Quote:I've seen plenty of people talking about various "useless" non-Incanrate powers that "no one" ever takes, even though they must fit with plenty of themes - so building for effectiveness ahead of theme isn't really something that's only started with the Incarnate system.I mentioned that.
Bear in mind, though, that what incarnate power people are working on (for theme, because it makes their character solo better, or is just what they thought would help most in general) is not necessarily whatever power the league thinks helps most. Clarion in the UGT is our only strong current example, but Rebirth in Keyes certainly was before they changed it. -
Quote:That's when they're not empowered by the Well - timeline-wise, those arcs take place before the invasion.I see what you're saying. And just so we're clear, I'm not asking that we non-gods get the same content as the incarnates are getting just watered down, or anything like that. Just some 30-50 arcs, or other things of that nature. After all, we do fight and take down most of the big-bads in Praetoria in Maria Jenkins and Tina McIntyre's arcs, so us non-gods aren't that powerless.

Quote:But with every single Incarnate power open to all the ATs, that just means you can target unlocking the powers you think would work best.Taking a character through the end-game can potentially make you feel like you can't just bring whatever you currently happen to enjoy playing, because the challenges in the trial-du-jour might be a poor fit for what your character does.
If there's an AT that you like that doesn't seem to perform so well on a Trial that you run a lot, just target power unlocks to suit that Trial. -

Aurora and Penny are also going to help her, going by what they say at the end of MoM - so some tripple strength girl power will help take down the evil patriarch of Preatoria

It won't - they already said that several times

The solo content will have enemies who are tougher than the current enemies for level 50s, but weaker than the enemies on the Trials - the level range for the solo content enemies is 50-54, and the level range for the Trial enemies is 54-54+2 - guess which path will give better and faster rewards?

Quote:This was from the February Producer's Letter:Thinking about it though, I guess that is something of a conundrum for folks that have T 4 in all 5 slots. And sort of just the inherent problem with the system atm, it ends and there's nothing at the end that worth doing atm. But then, what *can* the designers put in that people maxed out will want to run continuously that isn't just stockpiling more merits, threads, and components?
So what will the second waves of Trials be like? Maybe the Battalion?Quote:"Eventually, once we release all of the Incarnate Slots, youll even be a little overpowered for the first waves of Incarnate Trials, and by then, well have something much more challenging for you to do with your newfound power. (Evil chuckle redacted.)"

Quote:Her spirit is tied to the world of the living by a talisman that her father made, and Tyrant got hold of it, and used it to make her his servant - but during the First Ward story, you and your Resistance allies break into Tyrant's Tower and steal the talisman - with a little extra help from an unexpected soruceSo she's no longer under Tyrant's absolute control? Eeeeeenteresting.

Yeah, First Ward was awesome - it still felt like it was a part of Praetoria, but it built on the GR story to add some great new lore and stories.

Quote:One of those slides in the screenshots says that the enemies won't be as difficult as the ones on the Trials, so they shouldn't be too tough - plus, we'll be fighting them with the full range of our powers, unlike low level Praetorians.I have a funny feeling that the NPCs in here are going to be the level 50 version of what's going on now in Praetoria, so most people will still be running trials - soloing will be seriously painful, like it is now in Praetoria. Therefore I have a feeling that after a spurt of "let's check this out!", the zone will still be mostly empty.

Unfortunately, they said that the red war walls won't be seen from the Talos side.
