  1. I would want an I3 Fire/Kinetics tank

    HOOOOOO!!!

Well for all the Rangers who've made my life on the good side of Union a whole lot of fun for the last few months I've created a home for those who've been tempted to stray over to the dark side in the world of CoV. They are the Corrosion Rangers (Home of the Strange), and while it's ideal for your Corruptors (the most blasterish of the CoV AT's), any Ranger who wants to join is automatically in.

With impeccably bad timing (due to RL) I'm now away for a week, but Geiger Counter has invite priveliges - He's also in CoV as Crazy Carto and Mad Majikman, or you'll find him on CoH as Cartomancer V2, Radiotherapy or Majikman.

Would be great to have you all along, so give me a shout if your interested.

    Twisted Feather AWAY!!!

    [/ QUOTE ]

I can personally vouch for Majikman - I teamed with him a fair bit in Beta as we were in the E.V.I.L. SG together.

I haven't been playing CoV much though I have 3 chars - I'll see which one develops the best and then add it to the SG.
  3. with his stinking fat body "get in my belly"

“You didn’t say you would calm down,” grinned Aeronaut, “so I assumed you wanted the slap.” Halo laughed out loud as Doulos stuttered unable to find an answer.

    ROFLMAO
  5. Good to see you back Doc, I always enjoyed going through the Team Deviant website and wondered what happened to you guys.

I think that with the introduction of CoV, the concept of anti-heroes could be quite interesting for a number of players.
  6. Cool or Bodyguards for hire, patrolling the beach keeping the riff raff away from minor celebrities.

But back to the original point - The Rangers and Armoured Core would be happy to help
  7. Halo_

    Naming minions

In beta I named my protectorbots:

    Durex Mk1
    Trojan Mk1

    as they're only 99% effective
  8. We did have the Radiation Core on Union but I'm not sure what happened to them - I do see some of them from time to time.

We currently have single AT SGs on Union as part of the 1 AT Coalition:

    Precision Rangers - Blasters
    Team GBH - Scrappers
    Armoured Core - Tanks
    Union Overlords - Controllers
    SNHS - Defenders
  9. OMG!!! I've got to catch up now (1.5 lvs to go )

    Big gratz Gen
  10. Hmm wonder if they can go on the ceiling?
  11. Just done a vid of the Precision Rangers SG base:

It's a WMV and I've put it in a winzip. It's about 10.2 mb click here:

    http://www.myfilehut.com/userfiles/1...base%20Mk1.zip

I've done one for the Armoured Core but it's a bit big at 30mb - I'm trying to encode it at the moment to make it smaller but we'll see how it goes
  12. When using a Robo/FF MM in beta I found that the endu cost for Photon grenade was quite high and many people recommend not taking it as your protector bots get it as an attack later on.

If you chose to keep it and can afford the slots then acc, dmg, dmg, dmg, endrdx, recharge would be a sensible strategy.

General consensus is that repair is worth taking as it's an extra heal for your bots.

Flight works well in big open missions - you can take to the skies and control your bots in relative safety.

The US boards generally have better generic guides as they had beta for much longer than us and seem to have waaaay too much free time Take a look at the US guides index in player guides

The policeman placed the tip of his pen on the Precision Rangers emblem on Cinnamon Brandy’s chest. “He had that on him…”

ooh D you sly dog, I see where you're going with this
  14. A good tactic I was taught by Evil Khainestar is the pet decoy move:

On a rescue hostage mission where you have to take the hostage back to the beginning of the mish, keep your pets on passive.

Then when you see the first ambush, switch one of your pets to aggressive and send it Leeroy style into the ambush.

Whilst the mob are busy with your aggro machine, quickly sidestep them and head to the exit.

Remember to set it to hold its position otherwise it will try to catch up with you with mob in tow
  15. Hey Major Healer good to see that you're back was wondering what happened to you.

BTW nice 101 Log Bde flash in your avatar
  16. Nope, you need to have CoV to enter the bases - just as the prompt tells you when you try to enter the base portal.
  17. 6-slot heal is just not what it used to be
  18. Whoa.. very nice D you should go into script writing - this would make a very cool film.
  19. Energy/Fire Blaster here

come see my energy-fire sword circle-nova combos

    Also a Ranger
  20. Yeah really hating the nerfs here too, my heal fills only a third of my health bar when it used to do a full bar, my attacks are weaker and my defences are also considerably weaker - pretty much need to rely on a def to keep me alive when fighting just one mob

I'm now just a gimped scrapper but without the damage
  21. [ QUOTE ]
no more than 17 at a time though, obviously.

Also, rock eagle has been promoted to leader so he can take salvage too.

    [/ QUOTE ]

yeah damn nerfs, well with an 8 man tank team that should be a herd of oohh say about 136 perps
  22. I like the new colours and the emblem is not too bad - it stands out more than the A.

With regards to salvage - hold onto it for the time being - if you happen to see myself or Cuddles around then just trade it to us. To convert them to useful items we need a control room, power room (which we now have), a generator, a work room and a work table - that's alot of Prestige. So it'll be some time before we'll be able to refine the salvage.

I've been playing around with the base with what Prestige we have, we have a reception room complete with toilets and a reception desk, and a power room with a power amplifier - no generator at the moment as they're pretty pricey. Once we have power we can have a control room and that's where the fun starts with turrets and shields and teleporters

The base editor is pretty easy to use and once you get used to it is quick to use - we just need more prestige. We might have to get together and do a massive herd for more prestige.

I always prefer to bind the goto command to a mouse click - this means it selects the location immediately. So, for a basic click bind you could go for...

    /bind lctrl+lbutton "petcomall goto"

This would make all your henches go to the point you click, so long as you hold down the left Ctrl key when you do so.

    [/ QUOTE ]

meh it's still a button press and left click same as my macro
  24. Right, just tested this:

    /macro Goto "petcom_all goto defensive"

you can also have aggressive and passive.

it's now in my pow tray as pow no 4, v handy I forgot about this one.
