If it spawns on exitting the mission, how do you control what zone he spawns in (for instance, how did you expect to spawn him in SC when I'm certain that the mission isn't located there).

And the monster Islands, where the monsters are MUCH closer together.

So there's no hope for Hover then

Afterhours? What makes you think that they were doing it after hours?!?
He did it on company time, instead of working on Issue 7!!!
I for one am outraged!
...and not at all surprised that Kronos owned -
Well, having played the demo at gencon I can say this. The system is fast, flexible, and fairly simple. Roll a d10 + accuracy of the attack your using. See how well you hit vs. their defense to determine if you get bonus damage. add the damage of your attack to the bonus damage from accuracy and subtract it from their hit points.
Thugs went down so easy we felt bad for them (not very nice to torch a guy with a plasma blast for 2 or 3 times his HP). Real badguys were tougher but with teamwork and inspirations we won.
Powers seemed modelled well, and things looked like they scaled well. -
My guess is that only women will be able to join the Blood Widows.
And I'd hope that other than the Blood widow helmet being female only that anyone could use the other three. -
A summary of my testing.
My lower level blasters(<15): Love it
My higher level blasters(>20): No noticable effect
It needs to kick in sooner. Say around 60-75% and/or provide other types of mitigation (resistances (say capping at 35%), recharge, defense (against capping at like +25%), more accuracy(Yay! I'm doing triple damage I've got 10% health I might just win...miss...dead...oh well).
I did find that even with my low level blasters who could feel the effects I was much happier with a full health bar than better damage.
BTW, if you can't tell. Love the idea but the numbers need some tweaking. -
???
I come on this forum thinking I'd get the latest scuttlebutt on I5 and I'm greeted with this nonsense?!?
I hate to use a cliche but It's A Game People!
How can you even think that it's some sort of comment on religion. How many bajillion other games, books, and movies borrow stuff completely inaccurately from one mythology or another. At this point in time in the world mythology is mostly just a source of cool names and story ideas (at least for fiction writers anyway).
/em Goes and looks for rumors elsewhere. -

That sounds like the system isn't final yet in July, but they're gonna try to push it out by August anyway . . . pretty scarry.

I imagine they are pushing to get it out for GenCon Indy. August 19th I believe.
If it's just to polish rough spots that usually doesn't mean any system rewrites, just some clarifications here and there.
Did anyone ask if there was going to be a source book with each online Issue? -
I was hoping for a non-level system too. Maybe Security level is just a rating. To help GMs figure out what sort of things the players have access to and so forth (please please. I hope I hope?)
If not, is there a "Core" Unisystem book I can get? From the various demos I found on the Eden Studio web site all the systems *seemed* fairly different to me. -
Origins has been over for a couple weeks now, and the thread I'd been hoping would start for me hasn't, so here goes.
The CoH RPG from Eden Studio was run at Origins. Some of you had to be in those games, can we get some details? I for one am wanting to know if I should order it or not. -
My understanding is that ArenaNet is basically all the Blizzard old school talent that made as popular as they are today.
I'll probably get Guild Wars, but it will be just like me getting any other video game. Since there's no subscription fee I can pick it up and put it down at will. Case in point, I spent most of last week playing Deus Ex again. It's five years old, but that RPG "distracted" me from CoH for a week. Did it replace it, no. If I reinstalled Diablo would that replace CoH, no.
Anyway. that's my 2 cents. -
Doing half debt for 5-10 is pointless. The amount of debt you get at those levels is so small, you barely noticed it.
He's try to encourage people to do door missions. So why not have it so that the more successive door missions you do, better your mission bonus is. Not sure how this would work. Probably have something to do with the ratio of time indoors to outdoors and how long you've been logged on or something. That way your countering debt, and actually rewarding people for doing missions (instead of being easier with the punishment). -
Looking at Vyvyanne two thoughts spring to mind. Why no Flight and Presence pools? and how does she slot her powers?
-
They seem to be doing this at least in part. The newest contest is for music. You don't think theres a good chance we'll end up with winning submissions on our boomboxes or hear them as we travel around town?

1)Buyable temporary powers
2)More jackets
3)Long dresses
4)Logos on capes
5)Better organized contacts
6)More information in the Find/SG/Friends list (level, primary, secondary)
7)More simultaneous missions (3 is just too few)
8)A way to cancel mission (voluntary failure)
9)More branching storyarcs (a few already do this)
10)Customizible powers (at least the colors)
11)(and here's an unpopular one) more failible missions & shorter timers.
