the Double-Level Bug rears its ugly head again.

Animation bug: Shield out, ninja run on and, rest. because the animation for Rest is set at either a higher or even priority as the ninja run it tends to flip back and forth. Personally I would like to see the animation priority for rest dropped back where it was before i16 so I can read a newspaper instead when resting or mebby sipping on a drink instead of always kneeling down.

same thing happens with mission transporter
  2. 2 days since the original petition and 22 hours since my last email to them checking on the status, and I have nothing.
  3. Unfortunately I'm still waiting... >.>
Just sent a reply askin whats up
  4. I just scored "The Stygian Nightmare" on Freedom, a Dark/Dark stalker...

You are Incorrect :P (granted you are correct about the case sensitive part however I hadn't selected the name yet, only the idea and was glad to find out all variations were available.)

but still, Drive-By and Driveby were both available, thanks to my (albeit odd) case of OCD I capitalized the B in By so there yah have it.
They were both available and I used DriveBy instead. (I'm not a big fan of hyphenating anything when it comes to names) The quote was for before I chose my toon.
One of them few posts you gotta read into cause my friends say I'm naturally cryptic and vague 99% of the time.

    Honestly... I don't get it.

Actually not so simple. Because it depends on the definition of "lapsed" What excatly is the amount of time (or days) for the account to have lapsed?
Obviously you don't know the answer to this question however I do not as well and I'm pretty sure that 2-3 days in 4-5 months is easily overlooked as a bill processing issue or otherwise.

For vet rewards and such, the lapsed time states something in the range of 90 days (I think, my account is active at the moment and I can't see that status)

And by the way, lose the holier-than-thou attitude plz.

I'm more loyal to my home and food on the table than to some on-line game when it comes to the current economy.
  9. *Grabs his shovel* Damnit Jim! It's not dead yet! Look! It's too strong and pretty to be dead! Don't give me that doctor-babble. It's fine! CLEAR! *ZAPPP*

me, it might of been 2, mebby 3 days tops (I get paid on a Wednesday.. odd aint it?)
And sometimes certain bills take precedence over CoX for a few days hence why month-to-month)
I've already put in the petition but didn't think of a generic ask the question first before hand. Oh well I gotta do some work today before I can actually play so hopefully I'll see something in my E-Mail aroundabouts "Hi, we have checked your account data and noted that the amount of time actually 'off' was minimal and applied that badge to your account."

During our maintenance window Thursday, November 19th (4:00 – 6:00 AM Pacific), we will be granting the Loyalty badge (Vigilant for Heroes and Determined for Villains) to players who maintained an active account from August 15, 2009 through November 16, 2009.

Everyone appreciates Loyalty and this is our way of saying thanks for all your support!

If for some reason you do not receive the badge but feel you are entitled to it, please file a petition via Ask a Question.
Guess I'm one of the few who slipped through the cracks. I pay every month manually (I'm not a fan of any automatic payment system) So I guess that kept me from getting it even though my account has been active for nearly 5 months now.

[Edit] Now I'm wondering for those who didn't get the badge but WERE active during this time... Were you (or they in Dispari's case) a month-to-month account or a recurring subscription? [/Edit]
  14. Cause it has to be said...
    SHUT.
    UP.
No more derailment. (You are gonna get the thread locked like another recent one I've posted on)PLZ! KTHXBAI!

Anyway I found a good use for ninja run, granted the look isn't what I'm going for and my toon "James Ruckus" AKA "Ruckus" a Sonic/Psy blaster was a latent mutant till crey pumped him full of untested drugs to keep him alive after a motorcycle accident (the character is a thrill seeker) so Science/Mutant? I just settled with Mutant and thats how that song ends there.
Back to Ninja run as part of the character concept I came up with upon creating him,
Parkour and Free-Running. One of his specialities leaping off of buildings to the next one and back again using the most efficent possible way to get from point A to point B. 2-slotted sprint and swift and ninja run = 60Mph (or thereabouts) So yeah, dual-origin bit, squashed, Ninja Run... Epic Win in my book. Just gotta be creative with its usage.

I can see both sides of the arguement, which is why I offered up a suggestion earlier in the tread which could have kept both sides happy. Sadly it didn't seem to go down too well. Oh well. But when I create a toon I always start with concept, and maybe even a basis for a bio before I even choose an AT or powerset, let alone a name. Usually I get a feel for the name from the concept, then as i choose AT and power sets the name starts to take shape in my head. Some examples of my toons, past and present, are as follows...

1: Tess Trueshot, an extreme range archery sniper
2: Psi Fire, a sci-fi geek who after being kidnaped by a villian named THe Blazing Bolt learns she has pyschic powers, defeats the villian and takes his armoured suit and fire weapons systems and customises them for herself (thus making her technically a dual origin character :-) )
3: Loita & Lina Lethal, genetic clone twins that escaped from a test lab where they were being "matured" and implanted to be the pefect asassins but were seperated during their escape, one ending up in paragon city the other in the rouge isles.
4: Nowucimi Nowudont, a stage magician that discovers he posseses real magic.
5: Perfect Pitch, a mutant girl with vocal chords that cannot be used for human speach, but can be used, among other things, to duplicate any musical instument she has ever heard.

I could carry this list on for ages with my other toons, like Terror Poser Blondi (spider), Dread Visage (WS), Primary Star (PB), Pretty Hate Machine (bots MM), Trouble Seeker, Kid Ego, Sergeant Psyche, Microwave Girl (SG in joke) N'Jahl Stormcaller, A Cold Spell, Aspen Darksfire, Kunoichi Jounin Kai, etc. None of those names were set in stone and some were not even first choice names, but they are names that fit and work perfectly for the character.

Comming up with a name then working everything else to fit the name to me just seems odd to me, especially with how long I usually take making a character. The name is usually the icing on the cake rather than the cake itself for me. The name finishes off the concept, the concept isn't made to fit the name.
Whats really creepy? At the time I finally log in my toon, I already have a full background story kickin around in my head for them... And I don't even play on Virtue...
Honestly, I'm worried I will never find a team cause everybody is too busy in Pocket D to do anything
  16. Honestly, this thread is starting to sound a bit like this,
    Screwed up Verizon Math

Pfft, shows what you know! He's a Villain! So there!

Nah its a habit of mine to do words like that, but still, Drive-By and Driveby were both available, thanks to my (albiet odd) case of OCD I capitalized the B in By so there yah have it.
Now I only wish he had a car...
As for other toons, I have a few namesake ones like my Warshade named Stygian Renegade and Gibbering Lunatic (always complaining about being trapped in the sewer and the rats that ate his legs) Good names hard to come by? Nahhh... Give me a ring, tell me yer Architype (mebby Origin too if you think that will help) Powersets and perhaps a screenie of your costume and I'll give you a name that fits and sounds at least remotely cool and unique

    I'm a professional, trust me o.O

  18. DriveBy on Pinnacle. Thug/FF Mastermind. Good names are NOT hard to come by
(FYI I usually play at the lowest graphic settings possible besides screen resolution hence why the outfit looks a bit craptactular)

I got it, even though I'm a Oh wait, thats right. my character is a Torrie infected with a bit of Malk in there... so hes a nutter with a love for the fine arts.
  20. Figure I would throw out my creativity out there to give some examples,
    Freedom:
    Jonathan Irons - WP/SS Tank, Level 50
Garasene Demon - Rad/Kin Corr, Level 50 (The Old-School name for "Legion")
Gen. Harry Johnson - Merc/Pain MM, Level 40 (Don't know what I was thinking and aiming for a name change)
    Bane Recluse - Crab/Bane, level 33
Rak'tah - Peacebringer, Level 27 (Decided to make a name that sounded Alien in origin)
James Ruckus - Sonic/Mental Blaster, Level 23 and going strong
Shogun Raiko - Ninja/Storm MM, level 21 (started this toon when the natural pack came out with a team bud of mine)
Stygian Renegade - WarShade, Level 13 (Not much love for this one because finding some lowbie teams willing to keep the WS alive isn't easy. lol)
    Cyber-Jolt - Elec/Shield Scrapper, Level 11
Akira Hayato - Zombie/Dark MM, Level 11 (Un-dead ninja mastermind)
    Operation Meltdown - Rad/Rad Defender, Level 10
The other 3 slots I got are for "throw-away" characters, to test em out and figure out if I like the build or not.
After looking at my Virtue server list... >.> Not a character there under the 60 day mark for offline time.

Pinnacle the server I re-started my gaming with CoX at:
    DriveBy - Thug/FF MM, Level 21 (solo)
Gibbering Lunatic - Psychic/Mind Controller Level 31 (Namesake. Not sure if thats what the power set truly is as I'm naming them all off the top of my head from what I can recall)
    Grandmaster Drak'nah - Kin/Elec defender, Level 22
Ex0duS - I think... Energy/Sonic Corrupter, Level 30 (This one was based off a moniker I took during my younger more illegal years if you catch my drift)

So yeah personally I don't think its hard to make a creative name, but it can be difficult.

  21. Ok, that makes a bit more sense, I wish they (or someone) would document these commands better for everybody to understand...
  22. *bump* YET ANOTHER one with MM's.

Upon zoning pets have a habit of "forgetting" I've trained them in the first place. the "train everybody with everything" type of animation plays but I don't see any of my mercs with their helmets on signifying that they were trained. Same thing with my ninjas, zombies and, robots. Not sure about thugs but I'm pretty sure if those are affected all of them are.

Could be a bug just related to that specific toon or it could just be a bug where /arena doesn't work in areas without a arena.

    'Nother one.

Difficulty set at +0/x0/No AV Yet Everything is spawning +1 to my level including Minions showing as yellow. (I'm level 20 and they show up as level 21) This seems to be across all characters that have not modified their difficulty rating.

/arena command no longer works. Nor does its pseudo command /ac

I actually shut off walk afterwards, the buff from Mystic fortune did not apply. All that was there was Defiance and Swift.
