  1. Edits done. Thank you so much for the feedback!!!
  2. Thanks so much for your feedback! I'm addressing the issues with extraneous clues, pacing, and typography. I'll be adding backstories to villians and allies on the fly, so bear with me. RW is an issue around the holidays, and gaming is only a secondary responsibility.

    Mission 1:
    Contact's bio/background is missing
Briefing clue is uneeded, just repeats the mission txt (same with the following mishes)
Basic mission motivation is good, but could be more personal. Why did Mr W pick ME for this mish as opposed to the thousands of others?
Slay Belle (love that name!) bio/background is missing
Why 12 bombs? So many objectives on the first mish (of 5) makes the arc start off slow and grindy, esp on the open boat map. Maybe lower the # of objectives and put it on a small map so the action starts fast and fun!

    Mission 2:
Typo: Briefing txt- Kings Row (no apostrophe)
Nav Bar Objective overload! Group the objectives with generic nav bar terms so they don't turn the nav bar into a novel
LOVE LOVE LOVE the ambush dialogue

    Mission 3:
Clean up nav bar objectives again
Typo: Nav Bar objective- Charity Worker
Typo: Charity Worker rescue dialogue- twisted

    Mission 4:
Great dialogue throughout this whole mission

    Mission 5:
    Typo: Mission briefing- Oranbega
    Typo: Goldleaf bio- friend
Elvish really really really needs a bio/background (best. costume. ever!)
Mission Debrief was missing. Should have something in there to sum up the adventure, it needs closure.

    Other notes:
You may want to add the contest details to mission 1's briefing clue, the mission text, or into the mission description (that you read on the AE computer.) It was only luck that someone checked the Arc Souvenir and found details on how to enter the drawing and at that point all clues were removed from the clue tab since the mission is over. Luckily, I wrote them down as we went along.

While custom enemy group looks great they can hit pretty hard. Our tank faceplanted a few times to something with Build Up, always a tough power to balance on customs. We played as a nearly full team and only had a few defeats, not sure how balanced it is for soloers.

The arc gets very repetitive. You may want to see if you can tell the same story in 4 missions (Mission 1 was pretty much fluff) or swap out Anti-Claus in each mission with a diff boss so you build up to a fight with Anti-Claus as opposed to fight him over and over. When you've beat the big bad 4 times already, it's Anti-Climactic to beat him in the end. On the other hand, Fruitcake (genius btw) would make the perfect villain to fight over and over ;P

I hope these notes help a bit. We had a good time running thru the arc and wish you the best of luck with your festivities!

There's an auction in the works on their website, and they'll be setting up an AE arc to run as well.

  4. thanks to R-Tech for teh uber cool new banner!
  5. thanks to dazz marvelous for the uber cool new PERC banner!
  6. This coming Sunday is the first anniversary of Infinity's weekly Sunday Ship Raid. To celebrate the occasion, after the usual ship raid, we are holding a Vanguard themed costume contest with 1 billion inf to be awarded in prizes (500 mil red/blue). Winning costumes must contain at least one Vanguard costume piece. Additionally, there will be a Rikti War Zone themed trivia contest with 50 million inf in prizes to be awarded, so dust off that Paragonwiki page and study up on your RWZ lore.

Events will kick off at 8 PM EST Sunday 8/8/10, but be prepared to arrive early as we often max out the zone, and no events are planned for RWZ 2!

Thanks for being there to kick the Rikti!

  7. teh herc has tried all week to get his race team together for practice, but alas, to no avail. latest word is that HeadCutter is trying to organize the AEA team now. best of luck to him. Whether AEA fields a team for the race on saturday remains to be seen.
  8. is there a planned time for the races, or simply a deadline for submitting screenies to giles?
  9. I'm very excited about this event on Infinity. We already have a weekly Ship Raid and frequent LGTFs, so I'm hoping some of our LGTF all-stars will come out and take a title!
  10. aww...look at the pointy little teeth. isn't that adorable! (gives pet troll a troll biscuit).

oh, and thank you for the 'global ignore' information, Err. it's the first useful thing i've ever seen you offer, and i'll be sure to apply it forthwith!
  11. aww... i have my own pet troll. isn't he cute?

what a sad, sorry soul you must be, eran, to seek pleasure in the discomfiture of others. what you laud as "snark and style" is really naught but small-minded meaness. all you have exposed is your own unwarranted prejudice.

i've met many people such as you in my life, eran. you're all too common, you who eat and breathe negativity because you have nothing positive to offer. you who seek to provoke and undermine others to feed your own pitiable need for some sense of superiority. i've realized that it's generally a waste of energy to engage such as you at all. it's better to simply smile and walk away. would that there were a "global ignore" on forums...
  12. the heroic nature and concept of the SG are implicit in the message. that i'm posting would seem to imply that i'm a leader, and obviously Zeus as well. we have no regular SGRP time, so that information was ommitted. our coalition is large, and out of consideration to them i would not list them without first asking them. i can safely include Hero Heights, i think.

honestly, Errant, have you nothing better to do than follow me around and give me grief?

oh, and i like it on infinity, and have no desire to move.
  13. The Champions of Olympus have come to Paragon City, and seek the allegiance of all the Gods and Heroes of classical Greek mythology to aid in our quest to restore the glory of Olympus. Several Major Gods and numerous Titans and heroes have not yet joined the effort, and Zeus is displeased.
  14. The Infin Awards have been set on the back burner. While plenty of people are interested in winning one, there's not been so much interest in the planning and execution of the Event. It remains a nice idea, and maybe it will happen in the future. In the meantime, the Infinity Events Guild is judging the Best Bases Tour (which had FAR more participation than we had anticipated), and PERC is rolling out some Riktilicious fun for the end of the month- stay tuned!
  15. the judging panel is up to it's seared eyeballs in screenies to go over. literally thousands. apologies that winners have not yet been announced, but be assured that we are astonished at the patience, novelty, attention to detail and creativity that exists in the Infin base-building community. you ALL deserve prizes.
  16. There are active Base Editors on Infin Server. This weekend, in fact we are having a Best Bases Tour, with 3 billion in inf to be awarded as prizes. A base may be a useless accotrement in the present incarnation of CoH, but it can be a PRETTY COOL useless accountrement!
  17. looks like the judging panel is going to have a very busy weekend on 2/12-2/14.

Only ask since the base I'd enter would be redside and any prizes would either have to wait till GR is up or Id have to get a hero to take
The Event is both Red and Blue. Evil is good here.

The committee is forming, and deliberations win begin this week in the Infinity Events Guild portal. First order of business will be to determine the categories and criteria for winning them, then publish that information on this thread, and accept nominations from the community.
