I think it's a bit of a lost cause - not only are furries totally harmless, and have every right to play and enjoy this game as much as anyone else, but also, another game that's sort of similar to this one has quite a good selection of animal themed costume parts, so it really is a no-brainer to boost the amount we have here.

Quote:Castle is the thought of as the Hearld of the Nerf - any thread he starts is guaranteed to get 15 pages in the first 20 minutesI'm pretty sure the last time he started a 15 page thread, and he wasn't actually being burned in effigy within it, he had to steal a thread title, topic, thesis, and possibly a few words I just made up, from a thread I started back in 2005. The man has no shame.

Furries are totally harmless

All the ones I've met so far in the game have been normal polite, helpful people - they just seem to get way more of a bad rep for the weirder and extreme section of their community than other communities get for theirs. -
Quote:The poroblem is that the game is called "City of Heroes", so making the "pin-up" person be a Villain would be kinda weird - that's why Statesman is used way more the Recluse in promoting the game.Ghost Widow for Paragon Studios pin-up girl, Thanks.
Ms. liberty is a push-over.
Ms. Liberty just seems like the obvious choice for a female hero to represent the game. -
Quote:I think the character's fine - but a poster is more likely to be a visual thing rather than a personality thingWe talking the live girl or something composed of concept art? Cos the lass that plays her is gorgeous and, yes, her costume seems to get shorter every time I see her, but Ms Liberty the character has the sex appeal of a sack.

Just whip up a whole new engine on a whole new set of servers, port all the content, characters and zones over during server maintanence times and Voila!
Problem solved and no one's the wiser!
Now, as for the reality....

I think some things are still totally impossible in the current game - like running on walls, for example - there's just no way the game engine could handle that.

While there might not be any actual puzzles, I think GR will have more stealth stuff in it than we have in the game right now.
First, becasue that old NCSoft marketing survey mentioned a "spy AT" as part of the expansion pack that's become GR, so that even if the actual AT is dropped, it seems like stealth was going to be an important part of the expansion, and as almost every single thing mentioned in the survey has been added to the game, or is going to be added, I think it's very possible that some of the spy AT ideas will still be in GR.
Second, the whole Praetorian setting of GR is very well set up for spying or stealth activities, with infiltration by the Resaistance into Tyrant's city, or loyalists into the Underground being way more important to the overall storyline than anything we have in the game right now.
And third, the Shadowy Presence power that comes with the GR Complete Colletion gives you invisibility as long as you don't actually move from where you're standing - which seems like that might be times in GR when avoiding passing patrols is going to be important, rather than just fighting any enemies you run into. -
I think turning on the blender might be the thing that sets off the coming storm.

I think Desdemona wouldn't be so good for a poster, because she doesn't really look that comic-bookish - she could quite easily be from a fantasy game.
Maybe Ms. Liberty would be better? She has a way more eyecatching costume, and she looks like a superhero. -
Talking of Dark Astoria and Croatoa, do Villains have any magic/supernatural themed zones at all? because if they don't then that would be an obvious kind of zone to make.

Quote:I thought that was done for co-op teams to see which misisons were available to them? They introduced the Hero/Villain tags into missions a while ago. That ought to come into play for SOMETHING.
But if it's a GR thing, then maybe they're going to classify every contact/arc as either Hero, Vigilante, Rogue or Villain? -
Quote:I was meaning the dark, creepy lookFalse. The Rogue Isles do not have a Halloween feel to them, nor do they have any of the Croatoan foes.

And I know they don't have the Croatoa factions, because I've helped quite a few Villains unlock the Red Cap daggers during the Valentines event

To avoid having every billboard with the same add, perhaps they could limit adds to a percenatge of them? Like if a zone has 25 billboards, then an add could be limited to say 5 of them - and if there weren't 5 different adds to fill them all, then they could just use the default adds we have now.
