I had this same issue with not being able to verify a few years ago. I tweaked everything I could think of w/o success. What worked was removing the game and doing a fresh install, not my first choice really considering I had no disc. I simply started the dl and went to bed. lol

Quote:My plant dom loves his ST hold, a nice mag 10 hold in one shot w/ domination and if procs all fire. I actually skipped the pet on plant with my dom, he provides almost no damage to doms. I did however take the pet on my plant controller. You ever see a dom w/o their ST hold, just point and laugh.Plant dominators can usually find that holds arn't too important when everything is perma-confused.

Quote:A reflection of the people you choose to team with or server perhaps? I'm on Infinity, I've never seen an SoA w/o Maneuvers, Tactics is less needed endgame and SoA builds are generally tight. So yah...90% of the SoA I run into or team with dont have that>.< Is there some sort of conspiracy?? T_T Its in virtue server btw
I've got 3 SoAs at 50, all have at least maneuvers. My Huntsman has all TT and the Leadership pool as well. He was built for support though, my Bane and Widow only have TT: Maneuvers. -
I would prefer the current Mass Confusion + Confuse proc to a PBAoE confuse. Mass confuse can be used w/o being seen, would this version alert foes?
I'll also need to mention that mez auras usually have low mag, low duration, and low accuracy standard. World of Confusion, Cloak of Fear, and Oppressive Gloom are evidence of this.
Telekinesis while not popular is still a better choice then the above considering Mind is abundant with control options.
Quote:Making enemies pets has been asked for in the past and declined. Reason being either the MM would be too powerful or too weak. Also MMs need their pets to really advance w/o problems. Whats done if the MM cannot control the target? Mastermind denotes mastery of ones minions, it doesn't mean they can force "control" anything they want. That would make them doms or controllers.Actually, it might be possible to do something kind of like what you're asking for (but easier) by essentially turning the target into a pet and giving you mastermind pet controls over it. It wouldn't be exactly what you're asking for, but those sorts of controls are already implemented in the game, and we already have the ability to turn an enemy into an NPC, so turning one into a pet might not be too much harder. -
Possibilities are endless really, khelds were two ATs which transformed into creatures with unique powers. SoA were two ATs that broke down into several subclasses. (Yes I believe Huntsman and Widow Hybrids deserve their own respect)
Granted I haven't honestly spent much time Praetoria side, I do however have an idea. As the years of this game as gone on, customization has improved greatly. Why not create a customized AT, take Clockwork and expand their base. In a sense, building your very own robot drone.
Have a set secondary to create some balance, but give choices to the primary. For each of the nine power choices simply have a drop box that lets you choose from 4 or more choices. Defining what goes into each drop box will keep tiers in balance with other ATs in the game.
For example, the Tier 1 power choice could have say four blast powers. The Tier 2 could have 2 Blast 2 Holds for example. (Of course the powers in general depend on the design team).
As an example.
Tier 1 Choices:
A. Charged Bolts
B. Flares
C. Power Bolt
D. Shriek
Tier 2 Choices.
A. Lightning Bolt
B. Fire Blast
C. Tesla Cage
D. Char
Being able to keep only one, but being able to change your choices at a tailor. Of course the choices I hope would be more diverse, my example was kept small for sanity sake. I personal think this would be a lot of fun, plus bring something unique to the game. -
Mind is one of my favorite control sets in the game, my Mind/Nrg dom is simply amazing. Perma-dom seriously brings a lot to the mind set
No real comment on your idea, but a question really. What would you suggest they remove from the set? I've seen several builds in my years here and I've seen people who enjoy every power. For my dom currently I don't have Levitate and Telekinesis, I enjoy all the other powers. But I know controllers use levitate because they lack damage in their secondary. Telekinesis helps in certain situations, I skipped it because of end cost and with domination I've had no real need. To ask for a 10th choice would just open up a can of worms, even an alternate in one of the nine would cause complaints. -

I prefer Superspeed myself, my main account can skip the prereq. My second account still has a few years to go for the vet reward. I take hasten on all my toons however so it works out. :P
You get spoiled by the speed TBH, when on other MMOs, me and other friends often mention we miss SS from city. -
Quote:We told them, perhaps not enough time to change. Its possible the dom version was fine on test as well.I understand the change to..but..WHY did they even add PFF in the first place, when it was clearly a duplicate power? Way to shoot yourself in the foot. And isn't it obvious that if you change troller pff, which I would assume is linked (kinda) to dom pff..that you then go and CHECK the dom pff is ok?

Same issue here, please fix asap, my speed team doms live off this power.

AoE hold, 4xBasGaze + Lockdown Proc
ST Hold, 4xBasGaze + Lockdown & Devastation proc.
Those are my preferences. -
I built my Huntsman for support, all TTs and Leadership powers. Never heard my character put down by a crab, I mostly get "thanks for the tohit and extra 30% damage".
As long as you're having fun, its your 15 bucks. -

Quote:Take CJ And slot some KB protection.Same here, i had a nice concept....too bad my Dominator has better resistance than my brute...wtf!!!
I guess /FA was meant to F ppl over, or maybe there is a retard at NC Soft with a huge ego (that is probably it).
Anyway, I will never touch nor recommend that set to anyone ever again. It has no KB protection and you need to use burn for immobilization protection, so you can't use it offensively like the set was supposed to be used. lol, you can't do crap offensively as you get crushed by all the alpha strikes since you have zero defense and low resistances.
/FA should be a blaster secondary or for some other AT but definitely not for scrappers and brutes....unless you like to die a lot.
Seriously are you high? SS/Fire Brutes are well known redside farmers and thats farming Nemesis btw. My SS/Fire and DM/Fire rarely die, things die before they have the chance. Yea if you just stand there, FA would be the first to drop. But my FA brutes can kill faster then my other brutes, which negates the dying part.
My SM/EA Brutes is softcapped to everything except psi, which gives it the same hole as FA. Except he's still softcapped, so getting pounded is rare unlike FA. My /EA can stand longer in a group then my /FA.
All the sets are fine, some not up to the standards of other sets granted. But it comes down to build and playstyle. If only one playstyle was meant, there'd only be one set and one AT. -
Quote:I couldn't resist either, my Necro/Thermal is named "Disco is Dead". He is a zombie in a yellow suit with a large afro. I named his pets after dead dico stars, his shields and powers are multicolored. What could be better than flaming zombies!
Ok, I couldn't resist. Thermal should be very good with Necro, but Dark is also very good. I have also done Poison for a more single target build and Storm for ultimate chaos.
Burn, Baby Burn, Zombie Inferno lol -
Quote:Yep drop a hold proc in PGT for pretty cages, sadly damprocs near useless now. -.- ( yes, I'm still swore about the PGT change )I've found that /traps can be AMAZING in teams -- if the team is able to get their head around the idea that the weak little mastermind with "low" hit points is running in and toe-bombing.
Seeker drones, poison gas trap... As someone commented, "seeker drones turn alphas into lolphas". -
-
I have a /Traps and /Storm at 50, currently raising a /Thermal. Many say dark and I strongly disagree, the heal radius of dark is gross on MM. (Spoiled from my defender)
IMO my Thermal has the best potential out of my 3 Necros. With pet procs and shields, you close off a lot of holes zombies have. Doesn't have as many debuffs as dark, but can make for sturdier pets.
Anything works really, only combo I would advice against if you're new to the AT is /Trick Arrow. Make a few mixes, feel them out a bit before you decide. All MM combos do NOT play the same as with other ATs. -
Teaming as a MM can be a pain depending on the team. The pbase is more knowledgeable these days, so you might not experience what I mean. Your pets are your mitigation, your team is your mitigation. On strong teams focus your secondary on supporting your team first your pets second. If you find your teaming lacking in strength, focus on your pets first your team second. With enough practice you'll be able to do both w/o really thinking.
The reason I state what I did was on strong teams, they can steamroll missions faster than your pets. On weaker teams, your pets can keep you standing and help clear mobs. This will enable you to get your team standing again, using your pets as a distraction really.
As far as best combo for solo/team, play whats fun, I have 5 level 50 MMs. They all play completely differently, so it depends on your combo. All MMs should be able to solo w/o any trouble, the only growing pain is level 18-24. This is because of the way enemies scale, you'll have 3 tier 1 pets at -2 and one tier 2 pet at level. This hurts some combos more then others, not sure what you decided on.
Just ask if you have any questions on certain combos you find interesting. -
Where did you look? When I google vidiots, badge hunter, etc, I was getting the host website.
Edit: Nvm, sites back up -
Can't seem to find an overlay for i18, the site seems to be down. Anyone got info on whats up?
