Quote:You just need to look at the "before" and "after" screenshots of Valor Bridge to know GR is made of 100% awesomeI've been looking at all of the stuff out there and I think I'll save my doom or cheers for at least beta when I can go test drive this expansion. An alpha preview is way too early to pass judgment on the final product.

I don't really have a character - my avatar is just a superpowered me - so I'll be staying on the light side

Actually, I think the CO perk requirements will be lowered once there's more content in the game - by adding a zero or two, which I think would have been a pretty quick thing to code, they managed to give players something to do and work on once they'd hit the level cap.

Quote:The reason that was discussed so much was because it's the part of GR that has the most questions with it - there's not nearly so much to talk about full side switching, because it's much simpler - once your MM has become a ful Hero, there's not much difference to any normal Hero - you'll have access to WW, fight on the blue side in PvP zones, do radio misisons, have the blue side contacts and so on.I was just meaning that for a natural/weapon based assualt set, it wouldnt really require you to create new powers, everything that needs to be sliced together is really in the game already.
This makes me feel better. But though i was sleepy, i dont recall hearing this in anything i have seen from hero-con yet. It just seemed to all be about playing the rogue or vigilante Archtypes (for lack of a better term i could think of). It made it sound, atleast to me, that a hero could fall to be a vigilante, but not truely a villian. But if what your saying is that i can infact say make my mastermind a true hero, then that makes me happier.
But the period where your MM is switching sides has way more questions with it - like access to the markets, what side you'll take in PvP zone, what contacts you can use and so on - which is why this part of the side switching process has been talked about way more. -

Dr HR, if you look carefully, you'll see the posts are not totally logical

All of them - you can pick any of the 10 standard ATs when you start off as a Praetorian - HEATs and VEATs can only be blue side and red side, but all the others can be used by Praetorians.

Quote:Well, they've already confirmed that they'll be expanding the current zone events, and making them more complex, so it's quite likely we'll be seeing this banner tech outside of HalloweenHaving collected all the new Supernatural Event badges on about twelve characters so far, I have to say I really love this new addition to the Halloween Event. Quite like the mechanics of it too, and wouldn't mind seeing similar additions elsewhere in the game.

I think it'll just be a case of the players chosing to help the current Villain contatcs or not - murdering contacts doens't seem to be a feature of GR

I think it was a mistake that they didn't do it when they did it.

Quote:I going to use Ouroboros to do every arc againI'll just put it this way.
The graphical update alone will make me feel like I'm playing an entirely new game. That's far more than I could ask for. The pistols, the demons, the new content is a great addition too, but DAMN are those graphics making me happy. I may not even make a new character until I finish exploring every zone!

Upgrade Hopkins, and have him pull off his rubber face mask to reveal a Praetorian Clockwork

Quote:Talking of PvP - I wonder how it will work with Rogues and Vigilantes? If they can access both sides, would that mean they could choose which side to fight on in the PVp zones? Or maybe they might still be flagged according to their starting side, like Vigilantes in Siren's Call could only fight on the blue side?Well. Trials of Atlantis was considered by many to be the start of DAoC's downfall.
It's somewhat a different thing though, it'd be like forcing everyone in CoH to do hardcore PvP in order to achieve the rumored 50+ content. They basically shoehorned high end hardcore raiding and PvE farming into a primarily PvP endgame. -
-
Well, as Rogues/Vigilantes can access both sides, it's been said they can be used like "gun runners" to carry phat lewt from one side to the other.
-
Anyone can switch sides - but there's a new third option to start off with, of being a neutral in Praetoria, but then chosing sides later one, around level 20.

I think it looks like the big ones can call in smaller soliders if they get into trouble - probably by TP from wherever their super secret janitor closet is located.

Something else I thought of looking at the video - it looks like the AE buildings were designed with the GR graphics update very much in mind, with all the glass they have in them.
