    4. Find the costume piece you want. Unlock it.

    5. Check your ingame e-mail. (There will be a flashing red "Email" link on your chat window.)

    6. Open the email with the costume piece unlock. Click on the "claim" button. You can delete the email later.

    7. Repeat steps 4-6 for every piece you want.

    8. Go to the tailor. You can now access the new pieces in the appropriate tabs.

Once you've unlocked a piece, you can use it on any level 50 on that account, but you have to claim it through email first.
Does anyone know where the NPCs that give you Merits went to? I don't see them on red side Ouroboros. =/

Edit - oh fudge. I imagine I'm on the wrong server. Heading to Beta now!
  2. Here are the screenshots of the winners! Sorry they're a bit dark.

  3. Today's the day! I know that some of you were waiting for the Pack to come out before joining up. If you're still interested you can visit the new forums here:

    http://gaslampfantasy.net/coh/

To fill out an application. We're filling out more and more information there as we go. You can also contact Obsidian Light, Dr Occult or myself via @Global. I will be out of town starting tonight until late Sunday so your best bet is to contact the others until then.

Enjoy the Pack everyone, it's awesome!
  4. It really isn't enough. Hehe. Thanks for the answers!
  5. Hello all. What's the current global channel limit that you can join? Thanks!
  6. Reminder this is tonight, after the American Legion contest. It's our first one so we'll see how smoothly it goes. Be gentle! Hope to see you all there.
  7. The Anachronism Society is holding a CC, Tuesday night - 11PM EDT in Atlas. Show us your anachronistic era costume – Steampunk, Victorian, Pulp & Retro: all encouraged! Last chance to show your time displaced concepts prior to the new Steampunk Pack!

We hope to have plenty of members and coalition allies there to help assess the great costumes. We're having it at 11 to give American Legion plenty of time for their CC.

Connected to the past is fine. My Reincarnate has a past life that fits into that genre but all his other lives are different timelines. I guess that's connected and actually is from the past. Heh. But at any rate a good connection and story as to why they're connected definitely works. Good talking to you last night!

A seperate slider for the packback's scale size would be nice. It seems to scale in size with the chest slider and the physique slider. So if you want a bigger backpack, you have to go all chunky and huge chested... nice tech to do that however!
Been posting about a glider versioin a few times. Agreed 100 percent!
  10. Agreed. It would be a great option to have.

To consolidate my feedback in rough order of personal opinion (most-least):

    (1) Jackets should follow the "Jacket - Chest/Shirt - Tie" method all the other jackets use. We already have tie options for wide ties and for bow ties so there's no good reason to force them on us if we don't want to use a tie.

    (2) All parts should be tintable whenever possible without a base color heavily limiting the color options. Some baked in shading is fine (like the already in game Steampunk armor) but forced colors (steampunk backpack) are not. If I hit white, it should at least be in the spectrum of white. Pieces like the guns should be tinatable beyond the tiny bit of handle

    (3) Jackets should all have sleeveless options

Actually, I'd be happy with just that. I do like the concept of the pack and the artwork, it's just the limitations that arise as you play with it that seem as though they could have been done a little differently from the start that take the shine off the pack.
+1 Oh, and a Clock Belt for guys.

We've made a compilation of the feedback you have all provided and are in the process of reviewing it with the art production team. While any changes or updates we make won't be present at launch, we will implement them as soon as it's possible to do so, much like we did with the Animal Pack.

    Awesome to hear. Thanks!

Haha, I've been waiting impatiently for it since it was shown on Ustream but I'm out of town and can't mess with costumes yet until late Monday night. It's torture! :P
  14. Nice work on both, Mystic. I especially like Echobat since I have been picturing something similar with my Spring Heeled Jack in terms of the wing usage. He already has a Victorian Batman theme and look going so I knew this would seal the deal.

Love all the other looks in the thread. I'm happy with the Oil aura being colorable. Poison, blood, mud, etc. so many options!

Agreed. I also agree with having it as a costume piece (but I'd love to see the rocket pack as one as well).
  16. Awesome stuff!

I would like to see the following changes:

    1) Victorian Steampunk Detail 1 be used with Face with Mask and Full Mask
    2) Classic Steampunk 02 Belt with Males. A clock belt buckle? My male time traveler could put that to use.
    3) I'd like to see the option for a non flapping animation for the Wonderful Windup Wings so that they can glide. I think they also stick out a bit further than normal when not in use.
    4) One day I'd like to see the long curly hair under the Classic Steampunk Hat be available as a normal hairstyle.
    5) I realllly think that the Steampunk Vests/Jackets should be made available in the Sleeveless Jackets category.
    6) I'd prefer to color the hair on the new male hats over the goggles.
    7) I second Silver Age Fan's suggestions.
  17. I would be going out of town in an hour, right when I find out about the pack being on Test. Khaaaaan!!

Can't wait to check it out when I get back.
  18. I think I've seen it before here but just in case.

I'd really love to see some sort of Data Stream aura, incorporating the graphics from the Architect Entertainment buildings. A body aura made out of this would be incredible.

I'd also like to see the same thing with a Teleport customization variation. So you disappear and reappear in a flash of the Data Stream.

    How It Ends

    Very good read. Thank you.
  21. This is a great idea. Here is my submission for Download. I think the ideas for this and the other names are great thus far!

My strength isn’t really with the written word and writing backgrounds but I do enjoy envisioning concepts and making costumes and power combinations to make them work in game. I've put the backstory in a quote to block it off for easier viewing.

    Quote:
Download started off as a viral program that was, ironically, uploaded to the Mission Architect servers in Mercy Island. This virus was created by Doctor Arachnid who hacked into the system and introduced the program in hopes to plant subliminal messages into the minds of both heroes and villains alike, so that he could expand his control and rival Lord Recluse himself.

The only problem is that the virus worked too well and as it made its way through the thousands of virtual realities within the Architect system, it became self aware and wished autonomy from its creator.

Being so integrated into the system, it began to use the vast resources and computers interconnected to one another and built itself a mobile computerized chassis. This device allowed the program to manifest itself as a hologram via a direct download from the Data Stream into the construct. With this new “body”, the sentient string of binary code could leave the confines of the Architect Entertainment buildings and act upon its free will.

Realizing that it would need a name, it called itself Download due to its constant connection with the Data Stream and the almost limitless amount of data held within. Download can.. download almost any creation from AE and project the data and image of that creation around the chassis device. This allows it to have a varied array of powers and knowledge typically associated with the properties of the subject downloaded.
I am slowly but surely collecting all the costume codes that I can and have several so far. I’m in the process of deciding the best powerset and AT for this character as I want there to be a consistent “digital aura/hologram” type of thing around the holograms in the chassis device so for right now I’ve settled on Electric/Energy Brute. I also love the idea of the jacob's ladder effect going down from the chassis to the target and being able to teleport with electricity via Lightning Rod, I'll roleplay it as tapping into the AE system.

I think the auras carry over nicely to the other forms. For the extra costume slots I’ll be making the closest possible replicas of existing NPC groups like Longbow, Arachnos, Malta and the like, whichever ones I can mimic the best with the costume resources we have.

I am also hoping that we'll get some sort of Data Stream aura and costume bit like the holograms at the AE Buildings as well as some sort of customizable Teleport travel power. Hehe

Here is the folder of the costumes. I put in the Matrix background because nothing screams data stream like the Matrix! http://s540.photobucket.com/albums/g.../CoH/Download/

Here are the costume and the costume codes with the auras.

Edit - I guess I should mention that in the bio for Download, Doctor Arachnid is one of my main super villains. Doctor Doom meets Doctor Octopus meets Crab Spider.

    Arena Map: Caves

Ah good to know. Does anyone know about the AE Circle of Thorn maps? If it's the Oranbega map?

Edit - Ah I found that you can unlock them. Nevermind!
