If any, this gathering showed people are still interested in getting together outside of Pocket D and RPing. Every RP event I have seen on Virtue in close to 7 years has had some sort of drama associated with it after it was over. It keeps people talking about the event and even encourages more to show up next time.

Nevermind, convinced myself. Looks like I got a project for double XP weekend.

I have not played Traps much, what is the appeal of it for those of you that love it? The idea of set up never appealed to me because of fast moving teams.
Convince me to be a Traps lover. -
Statesman clicks the most with me. Love his look. So classic and heroic. A close second would be Synapse. All the Villain patrons are not all that great but if I had to choose one it would be the Sand Dude.

Perhaps they were participating in the OOC portion of this IC/OOC meet up?

I need to get in on this sometime. My main and pretty much sole toon I play is a tanker.

I wouldn't mind seeing Merit Vendors with updated looks and moved into stores of something similar. Such terrible looking NPCs.

Quote:You are probably going to attract a bunch of posters who are going to tell you about the damage potential of your empath and that you are ignoring large part of your character by not taking more attacks.I came back to playing an empath I made a very long time ago yesterday, and was suddenly reminded how much I really enjoy playing that type of support role. Keeping the team alive and moving along was a lot of fun, but then something happened later last light. Between missions someone said to me "Great heals, but why ice?" I initially took ice for the minor protection Ice would give to me in a crunch, but clearly this was lost on this person.
So I began to wonder, as an Empath, my biggest job is healing and buffing, right now at lvl 26 I only have 2 attacks from Ice. So does secondary really matter? Did I somehow gimp my character by taking ice?
I say, do what you enjoy. If you like healing and buffing and not so much attacking then whatever your secondary you choose is good enough. However, if you wanted a secondary to compliment your primary (heals/buff) I would go with a secondary with some good debuff potential to help your team. Ice has good slows but I would have went with dark (great -hit debuff) or rad (-def). I have also seen some /Sonic Empaths with primarily heal/buff builds that help alot.
Good luck with your toon and have fun! -
That is actually a good point. F2P don't have access to IOs either, if I recall correctly. I suppose that is incentive for a F2P player to purchase VIP status if they want to be anything more than vengence bait in PvP.

Make it for the Droid and I would buy it. I used the Mobile Armory and Mobile Auction House from WoW when I played it and loved using it. I would use a Mobile Market and Costume Creator App.

I agree, it is a pretty small detail in a long list of graphic issues to address. I would think it was pretty cool when they do get around to it, but it does not make or break the game for me.

Quote:Oh you will get no arguement from me that a Tanker is the best at the role of tank. But that role can be picked up by a well built and played scrapper, brute, defender or Mastermind (perhaps not as well though). But a Tank is actually an AT. They're literally called Tankers. Though "Brutes" often take their jobs in which case they're filling the role of the "meat shield" but the tank is quite literally the job of the Tanker.
It's not like there's an Archetype called "Healer" just archetypes who can heal. In that respect everyone is like a Brute. You may call a Brute a "Tank" but Brutes are not "Tanks"
Actually Brutes are like some weird mix of Brute and Scrapper. They have high HP like a Tanker though lower than a Tanker still higher than everyone else in the game. But they also do DMG and fight more like a Scrapper. My Dual Blades/Willpower Brute and Scrapper almost have the exact same build except that their Patrons are different as the Scrapper gets the same Patron powers as a Stalker. I'm also getting different Incarnate powers for each of them so it's less like playing the same character with a different inherent power.
The point I was attempting to make is one should not assume all defenders are healers when a corruptor, controller or mastermind can pick up the role as well. -
Very impressive!

Looks nice, but I would love it if they would put some design effort into more patterns for spandex/tights costumes. Just done with the flashy armor.

Great marketing idea. I got mine.
