For those with BAF lag problems, a smaller Legaue might reduce the trouble a bit until it's fixed.

I ran 3 Trials last night, and got an uncommon on my first one, and then a rare on each of the other two - I just need to open some slots now to use them
-
The first time I ran this on the live servers, we hit Duray so hard and so fast that he didn't manage to call in a single airstrike - which confused a few of the team, because I'd warned them before we started to expect a mini-Apex at the end

The GR info page on the Resistance says that some of them are hackers.

So what is it? The loyalist uniforms are smarter than the Archnos ones? That Paretorian salute makes you feel all funny inside? Dictatorships with cleaner streets are more appealing than dictatorships built on trash heaps?

Quote:Tyrant spells it out for loyalists escaping to Paragon City at level 20 - plus, the rest of the GR content makes it pretty clear how evil Tyrant and his dictatorship is - there's no justification for what he does to the people he's oppressing. The fact that it's not explicitly spelled out in-game allows for moral ambiguity.
You don't murder, torture, brain-wash and repress the people you rule unless you're evil.Quote:Ruling people as a dictator (Tyrant) in an attempt to save them from a worse dictator (Hamidon) may or may not be a heroic or moral act.
They are - dictatorship is always evil.Quote:No, that's why he's a dictator. The two categories are not identical.
We're not only liberating Praetoria, we're also saving the entire multiverse from Tyrant and his loyalist thugs.Quote:Oh? References, please - I was under the impression Primal Earth was opposing an invasion, not initiating one. it is my (possibly flawed) understanding that Primal forces are attacking Lambda and the B.A.F. not out of concern for Praetoria, but Primal Earth. And - stop me if I'm wrong - that's also what the villains are trying to do.
(I haven't done the Praetoria Zone Events, so the answers may lie there, of course.) -

That info has been kicking around for almost a month - I really, really suggest that people check out the various ways Paragon Studios uses to interact with their players
-
That's one of the funniest things about these people falling overthemselves to try and serve Tyrant - from the moment CoV was released, there have been constant complaints by players having to serve a crazed dictator and his evil organizaiton - but from the moment GR came out, there have been constant complaints by players wanting to serve a crazed dictator and his evil organization

Quote:So "the next content release after I20" doesn't count as "soon"?No need. Look at the post above you. You claimed that it was coming soon. You named an issue. That's false.
They simply said they want to do it. Not when.
I said it could be an I20.5 release, as filling out the new slots with extra stuff would be like filling out the Alpha slot in I19.5 - or I said it could be I21.
The next content release after I20 is either I20.5 or I21 - what I said was totally correct. -

Quote:Watch this:Link please.
Where did they say they are adding new trees to existing slots in the next issue or mid-issue?
My understanding was that they would like to expand the slots later on, later as in issues down the line, and NOT anytime soon.
I'm asking so we don't spread such a rumor around.

The answer you're looking for starts around the 2 minute mark, but I'd suggest you watch the whole thing - there's quite a lot of interesting info in it, as well as some story hints for the future

Quote:They can go blue side to redeem themselves, and fight aginst Tyrant instead of serving him. What I was referring to was the complete lack of any moral decision we make in Prae from levels 1-20 mattering when it comes time to choose a hero or villain, linked with that fact that Loyalists ARE IN FACT villains, which makes allowing them to choose heroside even funnier.
You can start off at level 1, and then see the full horror of the system you're working for in the 1-20 content, escape to Primal Earth, do good deeds for the next 30 levels, then return to Praetoria to help defeat the monster you used to serve. -
Quote:I haven't seen any of that mentioned in-game, or out of the game - and none of it would justify what Tyrant and his loyalist thugs do.It seems quite reasonable that they had/have access to a much larger pool of born psychics - quite possibly enough to beed up their own type of psiwar operative, one that could turn psi-sensitive minds to their side unless rigidly controlled by another force. I'm not aware that the sonic fence can stop Psi powers.
The Praetorian DE also might very well have access to something they have essentially none of on Primal Earth - magic. It is not hard to imagine that mystical incursion might be possible into an enclave of humans, if the negative emotions therein were of a sufficient strength. Using fear, hate and anger to power baleful spells is a well-worn magical trope. I don't think the sonic fences stop magical energies, do you? Keeping the populace calm and happy is, at this point, necessary.
Tyrant believe peole need ot be controlled, period - that's why he's a supervillain.Quote:Tyrant believes that the citizens of his city need to be controlled due to looking out over the endless fields of DE ruling over the areas in which humans were not controlled.
Destrotying Tyrant's dictatorship is also the main focus of the Heroes of Primal Earth in the war against the loyalists - but we also fight the Praetorian Hamidon.Quote:One could argue that this is not seen in cannon, because the resistance is not pursuing the DE agenda.
If a lynchpin of the DE agenda is removing Tyrant - and would you argue that it was not? - they are.
