I downloaded Issue 22 last night and now my game won't work at all. I get a message that says "We have detected missing or corrupt game files, please run the 'Repair' option in NCSoft Launcher to fix this. The game will now exit." I have tried running the "repair" option several times and every time I get the same message. I played the game just the other day before the update and since now it won't work and that's the only thing that's changed, I'm going to safely assume that that's the problem. Has anyone else had this problem?

I've been having problems when I go to change any aspect of my character's appearances. When I pick a costume to modify, the head is always the default head (face 1, medium hair, no makeup) and I have to pay to change it back. Now once I do that, when I go to change another costume the head remains the same as the last costume I changed. This is fine if I stay with the same character (sometimes) but if I happen to switch characters the new character has the previous character's head, although the color scheme remains correct. At first I didn't care, but after a while paying 350k from the gate whenever I want to change anything gets old and expensive fast. I hope I'm not the only one with this issue, because I doubt that one complaint will get results. At least not in any reasonable amount of time.
p.s. Also, when you change something it will usually show you how much you're getting charged for each thing. When I get the default head issue, it simply says 350000 on the "head" tab. Nothing I do will make it go away and I always get charged that amount unless a discount ticket is being used. -

I'm sure this has been brought up before but I didn't feel like going through anymore pages looking for it. How about giving us the ability to change the height and size of characters when changing a costume. I'm not asking for a gender change but give us the ability to change the size and shape of a character so if someone wanted to give their oversized character a normal sized alter ego they could. Kind of like a Hulk/Bruce Banner type deal. It would be even cooler if when the player chose the civilian guise, their powers would shut off. Obviously this wouldn't apply with all characters and it would probably be a bit difficult to pull off but it would be a nice option for those that role play with their characters.
p.s. I know you can change the scales of a character but they'd still be the same height unless you changed the length of the legs, but that's only going to give a slight change in height. -
I ran it 3 times with three different characters. The level 23 Beam/Time controller went in a duo but my partner felt the need to fight every little thing that showed up so that one ended in a disaster and a bunch of debt. Never did finish it with her. However, my 33 Mind/Emp controller and my 50 Fire/Fire blaster made it through with flying colors solo while only killing the bosses at the end of the missions. I generally don't do TF's because I don't like being locked into missions for hours at a time but this one is only 3 missions long so its not bad. 30 minutes for the controller and 20 for the blaster. Had they made all 7 parts at once I more than likely would have skipped it, like I do with pretty much every TF. I think in my 7 years of playing I have run one, maybe 2 of them. I'm not a big fan of teaming up either, and my Beam/Time controller's experience is a prime reason why.

So Controllers get a damage bonus when the enemy is being held. Why a damage bonus when an accuracy bonus would be much more realistic and useful. What good is a damage bonus when you continually miss your target? Please don't tell me to put accuracy enhancements on the powers because I have some with 3 accuracy enhancements and they miss quite a bit too. If you put your enemy to sleep or immobilize him/her in any way, that's not going to affect their durability but it will make him/her much easier to hit since they can't dodge, block or counter in any way. Just my humble opinion.

In my opinion, if a name gets petitioned the devs should look at that name and decide whether to ban it and not the components of the name. A prime example would be a name that contained any color that can be used to describe a skin tone (black, white, red, brown, yellow...etc). These words are absolutely harmless but I dare anyone to address someone at their job by saying the color of their skin before their name. I'll bet they'll be playing CoH a lot more, at least until the unemployment runs out.
Also, a name may have an alternate meaning but be completely appropriate for a character. For example, a while back I made a plant/plant defender who was clinically insane and I wanted to name her Wacky Weed. I didn't even think about the drug reference, I just thought it would have fit her perfectly. Maybe if I put the two words together, I would have been able to use it. Then I'm sure someone would have complained about it and it would have gotten banned because the dev wouldn't have investigated the name, read the character's bio (which would have explained everything) but just gotten rid of it to make one person happy. -

I'm unable to change the FSAA setting. That and all of my Ultra settings say N/A after them even though I have Ultra Mode enabled. Any other suggestions?

I don't think I'm having the same problem as the OP but my graphics have also taken a hit with the new patch download. My performance is still the same but graphically the game looks pretty bad. Where I used to have great shading and beautifully rendered graphics I now have bland coloring and pretty basic graphics. If this was back when the game first came out (I remember those days well) then I would just accept it but I have seen how the game can look and I want that look back. By the way, my computer is a little more than a year old (Dell Inspiron 530s) and I opted to use a 32" tv for my monitor. It ran nicely and looked beautiful until the patch.

So is this the reason I was getting only 249 xp from a boss 3 levels above me in an AE mission (which had only bosses in it) and got 3600 xp for a Tank Swiper my level in the streets of Brickstown? I got more xp from killing same level minions than I did for killing those bosses.

I had the "back" and "middle" spawn location problem in the City (industrial) map for an arc I made yesterday. I am also having a problem with the ally I've created. Since the arc has 8 bosses and 1 Elite Boss (or Arch Villain depending on your mission toughness setting)that must be defeated, I put her in as a healer but she keeps disappearing on me only to appear somewhere else on the map. Its not so bad that she does this but she only does it during boss fights it seems. Kind of annoying since the boss fights are reason that she's there.

So far I'm the only member but that could be because I don't actively seek members, although I've seen quite a few heros that would make nice additions.
