Quote:The Well is looking for a champion - or champions - because it wants to protect itself an the multiverse from the Coming Storm.Who says the Well is the sole source of mojo around? Just because you will be able to slap down Cole, doesn't mean there aren't bigger fish out and about ready to snack on one.
The Well may be just finding champions to channel into... so they can take out higher level dangers and allow the Well itself to gain more power. Perfect reason for choosing based on power: to be a power play at more power itself. -
I think Vitae might be a HP/endurance buff, and Mind might be some kind of mez protection.

Quote:Tyrant was never part of the Dimensional Wrader badge - you can go here for a list of the required AVs and where to find them:Yes, I was annoyed when I got cheated out of the 13 Praetorians for the badge after completing both new arcs. Where can you fight Tyrant now? (Or is there something else I'm missing?)

Those are both awsome

The only small thing I'd suggest in the way of changes would be to read it slightly slower - the text sounded a little bit rushed at a couple of points. -
They should add another floor to City Hall, so we could actually see and go inside the mayor's office.

Quote:They'd have to be from another dimensionOkay, like the hilarious alternate universe gender shifts of Fushionette and her boy friend in the Sutter TF, I'll be extremely disappointed if we don't see a female version of Tyrant and Marauder in one of the up-and-coming new Incarnate Trials.

The Coming storm is not the Praetorians.
Their connection to it comes form the Well choosing Tyrant as the one to protect the multiverse from the Coming Storm, meaning that we have to defeat him to show the Well that we're better suited to protecting the multiverse from the Coming Storm. -
Quote:I was thinking they'd be more the Hopkins type of AV rather than the Reichsman kind of AVI doubt they'd be AVs, since the main thing about an archvillain is that it's a huge sack of HP. Even with only the incarnate powers we have now, defeating a whole mob of regular AVs with 24 players wouldn't be hard, just tedious.

Quote:You can also convert Shards to Threads and then to IXP, and SHrds will drop during all normal game activities once you open the Alpha slot - plus, Incarnate components can be broken down into Shards too.The only reason I want more trials is because the five characters I choose to focus on for incarnate content due to time constraints, will have to do BAF between 80 and 100 times for judgement, and another 160-200 times for lore. I realize this is supposed to be our long term-end game, but with one mission capable of giving XP for it, that is going to get real grindy, real fast.

Maybe move once and use one power every 60 seconds?

Quote:The thing about the MLW is that he's opposed to Silos and Ouroboros, but it's very hard to see how the devs could make the Menders be the bad guys, as it'd mean they'd have to remove the Citadel, and all access to it from us, including the flashback system - which seems very unlikely, meaning that we'll probably be siding with the Menders rather than the MLW, and with incarnate content being co-op, it seems like the MLW's offer to join with him against Silos might just be for flavor, rather than an actual gameplay choice, in the same way that Tyrant tells loyalists escaping to Primal Earth that they'll come around to his point of view when they see how "bad" the palce is.In all this time I'd actually forgotten about The Mysterious Letter writer...
Hmm, Promethesus just got more interesting indeed.
I'd always just assummed the letter was written to you by a future you.
The latest letter from the MLW on Ramiel's arc says:
That seems to fit with Prometheus, who the devs have described as being aginst the Well and all it stands for, still being the one who is guiding us in the fight against Tyrant, and helping us access power from the Well ourselves.Quote:"You have no doubt heard the golden voice of the Well. Whatever you do, do not listen to it! It seeks only to control any that it can with the promise of power. Perhaps there is a way around it, but for now, its power must be used."
In that same letter, the MLW also says:
As this was from I19, Prometheus wasn't there - but the emphasis on the word "when" could almost be a hint that it's Prometheus - because it doesn't make sense to emphasize it, because we only ever get the letter on Ramiel's arc - so the "when" could be referencing if you played the arc before or after I20.Quote:"As always, seek me out in the Crystal of Ice and Fire. Or... depending on when you are reading this, you may have merely seen me minutes ago."
One more bit of potential interest is that the MLW seems to suggest that he supplied the the Aspect of the Pillar to the Midnighters that linked to Cimerora - and the whole classical vibe of Cimerora is quite a good fit for a Titan.
Going by what's been said in-game, and out of the game, the Coming Storm comes after we defeat Tyrant.Quote:As an aside; Do you GG, think TCS will involve the Praetorians or an as of now unknown group?
The Well of the Furies is trying to protect itself from the Coming Storm, and has made Tyrant it's champion - if we can defeat him, it'll prove to the Well that we're a better bet to protect the multiverse from the Coming Storm than Tyrant is.
Remember that the Well isn't good or evil, it just responds to power, so it'll switch its backing to us rather than Tyrant, just as long as we can prove that we're stonger than him.
Our actions have already gotten the Well's notice, and its favor in some cases, so now we need to take the next step and become its champions by defeating its current champion. -

The Prometheus bit doesn't flesh it out - it's just 2 extra words, but they open up all kinds of possibilities for the future, especially the Coming Storm and the identity of the Mysterious Letter Writer.

Quote:Well, this bit about the AVs is sort of a hint:The article says he drops some hints about I21, but I can't seem to find any.
Plus, this bit could be pretty interesting:Quote:"the bag of tricks we’ve given the bosses is greatly expanded in Issue 20 and will only keep getting more and more interesting as we grow the game."
If that's a hint, then that has all kinds of implications for the future.Quote:"the (ostensibly friendly) Prometheus" -
Shivans and Warburg nukes are not on the ok list, for some weird reason

Quote:Use a vet sprint power - they have light effectsDM: The Coming Storm, you have entered the door to the north. You are now by yourself, standing in a dark room. The pungent stench of mildew emanates from the wet dungeon walls.
TCS: I use Ninja Run!
DM: Why are you Ninja Running? You can't see where you're going.
TCS: I...I'm Ninja Running the darkness!

A single blue side starter zone would make more sense, and bring it into line with the Rogue Isles and Praetoria - Galaxy City could easily be removed, and the entrances from it to Kings Row and Perez Park could be joined up instead.

Sands of Mu isn't available, and as a vet reward, it counts as paid for
