We need to swim too though - like going to the Gungan city

I think we'll get a similar SG team task eventually, but maybe not the original CoP.

Just to let you know, Ouroboros is semi-co-op zone because both sides can acsess it. Although they can't see each other, they actually do pretty much the same stuff in there, except 3 TF's arent acsessable by villians.
Also, it's not the issues before, it's just the many of it recently.
[/ QUOTE ]
Semi co-op??? as in not co-op at all...
And the missions are completely different, ie villains do villain missions, heroes do hero missions, and both have completely different SF/TFs
[/ QUOTE ]
I'm not quite sure why Ouroboros has to be separated between the two sides - if contacts couldn't give out missions to both sides, then why not just make some of them Hero only, and some of them Villain only? -

You prefer to ask, but there, you demanded.

Which was rare

I like the part .. "allows gamers to participate without giving up half their lives." .. No-one told me this when i started playing!

Oddly enough, it's how I explain it to my friends - as "the game you can play without it eating your social life".

You text them that while you're playing?

Still To Do
- Shadow Shard
[/ QUOTE ]
Speaking of the Shadow Shard, a friend and I stumbled on the entrance last night, (yep, we didnt even know how to get there before this.) and we really loved it. A whole set of different monsters to fight, a few hours spent playing with the portals and the grav geysers, and some new stories to read.
Im very glad we found it.
[/ QUOTE ]
It's a really beautiful area, but I wish there was more in it

For some odd reason, I find myself liking Boomtown alot
[/ QUOTE ]
I like the look of the place, there's just not a lot of reason to go there.
It needs to be revamped into a co-op zone, with Reichsman as the big threat in the final TF (he's supposedly still imprisoned in stasis in the vaults of the old pre-Rikti War Freedom Phalanx base in Boomtown)
[/ QUOTE ]
And make a gigantic Clockwork nest there, almost like a mini-city, with assembly lines and the machines they use for melting down and reforging the scrap they collect. -

So creating one side only content annoys the playerbase?
I must have missed a lot, then. Last time I checked most player's didn't have a problem with that.
[/ QUOTE ]
One or two Villain players were know to voice unrest from time to time at what they regarded as Hero-only Issuses, I think
[/ QUOTE ]
One or two isn't 'most of the playerbase'. Not that I take your post seriously, GG.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes, the "one or two" was a bit of an understatement
[/ QUOTE ]
No, it was the exact amount.

It was? I demand a datamine as proof. -

I think this is a known issue - it was mentioned on one of the MotDs, I think.

But surely reducing the effectiveness of an overpowered set will encourage those who don't have the set to PvP a bit more?
If you have a set that's starting to dominate PvP, then while that will encourage some more hardcore types to work hard on finding a way to counter it, it'll also discourage the more casual PvPers who'll think it's unbeatable.
It might seem like fun to own a zone and chase off almost everyone else, but after a while, all you're left with is an empty zone, and the zones are the most important way of attracting new PvPers.
[/ QUOTE ]
You got the wrong end of the stick, i was commenting on the fact that pvp zones are empty, and the balanced team pvp people keep going on about isnt very easy to come by.
[/ QUOTE ]
But if EM won't be so effective solo anymore, won't that encourage teaming?
The more powerful solo sets you have, the less likely you are to get teams. -
Well, they've lessened this, but increased the efectiveness of MA, so melee is more even

How about a villain-esque co-op zone where the heroes have to help do "bad things" for a change? I can't think why at the mo, but I'm sure someone here can...
[/ QUOTE ]
That would be a no-no

[ QUOTE ]
OK, I'm tired of having every issue a new co-op zone. It might just be me, but it's kinda annoying that the game is no longer becoming individual. We should not be spending lots of time working with the other side, I am not saying co-op is bad, it is just becoming overused.
So please take a few issues' break, NC. Most MMOs don't have co-op at all. If people really want to spend time with the other side, why don't they merge the games?
I am sorry for my little rave, but it's getting annoying now.
[/ QUOTE ]
You can exclude the other side from your teams in co-op zones if you don't trust them

But dont you think higher leveled players doing higher elvel content will go to Talos anyway, since its easier access and not be in Atlas regardless.

GG has a newbie bias - she thinks we should all be adopting newbies
[/ QUOTE ]
Not adopt, just be there for them if they need it
[ QUOTE ]
Personally when I log into a new MMO and someone immediately singles me out and starts asking if there's anything I need then sure, it's nice I guess, but it also freaks me out a bit - but then I am a bit of a cynic so my first thought is to wonder what their angle is, what they want from me, and why they can't leave me the heck alone to work out the game myself because that's one of the most fun times in an MMO for me
[/ QUOTE ]
A few months back, it took me almost half an hour to get a newer player to use me for an inf swap he wanted to do - he'd tried something similar in another game, and had all his stuff stolen - he thought all MMOs were the same

Welcome to the forums

There's still PvP on the Euro servers, but it seems to be a more organized thing - it's not so easy to just turn up in a PvP zone and find a fight, I think. -

Maybe make Pocket D less of a nigthclub and more of a transdimensional area like the city of Sigil in Planescape?
Give DJ Zero a makeover, and make him a more shadowy controller of the area, and replace the Longbow and Arachnos guards with his own guards.
Keep the nightclub as it is, but move it to one side, and have the main area you enter first from the elevators be the place where the zone portals are.
[/ QUOTE ]
omg, this is an excelent addition to the idea!
keep the 'down stairs' as it is, let the elevators come up to a hub, shops to the left, club to the right, Vanguard office and Midnight office there too...
and zOMG! maybe even the auction houses there too, with crafting possibilities.... people'd be in there most of the time!
[/ QUOTE ]
I think the auction house might keep too many higher level avatars away from the lower level zones, which I think wouldn't be so good, as it's nice for newer players to have more experienced ones to help them with questions or other stuff, especially in Kings Row and Atlas Park, where new players really are totally new.
But having DJ Zero as the controller of a transdimensional hub would set him up as a rival to Nemesis, who seems to be the unchallenged transdimentional master right now, which would make for some interesting new story possibilities.
I'd alo like it if they Made DJ Zero a mobile contact - so he'd drift/float/hover around the entire area, observing the comings and goings (it'd be a programmed patrol path, like the Longbow in Atlas Park and Kings Row).
