Why? Is there a time limit for how long the Incarnate system will be available?

That actually turned out quite well, because it led to the devs re-evaluating some of the older badges that had insane requirements for them too.

This could be the start of texture upgrades for the non-Praetorian parts of the game
  6. I think that Chris Jenkins is probably going to get some competition now

It'll be any time between tomorrow and December 2012.
  9. I think locking the PL'ed avatars for the average time it takes to get to 50 would be a suitable reward - no one loses anything, but they don't profit from it either

Or the ones with accounts full of level1-50 AE babies, who do little else BUT powerlevel?
The devs won't say what the limit for PLing is, because then people would PL just inside the limit - for example, if they said PLing to 50 in 6 hours was too fast, then people would PL to 50 in 6 hours and 5 minutes.

Exactly - he's not issuing frenzied letters every week - it was a one-off thing for an exception event

He wasn't raging and screaming at anyone - he was just making it clear that the excessive PLing being done in the AE wouldn't be allowed

Actually, he just made it clear that extreme abuse of the AE would be punished - he's not really the sort to go beserk

It was a joke about people who play other MMOs instead of CoH

Actually, they did - that's why we're having this discussion.

So which drug makes you fall in love, and have all the experiences that come from a relationship?

The belief that robots could ever be the same as real people is the kind of embarrasingly childish fantasy that desperate, anti-social loners with poor people skills dream up in the empty hope that they could find friendship with a machine rather than having to interact with real people - it's the kind of thing that obesssive nerd cliches cling to in their mom's basement - as a goal, it's about as serious and realistic as trying to turn lead into gold, which was an obsession of the proto-nerds in the middle ages

The idea's fine for sci-fi stories, because they're just modern fantasy stories - believing in the possibility of a robot that was "human" is like believing that one day you'll meet a dragon - you can meet a dragon in a story, just like you can meet a "human" robot - but in the real wold, neither of them exist, or are even possible.

I don't think the forums rules let us discuss the players of other MMOs.
