The game failed to start on last attempt

Current system requirements a NVidia GeForce 2 or better, ATI Radeon 8500 or better, or an Intel GMA 900 or better.

So if I click yes or no, the City of Heroes loading bar is just stuck there. The task commander says it is responding but it just sits there and sits there.

I recently built a new computer(the one I'm trying to play on) and it has worked in the past. In fact I could play on max settings with an average of 35 fps. But now, when I want to log in to say my goodbyes and take screenshots, it doesn't even start up. I haven't changed my system settings at all and I do KNOW that my drivers are up to date. I have tried multiple times.

Anyways, my specs are:

I5 2500k
Radeon 7870
8gb ram
I think that's all the important stuff? Let me know if you need more info! Thanks, hopefully I can get this sorted out.

I haven't been doin' this for a while, so bear with me....

You'll need to post up a CoH Helper log, perhaps a Hijack This log, and maybe, just maybe a... dang it... what was that one I used to do? Sigh... been so dang long... Oh, yeah, a DXDiag report! Yeah...

Of the latter two, CoH Helper will put that information in it.

And DO NOT use code. Just plop it directly from the report into the post and post it, individually.

We'll see what we can do. I'll check in later.

But... yeah, even though you may have the latest drivers, they can still be borked, so it might be worth a try to completely remove them via safe mode, then reinstall them one more time.

Thanks all. There was a lot of anecdotal information about conflicting apps, configurations, cranky graphic driver versions etc. that official support doesn't have in their database/help script, that only someone who hangs here I read every post of every thread may remember. Tech gurus here never had their own wiki consolidating this stuff. To late now.

I would like to give a shout out to Zloth (Sloth) who wrote not only CoHHelper but the demo recording launcher that bears his name that enabled many a machinima video. He hasn't been around on the forum since the Jan 2011 and I hope he realize how much these utilities helped.
