I haven't really been in-game very much these last couple of months.
I've had other demands on my time (work, Team Fortress 2, my newly rediscovered desires for Warhammer 40,000 tabletop gaming) and whilest I really, really enjoyed the Omega Sektor event, I think those three solid (ha ha! team solid reference!) days of gaming were just a bit too much for me and I just couldn't get motivated to spend a lot time saving/dooming Paragon City after that.
I cancelled my US account recently, but I'm not cancelling this account - I have every intention of lurking and maybe occasionally venturing into the game, but I think for the next few months I'll sit things out.
I will, however, be back. The city clearly can't look after itself, and one night when criminals think they're safe to lurk in alleys and punch their fist into their cupped hand, they will taste the bitter flavour of justice as I crash back into the City.
But for now, this isn't a goodbye - just think of it as au revoir.
