  1. About the Firefly and Snow auras - I don't see how they would have fit into this pack. I'm sure it was originally intended for another pack (again, hoping general holiday or seasons theme). I'll gladly take them for free!

    I sure hope this isn't a couple weeks away tho. I was kinda hoping they'd release tomorrow with the Halloween event since the servers may come down for that? Unless they want to test it on the Test server first. Which the greedy kid in me doesn't want to happen. Gimme!

    You know, that's probably more correct. I could see the Snow aura for this Winter event and possibly the Firefly aura as one of the rewards in the new Halloween Tip mission.

    Still want a Halloween or Holiday pack tho so I hope this is wrong. :P

    edit - I figured we'd be buying that leaf aura. I saw it on the Praetorian Halloween Costume Salvage NPC and figured it'd be ours eventually! I'm guessing the Firefly and Snow aura was from here but not sure from where in the pack they would have been. I guess Nature..? Maybe they were from a Seasonal or Holiday pack.

    Still looking for Halloween pack, dammit! :P

    One thing struck me as kind of odd though (not anything wrong just unusual)... I've seen plenty of fiery eyes but not ever a nose flame before.
    Was that intentional? Funnily enough I have a fire blaster with the face that looks like a bear and when he does breath of fire the animation makes the fire stream come out his nostrils.
    Haha, no it wasn't intentional on my end. It's why I said almost everything was perfect. That's one of the little details I was like.. hmm.. about but the rest was so awesome I was OK with it. I think the cape is my favorite part other than the colors. The hat and nose my least favorite but I'm extremely happy with the overall image.
  4. I went through and edited all of the art pieces in this thread to have a smaller thumbnail (thanks to Thornster for teaching me that trick!). Just click on the images to see the bigger versions with better details on their DA pages.

    Here's another Mister Halloween piece. This time by Wansworld. I'm SO loving the colors on this - Halloween being my favorite holiday may have something to do with it.



    He got the jacket, cape, sleeves, belt - almost everything down perfect!

  6. I was wrong about who had which Skull belts with Jackets. Here's a complete list.

    Under Jackets:
    • Huge body types have Fanged Skull Belt, Lone Skull Belt and Small Skull Belt.
    • Female body types have Fanged Skull Belt and Small Skull Belt.
    • Males have none of the above.

    Please let Male body types have the Fanged skull and Small Skull Belt types under Jackets and Jackets w/o sleeves.

    If feasible allow both Female and Male body types to have the Lone Skull Belt as well just as the Huge body types do.

    I really want to be able to add some new costume bits like firefly aura, skull brooches, etc. to Mister Halloween but can't due to losing the belt.

    Agreed. Valkyrie and the belt with the guns on it for example. Horrible clipping. It's a real shame, one of my favorite characters can never go to the tailor to edit that costume as he'll lose that belt immediately. Sigh. Those skull belts make for great belt buckles and don't clip at all on some jackets and some jackets that are opened in the front make it look even better with NO clipping at all.

  10. My kingdom for true white paint on faces, true white skin and metal skin w/o seams!

    Anyways for my take on Icicle I started with a plain, almost Golden Age look and then built on that with spikes and thorn patterns for the icicles and leather and buckles for the modern villain elements.

    That is a debatable statement, I found that "other" game's character creator to be quite unsatisfactory despite it's touted advancements.
    Agreed on both counts. If I'm more into my character then I'm more into the game world and how that character fits in that world.

    As far as that other game - I couldn't reproduce Goblin Queen there. I tried. No dice. Couldn't even use the name (which is understandable due to Marvel but.. still). I did achieve a couple really impressive looks which I love and the same could be said - I couldn't replicate them over in CoH but overall I like the graphics and options CoH has over that other game.

    This. And even if they were, power customization has a ceiling that it'll hit. There is a limit to it - meaning it WILL get "done" if they devote the time to it (arguments can be made that of course there's always more to customize - new weapons, Mastermind pets, etc but I'm talking of the Power Pools and Epics). The improvement of the end game, content, etc. is an ongoing thing that will continue to happen for as long as they keep supporting the game. The strengths of this game, to me, is the customization and characterization that you can accomplish with it. They should continue to support that and certainly finish what they started. Then go back to providing more content, new systems, etc.

    But I agree with Zortel, other than the UI support and some code needed - a lot of the two don't have to hinder each other to get done. Not for TOO long at any rate. I don't need new villains with new flashy powers each Issue. I'd certainly like to get more customization on several levels each issue.

    And for what it's worth, I'd like to see the Epic ATs get limited customization, secondary color choices or limited color palette for their powers (Kheldians) and more weapon options (SoAs).

    I LOVE these ideas for customizing pets. Brilliant. I've long wanted to change my pets up. Just add Trolls to Thugs for Masterminds. Tuatha for Plant = /drool.
  20. Revamp a LOT of zones like Dark Astoria, Shadow Shard, etc.

    Wilderness zones - tundra/arctic, desert, jungle.

    Time travel zones - medieval, feudal Japan, prehistoric/dinosaur, Aztec, ancient Egyptian (can kill 2 birds with one stone with the desert zone).

    Cultural/real world cities - voodoo/New Orleans, tribal african, London, Shanghai, Moscow

    High fantasy zones - gothic horror, faerie realm, realm of the dead, Atlantis

    Alternate planes of existence - netherworld, elemental planes, heavenly realm, hell realm

    Sci-fi - Alien planet, alien ships, moon, steampunk

    Some of these can be lumped in together perhaps depending on how the realms are envisioned, i.e. netherworld and realm of the dead.
