If anyone's not gotten an e-mail, you might still be available for the Dual Pistol closed beta.
To check, go to the first page of the CoH forum - not the English one, but the page that shows the English, French and German sections - if you're available for the closed beta, and it's set up the way the I14 closed beta was set up, then you should see the closed beta section right at the top of the page, just above the English section. -

Nice - my new computer has a pair of high-end ATIs, so I hope you can get Crossfire to work with UM

Something else I thought about the EATs unlock level dropping to 20 - right now, they're just about the only exclusive level 50 bonus/content in the game - but GR is bringing in an entire new endgame system, so the need to have EATs as the "perk" for hitting 50 will be replaced by something larger and more complex.

Evil is not fun

Quote:Well, something like Ninja run does seem to be a reaction to the acrobatic travel power in CO - and super sisdekicking seems to be inspired by the CO version too - but then CO seems to be copying the free content patch idea from CoH, so there's cross-game inspiration, which is only natural, as they're are both targeting comicbook fans as their main market.I laugh at how the CO fanbois assume that the dev team is taking ideas from CO now.

Although, when it comes to borrowing ideas, CO is in the weaker position - CoH is a stable, content-hevay game with a steady population, so a lot fo the hard work has already been done, and they can spend more time on cherry-picking the better CO ideas to use here, but CO still needs most of it's time spent on stabilizing the game, fleshing out the content, and retaining their subs, so they have less time to add new features. -

Quote:The MA is a unique feature of CoH, so continuing to develop it is a good move.More Architect stuff, huh?
Not to make a big complaint but I'd like to remind you that some of us never really cared about an Architect addition in the first place. But hey, an issue that's not really something I care about, I can overlook that.
For i14. But man, 15 16 and now 17 all have chunks of developer time dedicated to Architect as well? Is it blasphemy for me to suggest that you stop adding bells and whistles to the Mad Libs and try something different?
Again I know some people like it and I don't disparage that, but I'd like to suggest that "more changes to Architect" goes right up there with "power rebalancing" on the list of phrases the marketing department shouldn't be leaning on. -

That last one seems rather cruel

Cool, I didn't think it had been posted already. I figured if it had everyone would be all over it. LOL!

The news link you posted was spotted a little earlier today, and has gotten one or two responses so far

People have said that Villain ATs are easier to solo with, so that does make teaming a bit less frequent on the red side - Going Rogue might change things a bit once Hero ATs start turning up in the Rogue Isles - but until then, I'd suggest you join the main chat channel of whatever server you play on - they're the best way of finding teams, as well as general chat.

They've not said yet - my guess is that the base system overhaul will be quite a big feature of a future Issue.
We'll just have to wait and see

Quote:Talking of endgame content making us more powerful - I think some kind of enemy that could duplicate our powers would make pretty good opponents for newly enhanced 50syea could be what i was thinking of is the end game system if that suppose to make us more powerfully. so you would get suits that are alpha and omega. but either way still will not be happy or disappointed until i look at them.
of course that maybe a while lol

Quote:They're dropping it to 20 to unlock them - there won't be any new ones yet - but I'm guessing that there's a possibility there could be something Praetorian-related later.I17 is coming - WOO!
That said, I'm wondering what this means:
" Epic Archetypes now available at level 20"
Can we get a dev to clarify exactly what's going on here? Are we talking new EATs that open up at 20? Or are you dropping the required level to get the current ones down to 20? If the latter, that means I'll have access to both the Hero and Villain ones. It also means I'll probably never actually hit 50 with any character (which is fine, really).
So, yeah, clarification, please?
