Paragon City was called Shroud City on Praetorian Earth, and was destroyed by nukes - so it'd probably look alot like the ruined city zones that were in the original Praetorian arcs and the comics
-
-
All of that's missing the point - it's the deciding if it'd be a good idea or not to surrender to Tyrant and his loyalists thugs that could take longer than 3 seconds - although not for anyone who's actually been to Praetoria or seen the invasion plansQuote:Dropping to your knees takes another second, or the same second if you do it simultaneously.
-
Quote:I'm not so sure - I mean, on the Sutter TF, the War Walkers say they'll give us 3 seconds to surrender beore they wipe us out, so Tyrant's totally holding back and trying to be as reasonable as possible when dealing with the superpowered people of Primal Earth - like he didn't only offer a ridiculous 1 second, or even a tight 2 seconds - he generously gave us a full 3 seconds to weigh up the pros and cons of becoming his prisonersThe big thing is that Cole is not going to let any Primal metas live after he conquers Primal Earth.

Quote:You don't always lose - but you do if you get involved in any big world-threatening events - Heroes will always save the world, and Villains will never conquer it - which means that Tyrant and the loyalists will never win, so any player that sided with them would be an automatic loser. The moment they created the ability for players to be villains was the moment villains got the specific non-comic tread of being able to win. We are a big part of the community and automatically let us lose is simply stated.. stupid!
Villains have to have low-level successes - they can't have any major success that would affect the game world.
Tyrant can mass-murder and brain-wash and torture and oppress people in Praetoria, and villains can help him - but his bigger plans to spread mass-murder, brain-washing, torture and oppression to the wider game world will fail, because the good side can't lose - Tyrant's role, just like any other supervillain, is to be a failure anytime he tries to do anything that will affect the wider game world. -
Quote:Yes - which is why I never treated it seriouslyWouldn't the fact that Fusionette and Faultline are pretty hot and heavy by the time you hit the RWZ (after the blatantly obvious tension in the zone named after Temblor's dad) make Statesline an irrational ship by your own definition? :P

One off images or pages are ok for humor, but I'd never put something like that into an actual comic - I like to obey the lore
-
Quote:I never trust Villains that farThat shouldn't stop me from bludgeon your hero the moment I have half the chance if your back is turned against me trusting me.

But that means they'd be failures and losers - Tyrant and his loyalists have to be defeated for us to make the Well switch its support - so anyone who sided with Tyrant would be an automatic failure, as Tyrant is destined to lose, so the story can move onto the next stage.Quote:What meant here is that some heroes might want some factions to win. And that might be another faction then the devs force the villains into. Co-op always will give this problem. I am sure there are enough loyalist villains who would gladly fight on the side of the Praetorians against you!
Or ever will have - it's just not as popular to be naughty as it is to be niceQuote:And the Blue side still has waaaaayyyyyy more zones and variation then red side ever had.

By the way, does anyone else think that these steampunk parts look a lot like the original concept art for the Resistance, before they were made more tech-ish?

The Anti-Matter reactor Trial will be going into closed beta in May, and will be released separately from I21.
-
I think it'll be interesting to see if the Anti-Matter reactor Trial, which is the next one to go live, will feature Anti-Matter as an enemy or an ally.

Quote:Or maybe make them all Praetorian-style moral choice stories? Like there'd be a choice in each arc where you could decide to be good or evil.If the new zone is co-op, they should make villain and hero specific arcs rather than everyone doing the same arcs, regardless of alignment. They can also implement the side switching mechanic to make things more interesting. Say if a hero wants to join a villain mission, it can essentially count as completing a tip mission.

Quote:Actually, irrational only counts when it goes against the lore of whatever universe the couple are in - if one or both of the shipped couple already have a lore-confirmed loved/Husband/wife, then it's irrational to pair them off with someone else - but if neither of the shipped couple have a lore-confirmed lover/husband/wife, then they can't be properly irrational. The more rational shippers are the ones who look at in-universe pairings and go, "Yeah, I can buy that [scribble scribble scribble]" or "what the hell are they thinking? there's no canon basis for that at all! [scribble scribble scribble]". It has to do more with how the 'ship fits overall into canon.
Then there are the irrational shippers... who sometimes pair up the WEIRDEST people (Statesline, anyone?) and run with the concept either out of fun, malice, insanity, or some combination thereof.
For example, Obidala is irrational, but Bobahutt is isn't. -
It's delayed for a bit now while they fix a technical fault that they discovered yesterday.

Quote:Both men obviously care very much about the safety of the people of Praetoria.Quote:
Ray Kang was on the Praetoria Police force day one. He's seen it all, from the revelry in the aftermath of the Hamidon Wars, through the reconstruction efforts, the birth of the Seer Program, the rise of the Syndicate, and the arrival of the Destroyers and Resisatnce. Kang has watched his city transform from utopia to warzone and he will do whatever it takes and sacrifice whatever is needed to return it to the utopia he helped build. Aa crazed fanatic who enslaves his own daughter, and a sadistic thug - just two of the "good" people that "responsibility" loyalists help to carry out their evil work.Quote:The Chief Interrogator works directly for Praetor Sinclair as the liaison between the Ministry of Intelligence and the PPD. Washington has the mind of a jackal in the body of a gorilla, and enjoys nothing more than ferreting out those who are not loyal to Emperor Cole and bringing them in for an unmonitored round of questioning. -
I think it's totally ok - the Rikti and Tyrant would both wipe out Heroes and Villains if they won - both invasions are a fight for survival for everyone on Primal Earth - and it doesn't matter if your goal in life is to protect the world or conquer it - these forces coming from other dimensions are trying to make sure that first, the world you want to protect/conquer will belong to them, and second, that you're not around to protect/conquer it.

Quote:Dark Watcher isn't female, as far as I knowI'm thinking the message that Anti-matter sent was to someone with Vanguard. My guess either Dark Watcher or lady Grey.

I think Anti-Matter just wants the war to stop, not for Tyrant to actually be removed from power, as all the Praetors would go down with the dictatorship too. -
