I almost always ask you what to bring and you always answer, whatever I want. -

So um....
....has anyone realized that Defenders, in terms of buffing and debuffing, are not only packing the strongest versions of buffs and debuffs, but are also probably the strongest in MMOdom?
Defenders designed to have soloability will have soloability. The damn game says 'Hey, some powersets will solo and some will not' when you click on Defender. It's not hard. Take debuffs. Take blasts. Go. Hunt. Kill Skuls.
[/ QUOTE ]
I don't have a problem with defenders as they stand either. I know people that solo EB's with Empaths with ease. I don't think defenders are as weak solo as people make them out to be.
I agree that Vig is about worthless (some utility in teams, totally useless solo), but Defenders as a whole are just fine IMHO. -

a competent stealth team will always be faster than a competent steamroller team.
[/ QUOTE ]
So I have heard, but I've never seen that actually manifest.
I simply no longer believe stealthing to be a good tactic for any TF or SF and won't participate in it any more. I have yet to see any instance where stealthing actually saved more time than it ultimately cost. The best stealth team I've seen has finished a TF exactly five minutes LATER than a similar steamroll team.
I just simply don't believe it any more.
And besides all of that, I find stealthing immensely BORING to boot.
So, no significant time savings, less XP from fewer kills, and boredom.
No more stealthing for me.
[/ QUOTE ]
I prefer to fight it out on the highest difficulty, but I have been on stealth/speed runs that finish in under 30 minutes. Never been able to steam roll one that fast.
Probably been done, I've just never been apart of one. -

I can't get into FF. I had one in the mid 30s that could softcap people, but it was SO boring compared to other sets. I deleted the toon in favor of others and don't regret a thing.
I could see having more fun with a bot/ff mm though.
[/ QUOTE ]
More fun with a bot/ff MM? I consider MMs to be tops for more boring AT personally, I feel like I'm not doing anything at all.
[/ QUOTE ]
I have a mid 40's Bot/FF that is possibly the most boring character I have ever played.
Buff bots, they buff each other. Make them aggressive, go eat a sandwich. Solo's like a champ, takes little to no effort or interaction. Zzzzzzz . . . -

LMAO @ "malicious buffer"
[/ QUOTE ]
I wonder if the name "Malicious Buffer" is taken. Great name. -
One of my current mains is a Grav/TA controller at 40 named Immobo Hobo. He has been fun to play, pretty easy set with minimal skill/concentration needed. Lots of slots to go around.

I can't imagine playing the set on a defender. It just feels so 'meh' to me, but at least I have a decent primary to show for. TA/Arch just sounds painful to me.
[/ QUOTE ]
At various points along the way, TA/Arch can be painful. Of course the same can be said for many builds. In the endgame, built for high recharge/recovery, TA/Arch is a damage dealing, debuffing beast.
[/ QUOTE ]
Oh I am sure. I have enjoyed mine more now with some of the later toys available.
Just lacks the pizazz/flash of some other sets. Feels lost in the crowd on a full team. -
Just tell them they make you feel funny in your naughty bits.
Been playing a /TA recently up to 40 and I sometimes feel really useless on a team. Visually outside of oil slick it is hard to tell if I am really doing anything. I know the buffs help, but they lack the visuals for all to really see.

If you're playing any game, imo, and only going for the numbers, you're doing something wrong. Play the game for fun, that's what it's there for and play the power sets you enjoy.
[/ QUOTE ]
Sorry but the numbers matter a lot. There are reasons why you almost never saw Ice Armor tanks until its mechanics were fixed, same goes for Trick Arrow and Dark Miasma.
[/ QUOTE ]
To you maybe. I could care less about numbers, now I don't even bother with Set IO's and use just commons and SO's.
I play what looks fun, regardless of how powerful or weak it maybe. This game is just not that hard that numbers really matter once a team of 8 is just rolling over everything. -

Same. I have a bunch of 50's on Virtue I can drag out to join you with. Also have a Warshade and soon an Earth/Storm in range. -
TF must have is fun and friendly people. AT does not matter as long as everyone is ready to have fun and not take the game to seriously.
