Quote:The cape position causes problems, becuase it implies movement from the left - in other words, coming form the same direction as the Clockwork, rather than the more logical arrival from the right. To me,
The posing still seems awkward and really off handed.
Ignore the original and make a new unique one to see if you can improve on what they did.
The actual punch would eb quite powerful - I tested the positon myself, and twisting the waist while using the momentum of your body delivers quite a strong blow, as long as the arm is straightened before impact, rather than swung accross teh front of the target. -
Quote:It's my punching-evil-loyalist-robots faceThe one that says "You did NOT just take the last of the ice-cream!"

It could be some of Tyrant's DNA being used to make them tougher - he already has his clone army project with the Olympian Guard, so the IDF Commanders could be some kinda of test run. -

Quote:Or it reflects the results of their datamining and player feedback, past and present. They should have known it would be demanded the second they started on the incarnate content. This is something they should have been planning from the first moment they started looking at incarnate content. For this to be some kind of surprise to them does not reflect well on their ability to anticipate the customers.

It will be - the Praetorian DE have a different look to the Primal ones - the description given of them on UStream yesterday was "bunrt Cthuloid" - and the Avatar of the Hamidon was ""kind of a big walking beast".

Quote:But that's the same as now - Rikti and zombie attacks happen in the current atlas Park all the timeSo is Atlas Park getting this wonderful "comic book" makeover too? I'd love to see them trying to have a costume contest while being attacked by zombies or alien spaceships.

Quote:When you see the facelift for Atlas Park, you'll hardly recognize it eitherSo they are really going to destroy my favorite starting zone? That's about right for where this game has been going lately. Incarnate trials and now F2P are making this a game I don't recognize anymore.

And it's also a mind-bendingly difficult pattern for me to make for a model

Quote:It's important to read what the devs say, so you can get a handle on their thinking and where they're coming from. This stance is such bull...
MMORPGS are not all about teaming for missions. -

Galaxy City isn't getting revamped - it's getting removed from the normal game - there's no logner going to be a Galaxy City zone - the current one will be an "echo" that can be accessed from Ouroboros, but from I21 onwards, Galaxy City will cease to exist in the game world, except as the name of the new tutorial map - Atlas Park will be the one and only blue side starting zone.

Quote:Atlas Park is getiting a total revamp - graphics and content - and Mercy Island is also getting some visual upgrades and content changes - plus, new training missions will be added from 5-19 for both sides, to spread out the learning phase of the game, rather than trying to pack everything into a 10 minute tutorial.I've only read the first 5 pages, so if this has been addressed, please forgive me.
But out of those first 5 pages, the only responses I've seen so far center either on the artwork, or are glowing about the mechanics of this. Bot nobody seems to have raised the concern of "pacing."
Great, we can now throw complete newbs into a huge zone battle, get the blood roaring, get really jazzed for the game....... and then what? They will be ejected out of the tutorial into Atlas or King's Row (Mercy or Port Oakes villain side), to the letdown and snail-like pacing that is the 7-year content we have had from the beginning. While I'm all up for an exciting invasion, as an introduction to a game (or a movie), if you can't back it up by keeping a good pacing after the intro, why would the average player stick around? -
That was a weird choice, as not only is she in the Vindicators, but she's in the same zone as Fort Trident, which causes a bigger double-take than, say, Statesman still on the ship in IP even when you're rescuing hm from Tyrant, as the arc doesn't take you to IP at all, while Ms. Liberty in Atlas Park is right where the majority of players there gather, while also being in a transport and salvage hub accessed from the same zone.

Quote:Atlas Park has had a total makover, graphics and content wise, and Mercy Island has also has a makeover, but not on the same scale.Like I said, I remember War Witch (I think it was her) saying in the last UStream that Atlas and Mercy would be updated too.
But players will still be fighting Hellions in Atlas Park
-
That would probably be a waste of teaching time to make AT and power set selection part of it - but the alignment choice seems to be a big part of it, although I'm sure they'll allow people to skip the tutorial if they're vets.

Quote:I get the impression that she makes the Sister Psyche panic face for just about everything, like her phone ringing or someone knocking at the doorpoor Tunnel Rat would be looping in the hospital transport system:
meteor -eek! (heart attack) - transport -exit/meteor - eek! (heart attack) - transport -...

In related news, I didn't actually get to play any CoH this evening - instead, I logged on to each server and used my hoarded Empyreans and Astrals to unlock every single new costume part, aura and emote - and still had some merits left over - which I'll hoard for potential future unlocks

But now that I have all the rewards, I guess I can stop playing the Trials, as there's surely no reason to do them for anything other than the leet lewt?
