GhostRaptor, you said on the Maestro Card thread "I hope to have further news to share with all of you who use Maestro soon" - don't you think you should balance that lack of info with more info on offline rewards?

The cave maps don't quite make me physically sick, but I must admit I find them quite disorienting. I tried First Person and also quite close up to the back of my characters' heads but I find that I end up ducking - WHAT!?! Why are you all looking at me like that? Don't you?
[/ QUOTE ]
Well, I sometimes lean to one side to try and see around a corner in-game
-
Or even just give us a very broad hint - like is it spin-off stuff, or actual in-game stuff?

Does Imperious task force Romulus got anything to do with the founder of Rome Romulus and Remus?
[/ QUOTE ]
No, the historical inspiration for ITF Romulus was Romulus Augustulus , the last emperor of Rome.
[/ QUOTE ]
Reading that, it seems like it was just about the name only that they used

Villains need more machiavellian schemes and dirt evil tasks as befits their Destined One/Arachnos status, not to be the sidekick of some cowl-clad fool
[/ QUOTE ]
Heroes may not enjoy working with evil types too
And it's also harder to create evil missions, because major Villain successes would alter the game world, whereas major Hero successes preserves what we have. -

it's not really offtopic
we have nothing to do but speculate as you won't tell us
so they are coming up with idea's about getting it out of you

We need a subtle approach to try and trick him.
GhostRaptor, what are the offline rewards? -
[ QUOTE ]
Brutes are what scrappers aim to be.

But with so much more sophistication and style

It's just that the Nemesis seems to have evolved in the devs thinking - at the start, I don't think his faction was supposed to be anything more than the Carnies - an exotic, whacky faction you encounter later on in the game.
From what I can see, it looks like the devs started out with one huge magical group (CoT), one huge military group (5th Column/Council) and one huge Alien group (Rikti) with all the other groups being limited to lower, medium or higher levels of the game.
But then they introduced Arachnos, who are like an upgraded 5th Column/Council - and now Nemesis is being given a much bigger part to play, even though his faction wasn't, I don't think, ever intended to be such a major threat when it was first designed. -
I wonder if they'll ever make lower level Nemesis Army mobs, now that he sems to be emerging as a much more powerful and important enemy?
Rikti start at around 5-6 (technically
), but Nemesis soldiers aren't seen until much later.

This suggests that the new issue teaser is either close or it's a really big issue.
[/ QUOTE ]
Could be both

As for issue 13 i just hope when it comes it gives us some much needed pvp and base content and not yet more zones that have nothing much in them (I12) or maybe even some good solid content with something more to do with lvl 50s.
[/ QUOTE ]
Well, bases and base raids are going to be changed for sure - and I think that Cimerora might also get more content - maybe even using the huge TF maps - it seems a lot of effort to make those maps, and only have them used for one mission. -

Borderline badge - Cause 1 million points of damage with psionic powers or confuse effects.
[/ QUOTE ]
that would mean only a few power sets can have the badge....
[/ QUOTE ]
Well, the higher healing badges are quite tough to get if healing isn't the main thing you do

Issue 7 was an awful lot of effort, unfortunatly much of it misdirected. Half the delay way them trying to get the shifting scenery in RV to work properly, which today is greatly appreciated by the tumbleweeds...
[/ QUOTE ]
And me - the more moving stuff in the game the better
-
I don't remember anything wrong with I7 - I do remember the reflective windows though

[ QUOTE ]
I too have concerns regarding I13... I got the feeling with I12 there was a distinct move away from the classic superhero comicbook game with Cimerora, clearly trying to cash in on Frank Miller's 300 and the subsequent movie.
Whatever I13 brings I truly hope it doesn't depart from the basic tenets of the game. That said, I've enjoyed every issue from I8 onwards so let's hope things continue
[/ QUOTE ]
I don't think it was really "cashing in" - apart from the "defeat 300 enemies" and the Surgeons and Engineers being beefy men in leather diapers, there's no real connection at all - it doesn't try and recreate any part of the movie, or put you in a similar position to characters in the movie - it's just a couple of humorus verbal and visual references.
Mostly, it's just a logical follow up of the time-travel themed Issue 11, and the general game background, which is full of classical mythology stuff.
I'm hoping we get more time-travel in future Issues too, like visiting the Middle Ages or ancient Egypt. -

* The last 2 weeks or so the forums seem to have got angrier - I usually see this as a sign that it's been too long since the last update and we're due another.

I see it as a sign that people need to go otuside and enjoy the summer more

Oh yeah and my empath was driven mad by that team for the ITF, although GG seemed to have a perma rez/wakie/whatever. O.o I think I rezzed you once in all the debt fest that the TF became.
[/ QUOTE ]
Well, I keep making Awakens from spare insps, and that keeps me going between my self rez recharge time
And while the TF took a bit longer that the time quoted at the start, it was still lots of fun - even the high maintenance Mastermind added something to the experience
-
You can superspeed in the caves if you bounce yourself off the walls at the right angle.
-
I got a little bit of Inf, a litle bit of Prestige, and, best of all, I finally did the new TF for the first time - 4 of the team hit 50 on it too
-
Sand of MU for me - first, I prefer not to carry a weapon, and second, it has the same animation as Flurry, so I could respec out Flurry and still keep the cool animation

Let's just say the word 'offline' is meaningful

How meaningful?
