  1. Ooh, this could be useful for a little project I'm working on.
  2. I was one of the people who suggested it could be the Praetorian Rogue Isles - there are a few interesing connection points
  3. I think the most interesting bit of new info there is that the city is built on the site of Tyrant's defeat of the Hamidon - I wonder what secrets he's got in the basement of that tower of his?

Well, technically Praetoria 2.0 is actually just a revamp, rather than totally new content - although the retcon is so major that there aren't many parts of Paretoria 1.0 left.

That would be a very...strange thing to do.
  6. They're not going to get rid of Recluse - rewriting the 1-50 red side content would be a rather big task

Well, as there are already humanoid wolves as enemies in the game, it seems very reasonable to add wolf/dog tails for players to use too - and as cat tails have been in the game for like forever, I have to assume you're simply a cat person, and just not that into dogs.

I especially appreciated the absolute zero response from David (or any other member of the dev team, for that matter), either in-thread or via PM, about the collective qualms over its inclusion.
I seem to remember David and Jay both saying that the paws on their fur suits made it hard to type PMs.

Yes - all the new power sets are only available with GR, along with the side switching system, Praetoria and the start of the Incarnate system.
  11. Another example of a visible out-of-game mechanic is the enhancements screen - along with the level up and power selection screen - a lot of the enhancments are abstract ideas rather than physical things, and while some power sets, like Martial Arts, would use set names to describe the attacks, other power sets wouldn't really have a standard set of names for each type of power, witht he same types of damage and effectiveness.
For example, I don't see the point in trying to RP why every single Hero or Villain who carries two guns only ever uses a small selection of identical attacks, which would be totally dumb in real life to stick to the same rigid moves all the time - or how exactly "Combat Sprinting" is some kind of physical thing you can buy or sell at an auction house.
  12. Behave, people
If they've given an offical launch date now, that must mean that they're happy with the way the closed beta is going, and will have worked out when the open beta will start, along with anymore invite waves before then.
  13. By the way, for those of you who RP, do you actually have to make a merged market "canon"? Like just because the game makes items available to both sides via the markets, you don't have to think of that as being an in-game thing - I assume most RPers don't try and work the floating damage and healing numbers or the player names above every avatar head into their "in-character" stuff, as they're just visible game mechanics to help make gameplay easier, so I don't see why it wouldn't be easy to look at the combined markets in the same way - an "out-of-character" game mechanic to make the game work better.
  14. English, and a little bit of Swedish from my time there, as well as some German words and phrases - I'd like to have learnt some Finnish too, because it sounds like something the lovechild of Legolas and Gimli would speak - it looks and sounds very awesome and fantasy-ish

....So they are PROUD that GR is delayed? I would not exactly use that word when telling eager paying customers that a product already paid for by many is not coming out on the original date specified.
They're proud to announce when we'll all be able to get the product.

Going Rogue contains Praetoria, the new power sets, the start of the Incarnate system and the side switching system - you will need to own a copy of GR to access them.
They might revamp some older content to be the main part of the free Issue though - the new Positron Tf was very well received by a lot of players., so they could be intending to fix some other troublesome content for I18.
  17. I think calling all of it "influence" would be quite a good idea, as that's a suitably neutral word - like your actions give you influence in whatever moral area you operate in, so while Statesman and Recluse are both very influential, only Recluse in infamous.

Issue 18 coming out at the same time as Going Rogue is an assumption based on what happened with CoV.
At the Pocket D meet and greet, Positron confirmed that I18 would be launched along with GR.

They might be let down then - the next Issue after GR is the Incarnate system, and you need to own GR to access it
