For a big enough pile of money, yes, they will.

You know who has a big pile of money?

Valve.

What if Valve just straight up bought the IP and engine? They have a huge pile of money.

Assuming they did...

Think about it.

We'd be on Steam. There would be better support, the entire dev team would probably be re-hired, we'd have all the new players from Steam, and we'd have the backing of one of the least evil game companies out there. We'd eventually get CoH2 out of it (but not CoH3), and we would get a better merch store and more developers. Maybe even a better engine (over time).

City of Heroes was PROFITABLE.

Valve has no reason not to try.

Everyone, email Valve. If you know someone who works there, beg them to ask. If you work there yourself, think of how much you love this game, and how much everyone would love you if you singlehandedly saved the saviors.

I may not be an art person, but I can offer webdev work for free. I would be happy to develop UIs, too. I can throw around a mockup in as little as a day, I would also be up for getting an established website up for this project.

Hi. I was the girl at the iD Programming Academy Q&A session at Mythic who asked the art director about how WLs got their stupid hats.

You all mentioned CoH. Hell, you all mentioned Virtue.

I don't care if you remember me. I don't care if you don't post.

Just remember:

Lord Omi thinks everything you do is awesome. There is a person out there who bought all of the posters, who played WAR religiously, and who thinks you guys are one of the best developers I have ever seen. That person is me. I love you guys. I waited a long time on Virtue to find you, and always had this dream of someone I've helped mention casually their place of employment.

You guys are awesome, Mythic.
