There is one small problem with your theory there, dear heart: the existence of this thread. Obviously the Devs are concerned with how we perceive the soloability of the end game content they are creating or they wouldn't have given us a place to discuss it.
I also choose to spend about half my play time solo, so I'm not anti-soloing

First, welcome to the game and the forum
CoH is a very instance-heavy game, so the zones don't get that much use, as almost all the missions are on instanced maps accessed from various doors in the zones - there could be several teams in one zone, but one they're on their mission maps, you wonät be able to see them.
If you're looking for more "real" comic book types, you should try Virtue server, which has a high population, and has a lot of RPers on it. -

True, but I don't think this old engine could handle something like an underwater zone. One of our competitors has it and it can't do it right even with a more advanced engine. the other competitor that came out on 1/11/11 pretty much doesn't have such a zone.

I will complain constantly if Loyalists do not get a chance to run TFs that counter those. The Devs need to quit picking sides in Praetoria after letting Villains counter hero content in the regular game
