  1. Sorry, did not mean to imply that I did not believe your time. Just making the point that anyone could leave out important details and say something that is true but also could be misleading.

Funny how leaving out info can distort things huh? No indication of what the user defines as "attacking". To some leaving on a damage aura is not them attacking, its mobs getting too close so no need to start timing. Difficulty setting is also not noted so it could be quite low with no bosses. Also you can click the glowie once the 2 boxes are broken and there is no indication that all the ambushes were killed.
  3. The only reason I want a vid on this one is because I was on freedom not too long ago and had a toon on my 2nd account PLed by someone who had the same stats you listed here in their bio. They also had someone on thier team already with a very similar global name that would enter and die, then the the other toon would enter.

They also ran the same farm as you listed using the exact same powers that you listed and the fastest time was 4:32 with constant attacking. Other times were 5:02, 5:17, 4:58 and 5:00. Based on that I have seen a ton of evidence that points to a big story to make thier favorite set seem better than it really is.

If that was not you then I appologize.
  4. Valid point. A DB will do better than SS if the only AOE the SS has is Footstomp and we are only talking SOs. I may argue with you on the order but not the fact that at basline levels, all those others are better than SS for AoE.

Just goes to show that insane levels of recharge can create some crazy builds.

Also i use the macros for reds cuz thats all i need since my s/l/fire/melee is softcapped and im usually around 500-600 damage most the time. I just ran fuzzy kittens FRONTLOAD map #482818 in 3:40 at 4/8 diff. very respectable for dark/fire. and i made 2.2 bil in 2 days with no annoying rage crash so for all those that are looking for something other than ss/fire...dm/fire can be great if built right like mine.
So leaving out information it is. You seem to do that alot. You don't mention you have your 2nd account as veng bait and that is the reason you are soft capped. To many, if you require a 2nd account to farm it does not really count as being the best. I am also curious as to how much of that 2.2 billion in 2 days was made from charging others for farms or comes from the 2nd account sitting there and its ticket sales.

As far as the time goes, Video or it didn't happen.

Honestly alot of us dont care about giving fexiblity to designers. We would rather have fun. Pre DR PvP was fun. Post DR it was not. You lost customers and many of us that stuck around no longer pvp or only do so very little. So with all this flxibility, what powers has the powers team created for PVP since I13? Nothing has been created, only modified based on DR. It would seem that if anything DR created more work not less.

Your job is not to make your job easier. It is to create a game that is fun for people so they will continue to pay you money to play that game. DR failed at this.

He said something about inf, and I thought he was one of those who pays people to help test missions. I've seen that before. Since you don't get xp or other rewards in test mode, some people will give out inf in exchange for others helping them test missions.
This turned out not to be the case. Nooo. As soon as I entered the mission, he opened a trade window and demanded 10 million inf, quite rudely.
I quit right then. I remember people used to pay others to act as bridges during the old sidekicking/exemping days, but I thought that had pretty well dried up.
And Isis knows I've done lots of AE missions, both farm and non farm, and nobody has ever demanded inf from me, nor have I asked anyone else for inf to join any team I ran.

So how common is this business of paying millions of inf for the privelege of joining a team?
I dunno if it was a farm or not- the leader didn't say, and I didn't stay long enough to find out. It didn't look like the maps usually used for farming.
Is charging inf for teaming very common, and is it generally considered a positive thing?

I had to laugh when somebody else publicly called out that team leader, suggesting he was a hypocrite- apparently he's been on lots of other people's farm/pl/plain AE mission runs, and he's never paid a cent of inf to them, but asks millions from others.
Sounds like you should have payed attention to what the "something about inf" was and it would have saved you the trouble. It seems like you were made aware that money would be required for you to join the farm and you joined anyway, without paying attention, and did not want to pay for it. Is it rude to expect you to pay for something that was advertised as such?

As far as how common it is, it depends on your server. Fredom has them all the time in atlas and cap. Personally I don't normally advertise "pay me to farm you". But if I see someone doing it I tend to lowball them and take all their customers away.

Also it should be noted that it is not paying for joining a team. It is paying for someone else to do the leveling for you, and in most cases very fast leveling that you would not be able to accomplish either solo or even on a decent team. By fast I mean lvl 49-50 in 10 Min.

Also, so what if someone else got him to 50 and he did not have to pay for it. He is offering a service and you can decide if you want that service or not.

Edit to add: Something I did forget to add. In most cases you will get the ticket cap for the mission as well. If you spend your tickets wisely and know how to sell stuff on the market, you can normally make up the cost for the PL with the potential of even turning a profit.

Therefore it does not happen? Hang out in Cap on freedom for a while.
  9. Also to note, that is every 10 seconds if there are mobs around you or not. Does not really mean anything on ambush farms but if you are moving from spawn to spawn there are times it could fire with no one in range.

    SS

SS is last because frankly, it has one AOE that does damage. It's a great aoe, but you can't chain it with 3 other AoE's like you can in Dual Blades (1K Cuts, Sweeping Strike, Typhoon, Sweep Combo, Attack Vitals Combo) or Elec (Thunderstrike, L-Rod, Jacob's Ladder) or even Claws (Eviscerate, Spin, Shockwave).
With SOs this may be true. When you factor in high recharge builds, your secondary and patron/epic powers SS blows them all away. Sure DB has 3 AoE attacks they can chain together. With high recharge, you can chian together Footstomp, Burn and Fireball. That tends to do a bit more damage compared to a high recharge DB build.
  11. Best educated guess would be that all 50+ mobs have the exact same drop rate for shards and that some bosses EBs and AVs have another table with a slightly higher drop rate in addition do the normal drop rate. So with each time they are defeated there is a minisucle chance of getting 2 shards.
  12. Honestly, if claws had the best AoE potential, don't you think you would see a ton of claws/whatever spamming their PL farms for money? Instead you see 15 guys with SS and one crazy guy with DM and another with Elec
  13. Right. How I would like to see it, would be to have the last 5 like normal, then an option to open up a window to see up to the last 50. That way you could see if the history of the last 50 sales were all over the place, you can expect to eventually buy it for a decent price. But if the price is constant, you chances are much lower.

No limitations on anyones freedoms and it would make it easier for people to figure out a fair bid as well as a fair sales price.

Granted some can try to inflate the market buy buying 50 of something at high prices to mess with the history, but that would only prove counter productive for them in the long run.

My guess as to why this has not been done is that it would take the market system forever to display those bids and would make the market overall slower.
  14. Exactly correct. Rage adds a constant bonus to other AoEs you may get in your patron pool that people seem to forget as well. Double rage is better than double blinding feint, double follow up, and perma soul drain.

With high recharge Footstomp can get close to damage per target on spin and affect a greater area in addition to adding higher bonus damage to things like Ball Lightning or Fireball when rage is calculated

    Seriously.

This is a Multi-Player Game. It is a Massive Multi-player ONLINE Game

Somethings are going to have requirements to have... you know... Multiple Players.

Not everything has to be soloed.

Not everything has to be duoed.

Sometimes, it's okay to have limitations to make starting some events more difficult.

Sometimes, yes, it's going to be hard to get things going because of the server pop.

That being said, this game does not need to be turned into solo-city where everything can be done without ever interacting with another player or getting outside your own personal comfort field and actually... you know...interacting with other players beyond saying hi at the auction house.

This game does not need to account for every single instance where a player wants to do something and there is nobody else on their server.

If nobody's on your server when you play, go to a different server. If you don't want to transfer, you can always make a new character.

Okay, in all fairness, EU players do get a bit of leeway here since they only have two servers and a really low server pop... But I'm not NCSoft Europe and I don't know what clue-by-four it's going to take for them to do something positive in relation to the game.
So what about when you are on one of the highest population servers, when you log in it shows the 3 red dots meaning lots of people are logged in at the time and you can only get 3 people total on your team to start Silver Mantis?

I spammed every channel I could think of and could not find another to fill that last spot for half an hour. We could have done it with 3, brute, MM and corruptor, but we were unable to start because we could not find another to do the SF.

So your suggested solution to my problem in this case would be to change to a lower population server? Yea that will certainly increase my odds.
  16. So change the warning labels.

Hey, this TF should be done with 8 people. You can start it with 4 but it will probably be a pain in the backside and you have a higher chance of failure.

Please stop protecting us from our own stupidity. If we want to run a duo and fail, let us.

    PvP Feedback

Personally, I would rather see the rollback of 90+% of the changes and then have it reworked with minor changes, 1 at a time, so the impact of each can be measured accuratly.
  18. If you are going to use that logic then you would also have to cause all AoE attacks to hit other players in the radius as well. Would make teaming with a fire armor tank, brute, scrapper quite dangerous.
  19. Have you ever considered changing the game to a FPS? Those are quite popular.
  20. So you want to increase the effectiveness of a power to almost 250% of what it was in exchange for nothing?

Sorry but I am pretty sure one of the reasons only 2 points are enhanceable is because the devs want KB to still be an issue vs some attacks unless you dedicate the resourses to prevent it. (Or play most melee toons)
  21. On my sonic/energy defender, anyone who complains about KB gets sonic repulsion put on them with mag 17KB. I get kicked alot with that toon for some reason.
  22. Honestly the only major change I would like to see on the market would be the ability to see the last 50 transactions instead of just the last 5.

  24. Something is worth what someone else is willing to pay for it. If people are buying stuff for that price, your answer is yes.
  25. Brute base damage for thier big hitters like Seismic Smash and KO blow is 148.48. Slotted with 3 level 50 IOs it is 259.59. After getting to a massive 10% fury, which is equal to 1 attack with every single mob around you being held and not attacking back your damage would be 325.29.

Tanker base damage for the same attacks is 158.53. Slotted with 3 level 50 IOs it is 315.3. The only other bonuses they can stack on are the same ones brutes can get. BU and rage and such.

    Convinced yet?

On my SS/Fire brute, it is not uncommon to have +400 to +500 damage bonus due to double rage, fury and a fairly constant stream of insp that can be turned into reds pretty easily. You go right ahead and try to get +500% damage on a tank.
