Is there some trick to making these show up? I've seen them on the map when it is someone else's mission, but when it is mine I never see them. Final hostage I can't find - nothing... missed patrol on someone else's defeat-all - sure no problem markers work fine... missed hall and a spawn on my defeat-all mission - nothing.

What am I doing wrong? I can't find an option to turn it on/off. Do you have to actually have exposed the area on the minimap? Both of my examples above were in an unexplored room or hall. But even when I entered the area (allowing the enemies to beat on me while I cleared it on the map) the markers never did show up.

This is something I'd really love to have working.

Ok, I have been pulling my hair out over this for a long time now (pre-i17). The symptom is that my sound starts getting scratchy, graphics start getting jumpy, and then the system locks up (have to power down). Most of the time the screen freezes, sometimes I get a black screen with colored stripes, rarely I get a BSOD 0x101 (A clock interrupt was not received on a secondary processor in the allocated time interval) although the exact BSOD message has been different those were what I got the last few times.

Since this started happening I've installed and uninstalled a couple of virus detection programs (currently using avast!), I've updated my ATI drivers to 10.4, I've updated my on-board sound drivers, disabled my on-board sound card through BIOS (although I still see it listed) and installed a usb sound device, updated the drivers for that, updated the drivers for my network card, turned off all non-microsoft startup programs (although I've turned a few back on since that test), and even limited my CPU to 1 core.

This only happens in CoH although I admit that is what I mainly do on the computer.

This only started happening in the last 2 or 3 months and I hadn't updated or installed anything that I'm aware of prior to that. I'm really afraid this is a hardware issue but no idea what (CPU?). I've tried downloading the memory dump analyzer program from Microsoft but it tells me my files don't match or something odd. I don't really want to re-install Windows but I'm about down to that point.

I see a bunch of "unknown" entries in the helper. Was I supposed to run that while COH was running? If so I'll redo it later. Thanks for any help or pointers.

I don't believe the filters will do the job of stopping RMT spam in this case. They either haven't figured it out yet or haven't bothered to go back to using e-mail. At any rate, some limit is needed until the filters are modified to work properly with the new system.

Follow Up? I'm Dual Blades so Blinding Feint is the place to put it. Or is that what you meant?

Now that I know what to look for I see it fire off 2-4 times per average length mission. I got it once today while fighting Neuron which was a real help since he was a +4 AV for me. I suspect I'd be better off with a to-hit buff instead but I haven't decided yet.

In case anyone is curious, I finally found it. The only indication you get that it went off is a little line in the Combat chat that says "Your attack strength has increased temporarily" and the attack buff goes up by 100%. I played her for about an hour last night (first chance I had) and it went off 3 times according to the log although I only saw it twice. Not great but probably worthwhile.

Thanks for the replies and the idea to monitor the attack buff. I had assumed there would be some sort of Build-Up-esque SFX but nothing so grand.

Besides the enhancement screen and the AH screen level text, the ear-phone text from the new contacts are also unreadable in the chat box. Not from font-size but from the color. The red or gray fade-to-black color of the text means you can only see the top half of the letters. If you miss the chat bubble you have no idea what was said or at least I didn't. We complained a lot about that in the beta forums too.

Note: I'm not really complaining about issue 17 going in too early. I thought it was pretty solid in beta and I'm not having the killer issues some others seem to have. I'm just surprised sometimes by what is considered important enough to fix or even new stuff to add versus stuff that slips into live despite numerous complaints. The unreadable text and missing costume / shield parts seemed like pretty important things to me. But then I'm not a dev for COH.

I ran 4 radio missions (level 35) last night blue-side. I got 4 temp power recipes (Jet Pack, Gabriel's Hammer, the Taser, and a Revolver). I suppose I *might* have had the Hammer pre i17 but I don't think so.

I like that they are dropping a lot more often but then I've always been a temp-power addict. I went ahead and crafted the taser just to play around with it but sold off the others.

Multiple tailor issues. See open beta Tailor Bugs thread for an excellent rundown on exactly what is missing (including the Buns hairstyle).

Scrapper Regeneration Integration shows no visual effects at all although the startup animation plays fine and the power does work, just no ongoing visual. I assume other variants have the same issue but I only have one character with regen.

My wife got a headache last night from taking off her glasses and putting her nose on her screen to read the levels. She has declared that she won't be playing again until it is "fixed".

I'll be a very sad husband if they aren't going to increase the size of those fonts and quickly. A mouse-over solution is not a solution as far as I'm concerned because you can't quickly scan your enhancements for old inventions that need replacing.

Confirming problem with Integration on Regen scrapper has no visual effects aside from the tarzan yell when you start it. It is set for Bright custom color right now but in the tailor none of the options showed. I didn't actually change it to see if it made a difference.

Or, here's an idea, use a bigger font. Actually both would be good.

I can deal with it but my wife can't read hers at all and she's very upset. Everyone I know has asked me about it tonight. It really needs to be changed as soon as possible.

There was a rumor going around that all items would get deleted from the AH when i17 went live. I'd say between people putting stuff back and everyone just wanting to play with the new interface, there is bound to be lag.

How did you answer the "Use Ultra Mode or..." dialog at log-in? Maybe you need to check out your graphics selections. I'm recommending to my friends to cancel out of that and experiment with the new graphics a little at a time.

Got the gold title on my namesake character on Justice in Talos. Got 3 villain AV badges which was cool but as time went on the lag got worse and after 3 crashes I called it quits. So I went over to Protector to play.

I haven't bothered to time my attack chains but it's probably less often than every 10 seconds. I usually alternate between Empower and Weaken combos with One Thousand Cuts/sweeps thrown in after an empower if I can get multiple targets in the cone or really really need to knockdown everything around me for the mitigation. So a minimum of 5 attacks between Feints but often more.

Justice Fencer dinged 43rd over the weekend so I don't have a lot of power/slot choices left. I'm not sure Tactics would be a good choice for me. She already has endurance problems in big teams that can't provide a recovery buff (she is fine solo unless fighting an elite boss with a swarm of boss protectors - I'm looking at you Hro'Dtohz - but man what an epic fight that was ).

I'll search my logs and see if I can find where it went off and put the damage buff in my monitor box for future reference.

Anyone with more money than I could imagine making is obcenely rich. Or were you talking in-game? Doesn't matter, still applies.

I'm beginning to think I should have left the to-hit buff in there.

I slotted Gaussian's Synchronized Fire Control: Chance for Build Up on my scrapper about 2 weeks ago. I put it in my Dual Blade's Blinding Feint attack. I execute the attack often as part of the Empower compination and have never noticed an extra "Build Up."

Does it notify you somehow when you get the Build Up? If not how can you test that it is working?

BTW: I just noticed that the wiki doesn't list To-Hit Buffs as an enhancement or set that Blinding Feint can slot.

An Ouroboros pack would be cool.

Steampunk/Victorian would be cool, complete with new period weapons.

Accessories - back options for fixed wings, tramp stamps, backpacks and quivers; shoulder options for necklaces and upper arm tattoos; glove options to add bracelets; lower leg options that add ankle bracelets. The human pack above would go well with this. I would actually rather these were added in small batches over time to the free game.
