I think the woman to the right in blue and orange is possibly an early concept for Ms. Liberty.

Quote:Popular culture would appear to disagree with youGolden age and silver age super heroes DO NOT look capable or powerful in the slightest sense.

It's a media driven thing, along the same line as blonde jokes.Quote:I'm not saying that I like this re-design but there is really seems to be a pathological disdain among some of you for anything bigger than a sensible B-cup. I haven't read enough of your posts to say this applies to you specifically but there really appears to be a strongly held opinion (among some) that a bigger bustline instantly means the woman is somehow less capable. I find that about as distasteful as any other sterotype. -

The devs have said that the arcs/missions are things player will be sure to want to play through several times, so that sounds like it'll be a permanent unlock.

Quote:Generally, I think that every single important signature character should have at least one unique part on them that players can't get - but that similar pieces should also be made for players - for example, Statesman should always have his unique faceplate, but that doesn't mean that players can't have access to 3-4 faceplates in another style - or like BAB should always keep his power gloves, but players should be given a few pairs of power gloves that are similar, but not identical. But if a character's core concept requires something we simply COULDN'T make in the CC, then yes--of course it should be built from scratch. As with everything, it's always a question of resources. Where is the team's time better spent: on a signature character or on a new costume set for you guys? In general, I think fans are happier when we go with the latter more often than not, but obviously we're still making plenty of from-scratch signatures too. It's just a matter of finding the perfect ratio.
Players should only ever be able to look similar to signature characterss and never be able to make exact clones of them - which is why Sister Psyche should get those shoulder rings she wears in a lot of the promotional art, because right now, I think she's just about the only signature character that players can totally recreate 100% in the costume creator. -
Positron said a couple of days ago that they're looking at the idea of vehicles, but that they'll probably find something that stops them making them.

Valkyrie actually has the best excuse for a costume change right now - her current armor might have been damaged during the Apex TF, so Positron could use his knowledge to help her create a more modern battle suit.

That's a great - there are a lot of awesome AE creators who have had to stop producing new stuff because they've maxed out their current slots.

Darn, which slots????
Golden Girl are you going to explore more ATs, or are you going to increase your wardrobe?
Either way, Yay

Quote:But now I'm really curious--tell us more about why you like it. Essentially all the players I talk to seem to find the art on that charcter a little too plain and static, and the posts I've seen in this thread rarely mention the original Hamidon among their favorite designs. Let us know why it's awesome.
That's what this thread is all about--what resonates with you and why.
I think that being static is one of the things that makes it unique as an enemy - it's more like we're actually fighting the scenery in the zone, which seems a suitable feeling for the Hamidon to give.
The one thing I think it's missing though is a good entrance - it just kinda pops into existence when it spawns - a screen-shake, along with a sky change like the zombie or Rikti attacks, with maybe the ruined Ouroboros lightning effects from Mender Ramiel's arc in the background while the Hamidon itself rose up slowly out of the ground, possibly from some kind of crater, would give a much better "wrath of nature" vibe to its arrival in the zone. -

I think I might buy some extra slots

I'll be there to help
